Rep. Wayne Gilchrest of Maryland

Gilchrest, a former Marine Corps officer who was wounded in Vietnam, joined a Democratic majority on March 23 to defy Bush and call for a September 2008 pullout of US forces from Iraq. He said the vote was difficult.

"We have General [David] Petraeus, and American soldiers, who are extraordinarily competent, implementing a flawed policy," he told the Baltimore Sun.
