Clinton plans costly last-minute pitch

Posted by Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor December 27, 2007 02:12 PM

Hillary Clinton will make a caucus-eve pitch to Iowa voters, an unusual two-minute speech that will air during every 6 p.m. newscast in the state next Wednesday, her campaign announced today.

"Hillary will continue to make the case that in the face of great challenges, she has the experience to make change happen starting on day one," her campaign said in a statement.

She is trying to highlight her experience as first lady in contrast to what her campaign calls Barack Obama's relative inexperience, with only three years in the US Senate.

The campaign did not disclose the cost of the ads, but they are bound to be pricey, given they are four times as long as the usual TV spot and will air on every station.

  1. The Politico -- Obama's "rookie mistakes:" Sen. Barack Obama's Democratic senator from Illinois "has also shown a tendency toward seemingly minor contradictions and rhetorical slips that serve as reminders that he is still a newcomer to national politics." we originally found ourselves a bit miffed that Sen. Obama has improved his fortunes so much. After all, as far as we can determine, the junior Senator from Illinois has distinguished himself for only two things: Uttering mind-numbing platitudes that would make the average politician blush and speaking ill-advisedly on matters of foreign policy. This, for example, was the guy who claimed he would blithely chat up Iran with no preconditions, right after he bombed Pakistan into the Stone Age. Well, that sounds pretty reasonable, doesn’t it? Tell us more about your deep-seated political wisdom, Sen. Obama.A foul-up again by the Obama campaign in South Carolina causing bad publicity in the home stretch. ministers have come forward and said they did not endorse Obama, despite their inclusion on his list of endorsements that the campaign had put out, .It could be that on a list of over 100 endorsements. 1. The corporations have deep pockets, and Hillary is just getting started when it comes to spending other people's money. And when robbing Peter to pay Paul, she can always count on getting Paul's support.

Hopefully everyone recognized how generous she in "giving" everyone presents in her Christmas ad. But she was on a shopping spree with the taxpayers' credit card.

Let's get government back within the US Constitution, end the empire-building, and restore liberty to We the People. Ron Paul is the only honest man left in the race.

  1. Support a self made person.
    - as you would support the same in your own community.
    Say No to Nepotism.
    - as you would say No to Nepotism in your own community.
Say No to triangulated Iraq War green-light votes.
    - as you have said no to Bush's botched war in your own community.

Say yes to a new brighter vision for America.
It's time to Rise and Shine again.

Barack Obama for President of the United States of America.
