On April 26, 2000, Senator McCain of Arizona told his son Jack about his time as a Vietnam War POW as they looked into a prison cell at the Hoa Lo prison, nicknamed "The Hanoi Hilton" by American prisoners. McCain spent three years locked up in the prison. The McCain family returned to Vietnam over the 2002 holidays as well.
