Texas Governor Rick Perry, the tough-talking Tea Party favorite from Texas, came to Massachusetts Tuesday night to speak before the non-partisan Pioneer Institute policy research group in downtown Boston.
Perry, who has displaced former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney as frontrunner for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, headlined the group's 20th annual Better Government Competition Awards Dinner at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
We talked to some of the dinner guests before they entered the event to see what they think about Perry challenging Romney.
Take a look at what they said.
