Director, Office of Science and Technology Policy

John Holdren, Harvard University professor of environmental science and public policy, will be Obama's science adviser.

Holdren also will direct the Council of Advisers on Science and Technology, along with co-chairs Harold Varmus, former director of the National Institutes of Health, and MIT professor Eric Lander, a human genome researcher.
