Huckabee tied for national lead in polls

Posted by Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor December 10, 2007 07:01 PM

Two new national polls out this evening generally agree on the state of the presidential race.

Mike Huckabee, continuing his remarkable rise, is in a statistical tie with Rudy Giuliani on the Republican side.

And Barack Obama is closing on Hillary Clinton on the Democratic side.

In the CNN/Opinion Research survey, Giuliani has 24 percent, Huckabee 22 percent, Mitt Romney 16 percent, John McCain 13 percent, and Fred Thompson 10 percent.

In the New York Times/CBS News poll, Giuliani has 22 percent, Huckabee 21 percent, Romney 16 percent, and McCain and Thompson 7 percent each.

Among Democrats, CNN's survey puts Clinton at 40 percent, Obama at 30 percent, and John Edwards at 14 percent. The Times/CBS poll has Clinton at 44 percent, Obama at 27 percent, and Edwards at 11 percent.

One interesting finding in the Times survey: while 44 percent of Democrats said Bill Clinton's involvement made it more likely they would support his wife, only 1 percent said they would be swayed by Oprah Winfrey's support for Obama, despite the thousands who showed up for rallies over the weekend.

Huckabee raised taxes by 505 MILLION Dollars in his State.
He advocated for the release of a rapist who after his release raped another young woman.
He supports the legalization and college tuition breaks for illegal immigrants. In 1992
Huckabee proposed that the federal government should quarantine all individuals who are HIV positive.

If you have HIV positive, are you going to support and vote for Huckabee??

If you are a working person and need every cent of your hard earned money, are you going to vote for Huckabee who has a history of raising taxes that takes money from your wallet and family??

Definitely, criminals will vote for Huckabee and they will surely receive a "get out of jail" card free. As he did before, Huckabee will release or pardon sex offenders and then schools and shopping centers will not be safe. America will not be safe anymore.

If you are a women will you be safe if sex offenders are wondering the streets day and night??
Are you going to vote for Huckabee?
Think about it seriously before throwing your support behind Huckabee..

Why is Huckabee surging ahead in the polls? Not just in Iowa either... he is now in 2nd place in the Rasmussen National poll, and is in a statistical dead heat with Giuliani in both the CNN and the New York Times/CBS polls. He certainly does not have the money or organization that Giuliani and Romney have. He doesn't have the name recognition that McCain and Thompson have. So why is he rising so fast? I think it is because of his performance in the debates. When questioned in the debates, his answers make sense. He has a strong solution to the border problem, and good ideas for energy independence, and the Fair Tax. Contrast that with Romney, who comes across as just a little too slick and unsure of himself on almost everything. Huckabee will give Rudy a run for his money because of Giuliani's weaker positions on abortion and gun control. Read Huckabee's positions for yourself (at www.mikehuckabee.com) and you'll see why conservatives across the country are rallying behind him.

Do you remember those old alien invasion or monster movies from the 1960s? The frightened townspeople would gather their best minds together to come up with a solution.(usually this would be the high school teacher, a sheriff and his daughter, a local doctor and his girlfriend, along with the mad scientist - who perhaps invented the monster in the first place!) Oh yes! Let's electrocute him! Only to find that he was empowered by the surge. How about gasoline? No fool! He drinks it like water. Fire, perhaps? Oh no! That just makes him taller.

Mike Huckabee appears to be able to take whatever the frightened establishment Republicans can throw at him. He's no monster, but appears to be by those who don't mind baby killing but can't stand someone to the left of them on any economic issue.

A good turn of events would be to see Fred Thompson dropping from the race. This would give an opportunity to his, now former supporters, to react in favor of either one the front runners, Giuliani or Huckabee.

Why arent people talking about Ron Paul?

Huckabee's raise in popularity has come only because prior he has said very little, if anything at all of substance and value, all in the while Ron Paul has been staying consistant with his word all along.

Ron Paul alone is the best choice for the Republican party and for America as a whole.

He has NEVER voted to Raise taxes.
He voted AGAINST the War in Iraq.
He wants to Abolish the IRS and the Federal Income Tax
He wants to send our troops HOME from Iraq and elsewhere abroad.
And though HE is personally opposed to Abortion, he feels that it is NOT the Federal Governments responsiblity to regulate such matters.
He voted AGAINST the Patriot Act.

He has been married to the same woman for 50 years. If you are a true conservative who believes in family values, he is your man. Not Adultering Guiliani.
Mitt Romney, a flip flopper for popular opinion in such matters as abortion, Ron Paul has stayed consistant in all his views.

go to Ron Paul's website, www.ronpaul2008.com and you'll see why many of Huckabee's popular views are simple rip off's of his.

support ron paul for the 2008 primaries in your state by voting for liberty, national soveirgnty and Ron Paul for President.

People are talking about Ron Paul. The major media is not. Major media outlets are subsidiaries of larger corporations with the majority of them being owned by 5, count them, only 5 entities. With major arms manufactures among these, ask yourself again, why aren't they talking about Ron Paul. The only protection that the American people currently have against massive doses of pro-war, fascist propaganda is existing laws that prevent any "one" company from owning more than one radiio broadcasting station and one newspaper) within the same city. These FCC laws are being changed to allow them to buy up the rest which will doom us to non stop BS from big business.

It's time to take our country back. Vote for the only "Republican" candidate, vote Ron Paul.

I'm 15 years old but I'm very interested in the 2008 presidential election.
If I could vote, I would definitely vote for Ron Paul. The other candidates seem to wishy washy, and most of their views and opinions not only do not represent Americas views and opinions, but are not the right kind of thinking for the future generations.
Please, research Ron Paul. The more you hear about him, the more you will like him. And the more you like him, the more people you will tell. The more people you tell, the more people will vote for him. And as a result, the better America's future will be.
