Giuliani says he'd be like Reagan

By Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor December 5, 2007 09:46 AM

Rudy Giuliani reaches for the mantle of Republican icon Ronald Reagan in a new TV ad unveiled today, suggesting that he would bring the same tough-minded attitude to dealing with America's enemies.

"I remember back to the 1970s and the early 1980s," Giuliani says in the ad, which will air on local stations in New Hampshire and Boston.

"Iranian mullahs took American hostages and they held the American hostages for 444 days. And they released the American hostages in one hour, and that should tell us a lot about these Islamic terrorists that we're facing. The one hour in which they released them was the one hour in which Ronald Reagan was taking the oath of office as president of the United States.

"The best way you deal with dictators, the best way you deal with tyrants and terrorists, you stand up to them. You don't back down," Giuliani concludes.

But the analogy in the ad might be something of a stretch. Reagan succeeded a Democrat, Jimmy Carter, while Giuliani is trying to follow a fellow Republican. And Giuliani's policies on Islamic terrorists, very similar to President Bush's, would not represent a sea change.

  1. NOTE:
Rudy and the media LEAVE OUT the fact that Rudy IS just like Reagan in his hyper-liberal ways.

EX: Reagan created the largest debt in all human history, and Mayor Rudy created the largest debt in human history on a municipal level.

EX: Reagan hated democracy with a passion, as proven by his support of Apartheid in South Africa, his support for terrorists overthrowing democracy in Nicaragua, Saudi Arabia, and on and on. WHY won't the media report any of this?

    WHY

  1. ALSO: Rudy says he supported Reagan funding and training terrorists like Osama and Saddam. I believe him!

He also said he supported Bush giving 41 MILLION of our tax dollars to the Taliban in Summer 2001. This is enough to hang Rudy right there for treason and crimes against humanity.

There are literally thousands more examples like these. This guy is a two-face criminal.
