Senate Roll Call: How they voted on stimulus bill

The 52-42 roll call by which the Senate on Friday blocked a bill to pump $56 billion in government spending into the economy.

On this vote, a "yes" vote was a vote in favor of the bill and a "no" vote was a vote to stop its progress. Supporters of the bill needed 60 votes to advance it.

Voting "yes" were 44 Democrats, 6 Republicans and 2 independents.

Voting "no" were 40 Republicans and 2 Democrats.
