"My generation grew up in an era when we feared calling ourselves Arab American, but my kids' generation carry their Arabism as a badge of honor,'' said Jumana Judeh, a Palestinian-American who served for a time on the Dearborn Heights City Council. For the first presidential debate, Judeh hosted a gathering of influential locals who reflected on the changes in their community.
