After countless handshakes, hours campaigning, and tens of thousands of phone calls, the candidates running for mayor will gather at hubs across the city for their election night fetes.
For two, it will be a victory party, complete with whoops and cheers.
It will be an end of the road for the other 10. Their final gatherings will be a chance to wish their volunteers well and gear up for a life out of the political spotlight.
