This train station near Colonia Juarez was built by Miles Park Romney. Mitt Romney's father, George, was among those who fled by train during the Mexican Revolution. But descendants of other Romneys, including Mike Romney, seen at left, live in the desert town. Gaskell and George visited Colonia Juarez on a sentimental trip in 1941. George's son, Mitt Romney, was born in 1947 and has never visited the town.
