A rocky start in Massachusetts
SPRINGFIELD -- Hillary Clinton’s usually-top-notch advance staff are having a bad morning here in the basketball arena at Springfield College. Forty-five minutes ago, they had a few thousand people revved up.
The president of the student government introduced the New York Senator. The music grew louder. People jumped to their feet and cheered. And clapped…and stopped clapping. And stood…and sat.
Clinton was not in the building. Apparently she was not even in the city. A rather embarrassing announcement was made that she was running a bit behind. Since then people have been chitchatting and trying to endure the ear-splitting music.
Now, 45 minutes later, the traveling press is beginning to trickle in so we imagine she’ll take the stage soon.

If this isn't some sort of metaphysical manifestation of the Clinton campaign this week, I don't know what is. Hillary really needs some momentum right about now, and making everyone wait and wait and wait for her pearls of wisdom surely will not help.
How childish of you to stoop this low so that you can have something negative to say about Hillary. Have you never been late? Boston.com has deteriorated to such depths, it is sad and comical. Did you not notice anything of import happening on the planet to report that you had to make sure we all knew that Hillary is late for a rally! You people really need to grow up!
Better late then......
wait a minute I'll take never
Sexist editor? Politicians, being human, are sometimes late. Would this have appeared as if it were a big deal if the candidate were a male?
Well, it must be impossible with the schedule Ms. Clinton has to be on to be on time every time but the president of the student government should have been informed that she was not in the building and would be late and someone from the Hillary group should have called and said they were running late!

The Clinton train is being derailed. This could get ugly, especially if Al Gore announces is endorsement for Obama later in the week. You think they are whiny little brats now, just wait...
Gee, none of the other reports I googled talk about this, wonder if the Globe news and editorial are merging again?
Let's see John Kerry, Patrick Deval, Ted Kennedy - can we say OLD BOY'S CLUB?
They just want to be sure a woman is NOT elected.......
I'm disgusted by Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, doing everything they can to bring down the opportunity to elect a woman president.
