Hold a presidential debate in Philadelphia -- home to the fictional Rocky -- and the boxing metaphors were bound to fly.
"I think this has been the most hyped fight since Rocky fought Apollo Creed, although the amazing thing is I'm Rocky in this situation," Barack Obama said, opening Tuesday night's Democratic bout.
While Obama and John Edwards landed some jabs and body blows on front-runner Hillary Clinton, there was no knockout punch.
Clinton, who may have felt like a punching bag, responded today with a clever web video, titled "The Politics of Pile On," in which her rivals say her name over and over while music plays from "The Marriage of Figaro."
"Well I got my boxing gloves on," she told NBC News. "I'm ready. I'll go 10 rounds."
Enough already: We're down for the count.
