Why are you running?

People have asked me why I would run for state representative against all odds; against an incumbent from the majority-rule party that has been dragging this state down with no regard for the middle-class, working-class taxpayers that the Democrat party claims to represent.

The people have lost any semblance of real representation, as envisioned by the Founding Fathers, because the status quo on Beacon Hill and their special-interest friends rule the day.

Over the last two decades, working-class families overburdened by job losses and continually escalating taxes grabbed any means of transportation they could find to get out of Dodge. In many cases, the excessive taxes are used to create a VERY comfortable lifestyle for those who have been feeding off the system for, in some cases, several generations.

Businesses left the Commonwealth before the working class because of the endless new taxes, regulations, and fees they were being burdened with.

Something or someone had to give, and the lawyers running the show on what people derisively call "Bacon Hill" said that they didn't care about anyone but themselves or their special interest friends; as witnessed by their actions.

I want to help return our government to one which answers to the people; to reform the status quo where the government rules the people with contemptuous arrogance.
