Edwards calls on Iowans to rise up

Trying to make a final-stretch comeback in Iowa, John Edwards is launching two new TV ads in Iowa with a similar theme:

Corporate greed and special interests are stealing the future of the middle class, and it's time for Americans to rise up.

Edwards says in the ads -- one titled "Choice," the other "Time for Truth" -- that Iowans can start a "wave of change" by choosing him. He has been waging the most populist campaign, and the ads feature him giving rousing speeches on the trail.

While the former US senator from North Carolina, who finished second in the 2004 Iowa caucuses, is in third in most polls behind Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, he has been inching up in the standings and his campaign is claiming momentum.
