Although these snowy cornfields make Waukee, Iowa, look like the stereotypical, quaint Midwestern town, the city is actually booming. Waukee is the fastest growing city in the fastest growing county in Iowa. Accompanying the surge in population is an influx of independent voters, which has helped make the 2008 presidential race a heated, exhilarating event for locals.
