    Former Massachusetts treasurer Tim Cahill smiled after the judge declared a mistrial in his corruption trial in Suffolk Superior Court. After seven days of deliberations, jurors told the judge they were deadlocked. The deliberations began Dec. 4 and consumed an estimated 40 hours of closed-door conversations.
