WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama will spend part of Friday afternoon visiting with troops wounded in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The president will drop in at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., for a private visit.

Later, he delivers remarks at a conservation event at the Interior Department.

Earlier in the day, Obama and Vice President Joe Biden get their daily briefing and will sit down in the Oval Office with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. She's recently returned from a conference on Syria.
