Scott Brown's road to the US Senate
Scott Brown began his political career in 1992 when he was elected as an assessor in his home town of Wrentham. In 1995, he was elected to the Wrentham Board of Selectmen, then the Massachusetts House of Representatives for the Ninth Norfolk District in 1998.
In February 2004, then state Representative Brown faced Democrat Angus McQuilken of Millis (pictured, center) in a debate moderated by Jon Keller (right) at the WB56 studios. Brown won the special election for the suburban state Senate seat vacated by Cheryl Jacques.
