It was a Sunday morning, and I as usual picked up the morning paper. Was stunned and woke up my husband to have a look. Its terrible. To think of it all these space flights are a miracle, and mankind has really prospered to make these possible. My hearfelt condolenses to all the family members of the 7 heroes.

The Crew of the Shuttle of Columbia February 1, 2003

You fly to the stars,
And live in the dreams of man.
You sleep with the gentle Moon,
And play with the warm Sun.
The joys of exploration and discovery,
The spirit of courageous men,
The pioneers into the unknown universe,
Live forever with the stars and the Sun.
You look down from the sky,
Behind a wall of blazing fire.
You see a sea of tears and flowers,
And mountains of love and prayers.
You wave to the children and your loved ones,
Before your expedition to the Promised Land.
You laugh at the risks on the dangerous mission,
New heights have to be reached and the journey will go on.

Tom, Naperville, IL
