Opposition leader in Afghanistan killed in blastFormer defense chief and Afghan opposition leader Ahmed Shah Masood was injured on Sept. 9, 2001, in an explosion in northern Afghanistan. He died a few days later. The suspects, two men from Algeria posing as journalists, allegedly hid the explosive device in their camera.
