Mitt Romney on Tuesday night came back to the state where his campaign began nearly 11 months ago, now as the almost-certain Republican nominee and preparing for a vigorous battle with an incumbent president. After months of tense election nights, spent waiting for voters to have their say in a volatile Republican nominating contest, the results Tuesday night were predictable. Romney was expected to win all five contests - in New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Connecticut - with the Republican Party essentially crowning Romney as their nominee.
