Heading North

From Downtown (East of Charles Street)

Starting point: Atlantic Avenue

Drive North on Atlantic Avenue, staying on it as it becomes Commercial Street.

Follow Commercial Street along the waterfront to North Washington Street. Even though the security zone for the FleetCenter starts here, you can go right over the North Washington Street / Charlestown Bridge.

Follow signs for the Tobin Bridge and Route 1 North. From Route 1, take the appropriate roads for your town.

Expect delays along Atlantic Avenue and Commercial Street and around City Square in Charlestown.
