Barbour announced April 25, 2011, he would not be a candidate for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.In a statement, he highlighted the grueling personal commitment that had made his wife, Marsha, wary of such a campaign.
Barbour said he voted for Newt Gingrich in the Mississippi primary in March, but said that Romney is "finally a real front-runner."
