Why should Obama sail through the nomination without any questions about his record, like his "present votes" and his remark in his own words praising Regan. He was against the Iraq vote in 2002, yet he voted to fund the war, so he should have washed his hands of the whole mess. Mr. Kerry should remember the Swift boat tactics, and what does he think the Republicans will do about Obama's revelations about his past habits? The Republicans will vote for Obama, because they are voting against Hillary in the primaries and Caucus. However does anyone really believe that when they go behind that curtain they will vote for Obama? One last thing is that Obama and his campaign need to stop using the race card. Why make everything, his drug habits, his religion etc etc as something racist?

I suggest anyone who wants to compare Hillary Clinton's words and deeds versus Obama's investigate on their own -the press will not give a fair and balanced view. Massachusetts residents need only look at the similarities in words, speeches, promises of Deval Patrick (another Axelrod confection) and Obama and then look at Patrick's record and recent change from "yes we can" to "don't give up on me" We cannot afford this learning curve in our President- Hope IS just a word if it's not backed up with actions-

Obama praised Reagan to a repug newspaper, and runs ads asking repugs to vote for him. I think this is self explanatory. Obama is running for president as a repug light. Democrats don't want a repug light, we want a real democrat. I voted early for John Edwards who is a real democrat.

I am writing you today out of my DISAPPOINTMENT by the MEDIA, THe Clinton's (Billary), and the National Democratic party. I can PROMISE you I am NOT alone in this. There are MANY who have become litterly SICK to out stomachs over how Sen. Barack Obama has been treated. I see why they call CNN (Clinton News Network) Fox News (Bush and the Republicans) and MSNBC, CBS, ABC ( Are RACIAL and VERY divisive. I see why they call the Democratic party the "group of Jelly-backs" because there is NO way on EARTH the the NDP shoud allow Bill or Hillary Clinton to BASH and LIE and RACIAL divide this Party and this Country.

I am a PROUD College-graduate with a sucesseful job and income that was raised to be a Democrat my ENTIRE life. After this situation if Sen. Obama is NOT elected as the Democratic Nominee I will OFFICIALLY change parties!!!

Atleast with the republican machine, they are honest to let African - Americans know that they don't care about us. After this situation it is my belief that The Clintons were intimidated with Sen. Obama's win in Iowa, with not only African-Americans, but older and younger white voters and women and they saw their "Entitled Presidency" being threated that they decided to LIE and bring up RACE to make "White" voters leave Obama and "black" voters doubt him.

This ENTIRE process has been AWFUL!! THe news lies and twist the stories, the Democratic party does not stand up for the RIGHT canidate, and the Clinton's only care about themselves.

If Sen. Obama does not get the nomination not only will I LEAVE the democratic party but I will PERSONALLY talk to ANY and EVERY news media, person whether they are black, white, latino, old, you, low income, middle income, or high income as to the LIES that the Democratic Party and the Clintons embottle.

Only Sen. Kerry has stood up for him b/c YOU have done him the same way. We stand by you as you LIE year after year to get elected, NEVER passing bills or raising pay, but ALWAYS take millions of dollars for YOURSELf. I hope the Obama TRUTH SQUAD starts telling the truth about the connection between Obama and Tony Rezko the "Slumlord" who in now under Federal Indictment for political corruption in Illinois. Just go Google Tony Rezko and read the Chicago Tribune storys about all their connections. Rezko was Obama's biggest fundraiser for about 15 years. Obama bought his house on the same day Rezko bought the vacant lot next to the house. Obama got a $300,000 reduction in the price, to $1.65 million, but Rezko paid full price for the lot, $650,000. Obama later bought 1/6 of the vacant lot from Rezko. Rezko will go on trial soon and may have information that could be damaging to Obama, many times people in Resko's situation end up ratting out their partners to save their own skin, it is the American way.

The smears about Obama's purported religion -- generating a situation a little like that on Seinfeld, in the episode where homosexuality comes up and characters deny being gay ('not that there's anything wrong with that') are not the only or main issue to the extent that the Swiftboating, which had the open backing of a lot of the supervisory military hierarchy over Kerry. One should note, for example, one issue that to my knowledge hasn't even made a noticeable appearance in the MSM: Obama's benefitting from a performance-and-mcing by Donnie McClurkin, an antigay gospel singer.

Another canard, which DID come up in the debates, is the distorted picture given of Obama's frank recognition of the strategic political success of Reaganism in building a majority coalition, and in the GOP being guided not merely piecemeal and reactively -- like the way the DLC Democrats distinguish themselves from the GOP, but by an overall IDEA (conservatism). Obama indeed said that the GOP may have been the party of ideas, but NOT that these ideas "were good ones".

The list of distortions coming from HRC, her husband prez Bill, and from her campaign and supporters is legion. Obama addressed them gracefully in the Myrtle Beach debate, but needs to address many of these charges in more detail, in combination with perhaps a TV appearance on one of the talk shows TO TALK ABOUT the simultaneously released press releases -- in my arrogant opinion (imao).

But the overall thrust of what Kerry says is right -- you can't beat Hillary by trying to stay "above the fray". And yes, it's obvious that even though Obama projects a sense of dignity and probity in his responses, he and supporters DO need to be aggressive -- including sufficiently aggressive to generation complaining. If there are no complaints, it isn't aggressive enough.

Continue the fight to make to make this Nation a better America for all citizens.

Barack please get back on message. You are not going to win the scum, spin Clinton lie machine war by trying to participate in it. When shrill Hill or lying Bill starts up just smile and point to them and ask, “Do you want 4 more years of this? This is not change, this is more of the exact same politics we have in the White house now. How is this any different then the Rove Swift Boat campaigns?”

My fear for Sen. Obama, is that if he does not get the Nomination, that he will go back to Washington and learn to do things "their" way. This will completely destroy any claims he may have had on being the voice of change should he decide to run again in another 4 years.

Obama, has in my view many fine qualities which would make him a good Presidential Candidate- even with the relative lack of experience. His blunders thus far, and even the "flip-flopping" of positions on certain issues from what I can see is no blatantly worse than those made by Hilary Clinton or his Republican opponents.

Politics is a dirty game, you play to win and roll with the punches. Obama, did not get to be where he is by being pretty and smiling all the time.

It's glarigly clear that the smear campaign started as a desperation move in order to offset Obama's New Hampshire lead. Bubba is held in such high esteem in New Hampshire that he was able to turn the primary around for his wife by spewing half truths that unfortunately stuck (Hillary's deux et machina moment). Fortunately for Obama, the Clinton's laundry list should make for a very easy target. Unfortunately, he's going to have to abandon his strategy of running a campaign based on issues, and defend his record with the same venom the Clintons are attempting to deconstruct his character.
