Huckabee talks jobs, eyes better than third in Michigan
Mike Huckabee stands third in the polls leading up to Tuesday's crucial Michigan primary, but said today he hopes to pull off a better finish, fueled by grassroots supporters who believe he is the "only candidate that gets it when it comes to understanding the real economic issues we do face in this country."
Reublican rivals John McCain and Mitt Romney, who are first and second in the polls, have been sparring in recent days over who has the better prescription for what ails Michigan, whose 7.4 percent unemployment rate in November was the highest in the country. On CNN's "American Morning," Huckabee said from Kalamazoo that the country needs to help Michigan.
"There was a time when this country, Franklin Roosevelt called it the arsenal of democracy," Huckabee said. "The heartland of that arsenal is Michigan. Michigan once saved the United States by being able to manufacture in a hurry our capacity to build up our army and win World War II. We owe Michigan something. They once saved us and now it's time for us to look at trying to save them."
He also said that as fears of a recession rise, Washington should look at cutting tax rates, dipping into the strategic oil reserve to keep prices down, and more aggressively enforcing trade agreements.

We are behind you Mike! What you stand for defines us as Americans. Your unwavering views of the issues tell that you believe in some things, and those are the things that we believe in too.
We Like Mike!
Huckabee believes in lower taxes, less government, a strong national defense, and sealed borders. He is pro-life and pro-family. How much more conservative can you get? Limbaugh must be off his meds. Or maybe he's just mad because he thinks Huckabee supports a nationwide smoking ban. Get your facts straight, Limbaugh. Huckabee supports a ban in the WORKPLACE, not in restaurants/bars, homes and cars. I completely agree with this. We have a nationwide ban on shooting people because it harms someone else. Same thing with smoking. Why should my health be jeopardized when I go to work just because someone wants to protect the rights of smokers? Ridiculous.
MICHIGAN ROMNEY BACKER SWITCHES TO HUCKABEE

As most polls of likely primary voters in Michigan now show a near-tie between Republicans Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and John McCain, the Romney camp got a jolt Saturday as a key backer announced he was switching his support to Huckabee.
With three days to go before the primary, State Rep. Fulton J. Sheen of Allegan County, introduced Huckabee at the Amway Grand Hotel and announced he was changing to the former Arkansas governor from native Michigander Romney. In an exclusive interview the evening before his announcement, stalwart conservative Sheen -- namesake-nephew of the legendary Roman Catholic bishop in the 1940’s and %u201850’s -- said that Romney’s attacks on Huckabee’s Fair Tax proposal convinced him to switch to the Arkansas man.

Michigan, If you feel in your heart that Mike Huckabee is THE best man to lead this country into the future as I do - Let America know! All of America is watching - Let your voice be heard! I wish that I had as much power to effect who will be our next President as you do! Cast one for me -Will you!?!
Go Mike Huckabee!
Mike Huckabee has the best command of the issues vital to Americans from all walks of life. Huckabee is no silverspooned fancy lad, he is one of us.
Mike Huckabee is hands down the best communicator in the race today.
Mike Huckabee is the most consistent honorable candidate in the race today.
Mike Huckabee is the only candidate putting forward bold ideas to move America forward.
If you haven't already done so, please take a peek at www.mikehuckabee.com and judge for yourself.
Mike for Prez...HUCK YEA!!
Unfortunately, Fred Thompson's continued pursuit of this race is diluting possible votes for Huckabee. If Fred would drop out, we might see a better chance for our man.
Could it be that there is actually something other than the welfare state or corporate serfdom? Could it be that humans are not pendulums swinging unconsciously from one extreme to the next simply for the sake of swinging?
Or could it be that we have hearts and minds and do not need to swing? I am a former Democrat but I am voting for Huckabee because his is the only platform that designed for human beings.
I am a Huckabee supporter and work as a volunteer in Myrtle Beach, SC. All you Huckabee supporters, we need you to volunteer in your town to make phone calls, go door-to-door, put up yard signs, send emails to your friends. Mike needs our support. We are his ammunition against the millions of dollars his competitors have to toss into this race. Let's tell the country that you can win this race without all the millions if your message is the one we need for this country. Huck's supporters are the absolute best!!!!!
