New Hampshire Secretary of State Bill Gardner yesterday set the date of the first in the nation New Hampshire presidential primary for Jan. 10. That is just two days after the 2008 primary, which was held Jan. 8 and was the earliest primary in Granite State history. “The New Hampshire primary has really been for those regardless of their status, whether they have fame or fortune, they have a chance here,’’ Gardner said, before he set the date for the state’s 25th presidential primary.
