Jenna's bling isn't engagement ring

WASHINGTON -- Jenna Bush had bling, but it doesn't mean a thing.

During inaugural festivities Tuesday, the president's daughter was photographed wearing a ring on the finger typically reserved for engagement rings.

But Gordon Johndroe, a spokesman for her mother, Laura Bush, said yesterday that 23-year-old Jenna is not getting hitched, at least not in the immediate future.

It was unclear why she chose to wear the jewelry on the ring finger of her left hand.

''She's still single," Johndroe said, adding that she was not engaged and had not secretly wed.
