The difference in styles between the buttoned-down, nostalgic Romney, who rarely wanders off script except to ask data-driven questions, and the impetuous, expansive Gingrich, who seems all too happy to meander off his message to talk about books, recite dates and muse about history, has only intensified in the closing days before the caucus.
