Romney ad hits Huckabee on crime

I think there is something to be said about not being pardon happy like president Clinton was.

Vote Huckabee and you get another liberal Clinton.

christmas is the celebration of the bith of jesus christ and if anyone do not want to celebrate it then don't but remember, each time you give a gift to someone else, you are mimicking the 3 wise men that gave gifts to jesus at his birth and most importantly, you are mimicking the giving factor that God gave his only begotten son to the world. I am so proud of Huckabee i do not know what to do. He is a man of principle and he surely just sealed the deal with my vote. He will win and big he will, and while the pundits try to demise him, or his other political rivals try to make him look bad. They may want to look at the mirror at themselves. You got flip flopping mitt, dead fred, pimped out guiliani and no brain mccain. Huckabee is the dure winner and will win big. Holy Huck, Holy War, Holy Crap!
During a speech at CBN Huckbee lists his theology degree as a qualification for The Presidency. There are two problems with this. First, he does not have a theology degree and thus lied. His justification of this lie is as follows: “I have a bachelor of arts in religion... And then I have 46 hours on a master's degree at Southwestern Theology Seminary… three years of study of New Testament Greek, and then the rest of it, all in Seminary was theological studies, but my degree was actually in religion." This leads to the second problem, Huckbee thinks he is running for pasture and chief with a better understanding of the holy war in the Middle East. In the same speech he said “I'm stronger than most people because I truly understand the nature of the war that we are in with Islamofascism. These are people that want to kill us. It's a theocratic war. And I don't know if anybody fully understands that.” So if any of my readers ever thought that the Middle East was a complex conflict of social, economic, and ideological issues, you were wrong. It’s purely a holy war, Huck says so and he knows better then most (sarcasm).

I must admit that I too believe that Islamofascism is at the heart of the conflict, but I would never misjudge the situation as that simple. But I guess with an illustrious degree from Southwestern Theology Seminary under your belt, you can forego critical thought and analysis.

If you feared that we had a holy war on our hands, wait until this guy gets into office. Not to mention that many Evangelicals what to galvanize the Middle East in order to expedite the second coming of Christ.

Huckabee's got about another 7-10 days until he wipes off that 15-minute-of-fame Howard Dean/Fred Thompson FAD wave.

I don't necessarily like 'contrast' ads, but in this case it is justified. Iowans think Huckabee is more conservative than he is -- and that needs to come out over the next couple of weeks. The other issue I have with Huckabee is that he cannot win in a general election. He doesn't have the intellect, staff, money or resources to be successful against Clinton's big political machine. Romney and Giuliani are the only two viable candidates from the Republican side. I align myself with the more conservative, Romney.

Tax Hikes, taxpayer funded perks for illegals (surprise surprise they have one of the fastest growing illegal populations.) 6 ethics violations, and over 1 thousand paroles and commutations. The man is a pro-gun, pro-life liberal that will get killed in the general election.

TrustMitt has a point about the middle east conflict being much more than a "Holy War" but to suggest that Huckabee's sole position on the conflict is theological is simply untrue nor is his position that "simple". It seems to me that TrustMitt's post is aimed at diminishing Mike's intellect by questioning his education and part of his perspective on the middle east conflict. Mitt is a strong family values canidate like Mike but lets not forget that the overwhelming majority of Americans are Christians who believe in Jesus Christ of the bible and not the jesus christ that Mitt proclaims as his savior. Mike is pandering to the Christian majority.

Furthermore Christians do not believe they can "expedite" the second coming of Christ as TrustMitt suggests. I think you have Christians confused with Muslims like the Iranian president who personally believes he can speed up the coming of a particular Muslim prophet written about in the Koran. As it relates to the Iranian leader this is a Holy War becasue he believes it is one. Look it up!

I have finally climbed aboard the Mitt Romney train. It took me a while to fully commit, but the tipping point came as Mike Huckabee's flash in the pan shed light on his lack of character and character judgement. I really don't care what he obtained his degree in or his religious/spiritual background. I care that he seems to be a Clinton in Republican clothing. Pardons galore. Lack of foreign policy understanding. Personal attacks. Insincerity. Good old boy attitude. These are all Clinton traits. What more will we learn as Mike falls out of the frying pan and into the fire.

I am getting tired of Mtt Romney's negative ads. He spent more than 10x $$$ in campaign yet is loosing the race. How can I see him in the White House with all the tax payers $$? By the way, social conservatives, can you trust Romey's "change of hearts"?

The only thing Huckabee wants you to think is that he is some how qualified to be president because he used to be a baptist minister and a so called true "Christian Leader". Answer me this;

*Would a true christian leader grant 1,033 pardons and commutations, including 12 convicted murderers?

*Would a true christian steal over $70,000 worth of furniture from the Arkansas governers mansion?

NO! Huckabee is a fraud that advertises his religion because where it matters, his record, he's got nothing! Huckabee is a wolf in sheep's clothing!

Zero pardons or commutations. I think Mitt Romney must misunderstand the purpose of a criminal justice system. Gov. Romney said it best that in his view the purpose of the system is judgement instead of justice. The purpose of a criminal justice system is not revenge but decreasing crime and rehabilitating law breakers. From this ad and Gov. Huckabee's statements, he has accomplished both purposes.

All the bashing by the media and all the negative ads in the world will not change the fact that Mike Huckabee remains easily the most intelligent, resourceful, and principled man in either party to be running for President. That is why the people of thiscountry will elect him their next President.

Let's see, the USA is telling Iraq that they can't have an imam (Islamic priest) as their political leader but it is OK for the USA to have a Baptist minister as their president.

He only let 12% go free? including 12 murderers.

During most of Romney's term in office, there existed an agency called the Governor's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth. It was established before Romney came to power but it existed throughout his tenure. Even though he had legal control over this entity and the Commissioners served at his pleasure, he never dissolved the Commission, nor attempted to dictate who its members were, nor even restricted how it used its funding.

The Governor's Commission was perhaps the largest government-sanctioned promoter of the homosexual agenda to children in the United States. This entity spent millions of state tax dollars promoting the gay-lesbian-bisexual-transgender (GLBT) radicalism in Massachusetts schools by inundating them with GLBT speakers, presentations, films, books, parades, dances, posters, handouts, and help establishing GLBT clubs on campus.

Romney proposed allocating $250,000 for the Governor's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth for fiscal year 2006, twice what he proposed for FY05.

In 2004, Romney issued an official state proclamation celebrating "Gay Youth Pride Day" even though there was no legal reason requiring him to do this. The proclamation proudly touted "landmark" gay rights legislation in Massachusetts and boasted of supporting "the Commonwealth's gay and lesbian youth through school-based and educational programs."

It is fair to contrast Huckabee’s recent statements with his record, but we must be prudent to do the same with Mitt Romney.

Huckabee is all lip service and no action. He “sounds good” in the debate, but the more that I learn of this guy the less I like him. I mean here is a guy who gave out over 1000 commutations and pardons—that is more than double the three previous Arkansas Governor’s gave out combined. He rose over $500 million in taxes. He also supported college tuition breaks for illegal immigrants. All of this while Governor of Arkansas. Trust me, though he “sounds good” with his witty one-liners and smooth talk to stir the emotions…Huckabee is not the guy for the GOP.

Romney is a seasoned and accomplished flip-flopper.

During his campaign for Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney promised judicial reform for Massachusetts. The reality is he left the system more broken than it was before his term in office. Judge Tuttman is not an isolated incident. Governor Romney also nominated and pushed for the confirmation of Judge Mitchel J. Sikora to the Massachusetts Court of Appeals. When Romney did this, he was made personally aware by me that Judge Sikora had a track record of "outrageous" leniency toward violent criminals. By way of example only, prior to the judicial confirmation hearing, members of the public made Governor Romney personally aware that Judge Sikora had:

„h Acquitted the man who killed Jacqueline O' Donald finding that, giving her the date-rape drug GBL was not "reckless or wanton" enough to sustain the charge of manslaughter because Dolan "did not know the drug was dangerous to the point of grave bodily harm." „h Released a rapist from the Treatment Center for the Sexually Dangerous in Bridgewater, over the strenuous objections of the Department of Corrections. Shortly after Judge Sikora released him, the rapist/pedophile was arrested for stalking girls with a rope, rock, and knife in his car, - his weapons of choice. The above are merely a few examples of the abhorrent behavior of Judge Mitchel Sikora. The public documents that Judge Sikora was untruthful during his confirmation hearing. In spite of his personal knowledge all that kind of record, Governor Romney elevated Judge Sikora to a higher court. If Romney becomes president of America, we will see a callous disregard for the quality of the federal judicial appointments and the protection of the public.
