A new ad by the pro-Obama super PAC Priorities USA Action claims Mitt Romney “made millions off companies that went bankrupt’’ and says he is “proposing a huge new $150,000 tax cut for the wealthiest 1 percent.’’ The contentions are rooted in fact but don’t tell the whole story. Romney also invested in companies that enjoyed long-term success and hiring, and his tax plan would slash every American’s tax rate by a fifth.
