Paul brings in cash on King holiday
While his Republican rivals issued statements praising the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., Ron Paul and his supporters took the holiday for the slain civil rights leader to bring in more than $1.85 million in campaign cash.
The one-day bonanza on Monday -- the latest for Paul who has made online fund-raising an art form -- had the theme of "Free at last," taking one of the most famous phrases from King's "I have a dream" speech. A video that supporters used to generate interest showed Paul praising King and Rosa Parks as heroes because he said they fulfilled the libertarian ideal of producing change through civil disobedience.
Paul's civil rights credentials were questioned in a New Republic article this month about newsletters published under his name that included racially inflammatory assertions.
Paul issued an immediate response to the article, disavowing the comments, saying they "do not represent what I believe or have ever believed."
"I have never uttered such words and denounce such small-minded thoughts," his statement continued. "In fact, I have always agreed with Martin Luther King Jr. that we should only be concerned with the content of a person's character, not the color of their skin."

Thank you Boston Globe for sharing Dr. King and Dr. Paul's message. Vote Ron Paul for President to restore our constitution and bring the troops home.
Amen Dr Paul...3 solid endorsements today, nearly $2 million yesterday...We're going to wear these frauds out!! yeah!
Ron Paul follows the tradition of Ghandi and Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. He is alone in upholding our Civil Liberties in a time when all other candidates encourage us to sacrifice them for expedience or promised little, temporary safety.
Google Ron Paul!
The MLKday money bomb was put together by Ron Paul's supporters, not Ron Paul's campaign.
As far as they're concerned Paul is the only current presidential candidate attempting to implement many of the things King called for - in contrast to the Democrats (who are still creating color-specific "programs" that amount to segregation) and other Republicans (who are continuing to police the world).
I donated some money to Dr. Paul on Martin Luther King, Jr. day because I fully trust Ron. I have never donated to a presidential candidate before, but I am so enthused about Dr. Paul.... he has the right approach for the economy, world politics, states rights, individual rights, freedom, so on, and so on.
Go Ron Paul!!!!
Victory! Thanks fellow RP supporters.
Where's Rudy? Oh right, in Little Big Horn, Florida. Ron's got the war chest for the long haul. Thanks Boston Globe - for not joining the MSM blackout !
Thank you for the coverage of Ron Paul, it is well deserved. It only take two minutes of listening to Ron Paul to realize he is the truest politician for American citizens. Those who don't recognize the overall benevolence of his beliefs, acknowledge his squeaky clean record and accept the tremendous grassroots movement as proof of his integrity are sadly sheep with wool pulled over their eyes. Ron Paul is truth. Perhaps people haven't heard truth in so long they no longer recognize it. A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for America
Like King, Dr. Paul places himself at great risk in his movement to strip powerful interests of their unconstitutional role in our nation.
Thanks for the slanted view Boston Globe
Thanks Boston Globe...Even handed reporting seems to be lacking among many of the big news conglomerates.
Thanks for reporting the news...even when it highlights a candidate many believe to be lagging in support!
ronpaul2008 . com !!!
Thank you, Boston Globe. Let's keep the contributions coming in honor of these two courageous men.
Ron Paul is the only honest candidate running for president, and he truly does believe what Martin Luther King, Jr. preached - that all men are created equal. I agree with them both, and am proud to say that I helped support the message of freedom yesterday - my third donation. Ron Paul cured my apathy, and has started a wildfire of support.
Martin Luther King, Jr. was not expressing popular opinion when he delivered his 1967 speech, it took tremendous courage on his part. And the speech was much more than an emotional appeal for peace, it included a detailed, intellectual exposition of how years of American interventionist foreign policy had backfired on us - the same points that Dr. Paul has been making consistently for 30 years in Congress (read his book "A Foreign Policy of Freedom").
Dr. Paul exhibits some courage himself, on stage at FoxNews, with McCain, Guiliani, and "Gates of Hell" Huckabee, to stand up and say "It's time to come home!".
God bless Martin Luther King, Jr. and Dr. Ron Paul!
Great, fair, and balanced article! Thank you!
Dr. King carried the hopes and dreams of a great many people and in doing so changed the face of this nation. Dr. Paul also carries the hopes and dreams of a great many people. And as is through history the torch is passed down. May the light of liberty never be extinguished by those who set upon you. May you shine as a beacon to all who look upon you that they may know the greatness that is in you.
Never through fear or intimidation will we back down for our will is strong in the faith of our fathers. For it is now in this moment that our children look to theirs for guidance and principles. For as we march ever forward towards tomorrows future
we carry with us the hopes and dreams of all our fellow men. And as I close I leave you with this is peace liberty and freedom not worth fighting for?
Ron Paul, Would be the front runner if the media would stop it's blackout on his campaign...Lou Dobb's had a poll on his show today, asking which candidate had the most economic knowledge, and he purposely left out Ron Paul's name. Lou Dobbs should be working over at Fox News, they could use another biased phony on their network!
I also donated some money to Ron Paul on MLK day. I have never donated to any politician before, but for once we have someone running for president that is looking out for the people and for freedom. If you are skeptical, search google for Ron Paul, and you will almost immediately know why I sent money for the first time ever. People have to wake up and do something or this country will be lost forever. This is not a time to procrastinate, in 4 years it may be too late, and there may never be a candidate like this again.
Give a few bucks to return our freedom and bill of rights that has been abolished by the people in power.
Thank You Boston Globe! You are probably the biggest news outlet out in the USA that has helped spread the Ron Paul message of freedom and brotherhood in America. For this I thank you. I will probably start reading your online editions of your newspaper more often. As pointed out in this article Dr. Paul agrees with Dr. King in many ways. They both agree that America should not policy the world and they both believe in liberty and equality for all. How can America not vote for someone who is constantly being compared to one of the greatest men of the 20th century?!?!
GO RON PAUL! Let Freedom March On! (Google Ron Paul on his positions and you might be surprised that you actually agree with him on the issues.
What can I say? I support Ron Paul. I too have never really been involved in politics, such as "supporting" anyone. In fact, I gave up choosing the lesser of two evils (so I thought) years ago.
Now I have someone I not only *want* to vote for, but someone I contribute money too and support and talk about with other people.
Go Ron Paul!!!!
It is atrocity that Ron Paul has raised on this day, after calling Dr. King "a world-class adulterer" who "seduced underage girls and boys". Or stating that the LA Riots ended only "when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks three days after rioting began"
Anyone that thinks Ron Paul is a good guy worthy of your money and support ought to read through his writings before supporting such a cretin.
That is a very powerful video!
Ron Paul is the messenger today but the message itself is old. Peace, Prosperity, and Freedom is the message.
It's not a bad message. As Paul says - "Freedom is popular". Let's not take it for granted.
Thank you for a fair story on Dr. Paul. I support Ron Paul because he has shown in his ten terms as a congressman a committment to peace and civil liberties.
Thank you for your article!
I have donated more than once to Ron Paul and I have never donated to a campaine before,
I belive he is the only candidate that represents real change and has a Rock solid Background on his beliefs and has never flip floped over the years he is the real Deal
" A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have" Thomas Jefferson Ron Paul is a shining mirror of that philosophy.
For some God given reason, I have supported Ron Paul for months. He is a genuine man of integrity and he walks the walk! He states all that I believe in and Dr. Paul is a man worthy to be President of the United States. I have never donated to any campaign before, but I have for Congressman Paul. He does not scare me like every other candidate does with their rhetoric. I believe his words are true and they are facts and knowledge. Thank God for a great man like Ron Paul. Let's keep the ball rolling and he is my man. The media and others can ignore him, but they are putting him out front by their own maliciousness. Ron Paul will restore the Constitution and bring our troops home, among many other issues that will restore our freedom. God bless Ron Paul
JV for Nevadans
Let freedom ring!
We voted with our wallets. And we'll vote for him even if we have to write him in.
Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record:
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.

things like this make me put a bit more trust into the goodness of people
Thank you for this good article!
Americans apparently are too set in their ways to take the time to discover there is a man who can and would lead us to a better place.
But alas, there are too many who think like sheep and will do what everyone else does: Voting, not based on who will implement needed change, but on popularity, looks, religion and other reasons have brought us to where we are.
If anyone wants to stop the insanity, vote for Ron Paul

When I look at the field of Republican candidates, I barely recognize my party. When I heard Ron Paul speak, I knew who I had to vote for. Win or lose, Ron Paul has my vote.
Thank you for this good article!

Ron Paul has the right idea...if we don't elect this honest man say goodbye to America
Thank you for the kind comments regarding Dr. Paul's long time support of individual rights.
The media continues to serve their master's wish in suppressing Ron's message, because when you look into Ron Paul's hard money policy vs. the Fed's fiat paper nightmare we've all been sold you realize that when our money was based on gold, bankers couldn't create bubbles and crashes, wiping us out with their control of digital dollars and "credit".
That's why our founders wrote into the constitution that money could ONLY be represented in Gold and Silver and why since 1913 when the Fed took charge to "stabilize" the economy, our dollar value has plunged to 4 cents.
Thank you, for your very fair article. Dr. Paul is a very intelligent and humble man who is trying to bring people together and rescue the Constitution for us and our children. Dr. Paul supporters come from all walks of life, age, race etc., we have studied his positions and record, they are consistent. Peace.
Ron Paul rules! There is clearly a reason for why the media at large tries to minimize Dr. Paul's candidcy. Thanks for bringing this article into the light Boston Globe. Ron Paul is the most viable candidate of them all and one of the most viable ones in a long long time! For America, for Ron Paul!
I live in australia and dearly hope ron paul wins. I've never been so enthused about american politics as i am now with ron paul. I hope he becomes next president. When Ron paul wins the presidency the terrorists will hang their heads in shame and their sheep suicide bombers will want to come over here to live and prosper, not blow themselves up.
America will have secure borders when Ron Paul brings the troops home and this will help prevent nuclear dirty bombs or whatever being smuggled over the mexican border. I urge people voting for democrats as a protest vote to take another look and vote Ron Paul for a safer america and world.
as further comparison and contrast to the stand that dr. paul takes on his deep-held belief that we are, and should be, a nation of individuals, not groups as others would like to corral us into, congressman ron paul put his own money up as a challenge for other politicians to follow suit in honoring the likes of dr. mlk and rosa parks... yet there were no takers.
our politicians who pay lip service to the u.s. constitution will take the public's tax money as a show of support for heroes of civil conscience; but it is only a show, as their own money and benevolence is tucked firmly in their pockets.
Thank you Boston Globe for writing this article.
"A nation that once prided itself on a sense of rugged individualism has become uncomfortably obsessed with racial group identities.
The collectivist mindset is at the heart of racism.
Government as an institution is particularly ill-suited to combat bigotry. Bigotry at its essence is a problem of the heart, and we cannot change people's hearts by passing more laws and regulations.
It is the federal government that most divides us by race, class, religion, and gender. Through its taxes, restrictive regulations, corporate subsidies, racial set-asides, and welfare programs, government plays far too large a role in determining who succeeds and who fails. Government "benevolence" crowds out genuine goodwill by institutionalizing group thinking, thus making each group suspicious that others are receiving more of the government loot. This leads to resentment and hostility among us.
Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans strictly as members of groups rather than as individuals. Racists believe that all individuals who share superficial physical characteristics are alike: as collectivists, racists think only in terms of groups. By encouraging Americans to adopt a group mentality, the advocates of so-called "diversity" actually perpetuate racism.
The true antidote to racism is liberty. Liberty means having a limited, constitutional government devoted to the protection of individual rights rather than group claims. Liberty means free-market capitalism, which rewards individual achievement and competence - not skin color, gender, or ethnicity.
In a free society, every citizen gains a sense of himself as an individual, rather than developing a group or victim mentality. This leads to a sense of individual responsibility and personal pride, making skin color irrelevant. Racism will endure until we stop thinking in terms of groups and begin thinking in terms of individual liberty." -- Ron Paul

I've been so confused for so many years listening to the bantering back and forth. In the past 2 or 3 years, I've began to draw a picture of what America should be in my mind's eye. I'm not for war, but I'm not for weakness either. I'm not for welfare and free tickets, but I am for a fair playing field, for whites, blacks, hispanics or any other minority in this Greatest of all Nations. Never has there been a time in America where everyone could be free and equal more than now. Ron Paul's Message of Personal Responsibility on a personal level, and more profoundly on a national and international level is the right and pure message, that will Return the United States to forefront of world change instead of the insidious Neo-Empire we've become.
Ron Paul's Economic Position will be vindicated in 2008.
Suffer the masses for their ignorance.
I am voting for the only candidate that has expressed understanding of monetary policy. I vote for Ron Paul.
Dr King would be proud of Ron Paul.
Ron Paul is the real deal period. Nobody deserves to be our next president more than he does.
Thank you, Foon Rhee. This is a very fair article. Maybe freedom will win. It has appeal everywhere. Welcome to our socialist Finland sometime.
I donated $200.00 to Ron Paul yesterday. I am new to politics; never voted, donated, nor volunteered before. But THIS man, Dr. Ron Paul, is like the John Kennedy of MY generation. He knows what's going on, he knows how to solve it. He is much-loved among the normal, middle- and working-class folk. Yet the Media wants to suppress his message. http://tinyurl.com/kky7h
Or go to jfklibrary.org and search for the speech from 4-27-61 and listen to JFK speak.
The Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land, and if ever a change must be made, there must be an Amendment. NOT an "Executive Order" as Bush has done, and as Hillary, Obama, McCain, Huckabee & Romney will do. Congress exists for a reason, there shall be checks and balances. Sound familiar?
I wish the television would give honest coverage like this to Dr. Paul.
All I can say is that I am proud of all of you that have the smarts and guts to do the right thing and support the RIGHT GUY, DR. RON PAUL! And for stepping up to donate when it is time to do so! Keep it up!
Thank you for not writing another article declaring Ron Paul supporters "crazy" or "kooks",,we are neither of these,we are in fact,, you, your neighbor, your friend,we are common Americans with the same hope for our country.
We are not what the media portrays us to be,we are not radicals or terrorist or anti-American,quite the contrary,we are "true Americans" with the will to go the distance to have real change in America,,A change our children will read about in history books,,,We are the futures history,,,We would like to decide what history has say about us.
Great article. Ron Paul is gaining momentum!
If you want your future articles to be seen by even more Ron Paul supporters and others following the Ron Paul revolution you yourself can easily post a link to your articles at www.WhatTheySayAboutRonPaul.com.
How about adding that TODAY JAN 22, RON PAUL WON 22 delegated in Louisiana and when the primary comes around will probably pick up the remaining 22 delegates for a total of 44 - HE HAS IN ESSENCE swept Louisiana of all its 44 delegates...
Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it! All this is going on with NO MEDIA EXPOSURE because COPORATE OWNED FASCIST MEDIA want you to only see the negative side of Ron Paul...
And while our economy CRASHES - Ron Paul's message resonates louder and louder along with freedom of liberties of all.... abolish the Patriot Act (which is in direct violation of the Bill of Rights) - do away with FEMA AND DEPT OF HOMELAND INSECURITY... etc... downsize this monster of a government and restore our cilvil liberties - GO RON GO - LOUISIANA 100% FOR RON PAUL IN DELEGATES.... STICK THAT IN YOUR PIPE FOX AND MSNBC and smoke it...
Indeed, Ron Paul is the likely choice for "Critical Thinkers" everywhere. His well thought out, logical & reasonable solutions to our country's greatest and most pressing issues are a breath of fresh air. I was moved to make my first political donation ever on Monday, as part of the MLK "MoneyBomb".
Vote for the most honest politician in our lifetime - Ron Paul!
I'm from Canada and have been observing the US elections. At first I thought that Barrack Obama would be the best president for the US, but after following the republican debates, there is no doubt that Mr. Ron Paul has the most sound message. The US (and the world) would be much better off with Ron Paul.
Ron Paul is the only candidate is stands for true liberty.
Biased media hit piece, to turn voters away from Dr. Ron Paul's message;
While his Republican rivals issued statements praising the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., Ron Paul and his supporters took the holiday for the slain civil rights leader to bring in more than $1.85 million in campaign cash.
Reworded correctly, with facts corrected, spun the sentence a little differently;
While his Republican rivals issued statements praising the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., Ron Paul and his supporters took the holiday celebrating the birth of the civil rights leader to bring in more than $1.85 million to continue spreading their message. A message of freedom and liberty.
Take a look at Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Vietnam speech and you will know where Ron Paul gets his inspiration!!! Ron Paul has voiced what has been known for a long time.

The truth always wins in the end. Ron Paul personifies more truth than we have ever seen in a candidate - or maybe only since Jefferson. Let's keep supporting him in every way we can. We have no other choice, unless you want to be enslaved in a new world order. That is, if you live through it.
Ron Paul issued praise for Dr. King on that day also. I saw it in person at a rally in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ron Paul thinks of King as a hero for freedom and peace, and shares those ideals unequivocally. Paul and King were alike in their quest to break from the grip of oppression and warfare.
After spending a night reading up on him and watching the youtube videos, Ron Paul made a lot of damn sense in what he was saying and his "crazy ideas" are nothing more than what's in our constitution now and nothing less. Im 27 years old and I've never been excited like this over a presidential candidate. I hear many of the other candidates banking on the word "change", It's possible, we could have our first woman president or first African-American president, that would be a big change, albeit a superficial one I really hope too many people do not get hung up on. If you look beyond appearances, and into ideas and character just as Dr. King suggests, you won't see Ron Paul as another republican from Texas, but as a black sheep among the political elite because he speaks the truth and doesn't want to take power, but rather give it back to us. please go see for yourself give him a chance.
Thank you Boston Globe for at least acknowledging that Dr. Paul is still in this presidential race. Many of the other papers and MSM completely ignore him or insult him. The grassroots campaign for Dr. Paul has established a MA state headquarters in Worcester and is gathering support from the local communities. With the focus of this election now turning to the economy, Dr. Paul stands alone as the most educated and respected economist of the GOP candidates. Many will say that Mitt Romney is also highly qualified to discuss the economy because of his successful business experience, but for those of us who survived his administration, we know that the MA employment rate did not mirror the rise of employment felt nationwide and the loss of several small to medium businesses hurt the MA economy during his tenure. Dr. Paul has been endorsed by Luskin of CNBC and continues to receive donations as the other candidates are running on fumes or going into debt, not a good indicator for fiscal leadership. Dr. Paul has correctly associated our current economic decline with the cost of the war, weakened dollar and economic burden of illegal immigration.
The momentum is growing. Ron Paul is who our country needs in times like this. Thank You, Boston Globe for addressing his continuing success on the road to be president. Ron Paul CAN WIN. I ask everyone to take a look at what he stands for and try to walk away saying this is not for the better of our country! He is consistent and stands up for every individual! Thank you Ron Paul.
only ron paul and his ideas will actually end racism here in America. I fully believe it
Nice job Boston Globe! You are really showing the NYT how a real news organization covers a real election. Another point you might consider, having watched the video, is how closely MLK's comments on the Vietnam war compare to the present situation today. MLK's strong antiwar stance has been glossed over entirely.
I also donated to the MLK money bomb for Ron Paul. This is my 4th donation to the campaign.
Thank you Boston Globe for covering this fund-raiser. I gave on Monday and you can see that many people gave to support this fine man's quest to bring sanity to our monetary and foreign policies - to protect freedom and life.
RON Paul you rock i wish everyone could see the dream to free our country. from the evil goverment from those that are trying to kill 80% of americans to make this aone world goverment. they want nothing but more power. the ones that greated the war the one that bomb the trad center innewyork. for those that read thes email i dare you to search the in for prison planettv.com you might be suprise what you will find. go ahead do i dare you o yes one more thing look up inforwars.com and newstarget.com go ahead do you search

Thanks for publishing this Boston Globe! I am a long time Globe reader (born and raised in Boston, BLS '97), and a big fan of Ron Paul.
Almost all the great and incredible things that are happening in the Ron Paul campaign are organized independently of the campaign by individuals such as my self that believe in Dr. Paul's message of peace, prosperity, and freedom. What other candidate has individuals taking it upon themselves to market for them? None! For the sake of our country and our freedom please visit www.RonPaul2008.com and support the only candidate that makes any sense, Dr. Ron Paul.
Thank you.
Same Here.
I had never, ever, donated to a politcal campaign before donating to Dr. Paul's on 5 Nov. I'm moved by a man who stirs my patriotism. A long, lost part of my past. He's given me hope!!!
" World for Ron Paul"
Thank's Boston Globe and Dave in Australia.
I like the endorsements Ron Paul has been receiving. Ron Paul's support is growing!
As a Ron Paul supporter who was born and raised in Boston I read the Boston Globe most of my life, and though I now live in Florida I chose this link because I had a feeling I could still trust these guys. Still one of the best newspapers in the US!
hmmm, I wanted to reply to the lady who said that Ron Paul's Presidency will feature the handoff of control to the terrorists...but it seems the moderator has deleted her foolish pro-Hillary&Bill post!!
Boston Globe, rock on
Ohio for Dr. Paul 2008
I am from Canada, and I have never followed American politics so closely. I have watched these past years as the Bush administration has undermined the credibility of the Western world: following "the ends justifies the means" philosophy. I think the American, and Canadian, political systems are being supplanted by minorities, special interests and business lobby groups, I strongly support Dr. Paul's position on a small more transparent, accounable government. Dr. Paul's message has given me a lot of hope.
Austin NAACP President Nelson Linder, who has known Ron Paul for 20 years, unequivocally dismissed charges that the Congressman was a racist in light of recent smear attempts, and said the reason for him being attacked was that he was a threat to the establishment.
Asked directly if Ron Paul was a racist, Linder responded "No I don't," adding that he had heard Ron Paul speak out about police repression of black communities and mandatory minimum sentences on many occasions.
"I've read Ron Paul's whole philosophy, I also understand what he's saying from a political standpoint and why people are attacking him," said Linder.
"If you scare the folks that have the money, they're going to attack you and they're going to take it out of context," he added.
"What he's saying is really really threatening the powers that be and that's what they fear," concluded the NAACP President.

Finally so traction in the MSM. Thanks for reporting on one of the most important candidates in modern history. We are in such a mess from the Bush(s), and Clinton(s) over the last nearly 16 years. We finally have a guy who is not afraid to speak the truth and makes sense too! How refreshing. I think Ron Paul can pull the people together and teach us all again how to be free and what it really means. In doing so, he will mobilize the country and restore our reputation around the earth. No small feat. He will shift the capital building from the bankers to the people. All things heading in the correct direct. The other candidates can't touch his powerful message.... why be happy with a tax cut when 0 fed taxes are possible? Go Ron Go.... Money talks donate next time around.
The more I hear of Ron Paul, the more I'm impressed. The only problem is I don't think we hear enough of Dr.Paul. Thank you Boston Globe .

RON PAUL IS MY HERO THANKS
We finally have a true American patriot running. I am amazed at the enthusiasm by fellow Americans at just this concept alone. We have been highjacked by treasonous people who follow this "world order" or internationalist idealogy, or whaterever you want to call it, and in the process are dismantling our country.
Where do these people loose their patriotism ? I don't quite get it. Go Ron Paul. My wife and I are in our 50's, have voted for the lesser of the two evils for too long now and are as excited as the rest of you. Let's stay the course. we may not get this chance again !
Andrew,
"Anyone that thinks Ron Paul is a good guy worthy of your money and support ought to read through his writings before supporting such a cretin."
I'd suggest you take your own advice and look up what was happening then. do you honestly believe we haven't all checked into that? He didn't write that. If you actually looked up HIS writings, you would know that he is no racist, in fact he, as most libertarians, is the anti-racist. Quit being a sheep, go look.
Jason -
Let's throw some facts out there.
1. Those comments were made in a newletter than carried his name. When comments are written in the first-person in a newsletter that bears that person's name and there is no by-line stating someone else's name, it IS fair to say those ARE that person's words or at the very least intended to represent the man's views.
2. This was not a single article or two. This was a common theme that went on for YEARS!
3. Those newsletters were pulling in hundreds of thousands of dollars per year for him, his former congressional chief of staff, and his family. (In 1993, there was a reported annual income of $940,000).
4. Ron Paul has never named who wrote those articles. I have read that Lew Rockwell, Paul's former chief of staff, has been named as the chief ghostwriter by Reason magazine.
I agree that many of his presented ideals are quite compelling, but it is impossible to deny that for years hate speech was being published in his name while Paul and those around him were profiting handsomely.
You can bet that if there was an Andrew Report out there, I'd know ever word that was written in it.
If you wish to believe that, at best, Paul neither wrote those articles nor was remotely aware of their content, how are you supposed to reconcile the fact that he was unaware of such speech for years while dollars were pouring in. If you try to say he's not a racist, then what does that say? That he's incompetent and oblivious to what was being under his nose, in his name, for the benefit of his family, friends, and himself? If he can't control a report written in his name, for his benefit, how do you expect him to run the entire country?
I'm a big Ron Paul supporter (even donated) but it doesnt look like he has a shot. Almost every poll (except for those biased selections on his website) has him somewhere near last place. I dont get it either. He's the only person who has the vision to turn us around but people are strange. They'd prefer flip-flopper Romney? Are you kidding. McCain? whaaaaaa?
I think they have said it all and every utterance was a breath of fresh air. There truly is someone who will spend every effort making the United States a better place to live and his name is Dr. Ron Paul. Become a delegate for Dr. Paul!!!!!

I agree with Ron Paul and his message. I don't understand why people don't give him good polls. It seems that Ron Paul should be president because he would get our troops back home from every country. Do people like our costly empire that does not ensure we can pay the dependents on Social Security? The other people running only want to keep the status quo of big government. They do not want to eliminate the root of the problem. They only think of how should government fix problems. Who invented fire? Who invented electicity? Individuals did, not government. We need to bring back creativity to fix our current problems. This will benefit everybody. Support Ron Paul!
Finally, a newspaper willing to report the news as it happens! Unlike CNN, Fox, and many, many others. WHAT'S GOING ON IN YOUR COUNTRY??? I have been following Lou Dobbs for years and agree with mostly everything he says. I thought he was a REAL American who stood up for the PEOPLE and the middle class. In the last few months I have been waiting for Lou to start openly supporting Ron Paul. This seemed a natural thing for him to do since Mr. Paul provides all the solutions Lou Dobbs keeps demanding from current leaders. YET I HAVE NOT HEARD A SINGLE TIME WHERE LOU DOBBS HAS EITHER MENTIONED OR WRITTEN RON PAUL'S NAME! ! ! This is not a conspiracy, folks. THIS IS A FACT!
One thing has become very clear to me and many others around the world. THE AMERICAN MEDIA NO LONGER REPRESENTS THE WILL OR THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE - IT REPRESENTS THE WILL OF ITS OWNERS! YOUR MEDIA IS CHOOSING YOUR PRESIDENT FOR YOU. THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE SEEMS NO LONGER TO MATTER IN AMERICA.
Also, Keith Olbernann is no better - he is doing exactly the same thing. He rails about how much Bush is a liar and the real terrorist and how wrong the war in Iraq is but again, he never mentions Ron Paul's name. And don't get me started on Fox news - what a joke! I was so disgusted with Fox's deliberate manipulation of the election coverage and watched in horror how they ACTIVELY & SYSTEMICALLY prevented Ron Paul's message to be fairly and professionally conveyed to the public. Even though I am Canadian and can not vote in the American elections, it doesn't stop me from taking appropriate action against these deceptive spin masters. I canceled my cable and am now spending the majority of my time actively campaigning for Ron Paul! In other words, I joined the Ron Paul Revolution!
Real journalism is DEAD in America. You have a bunch of clowns and parasites presenting news like it's entertainment. Why are Americans putting up with this??? You should be massively marching and demonstrating in front of these news head offices demanding these hacks be fired and replaced with competent objective reporters who will actually report the news without their personal slant or twisted agenda.
This is an issue that concerns EVERY American because it is an issue that threatens the FREEDOM of EVERY AMERICAN. If Americans are not fully and fairly informed, how can the will of the people ever be properly represented? It can't!
Wake up and put your petty differences aside! If you don't support Ron Paul, who cares! As Dr. Paul has said on many occasions, it's the message that counts! Every time an American is denied by the media the opportunity to hear his message, it is a threat to the freedom of ever American.
I have Ron Paul'ya'll" 2008 on the back window of my car.
If you believe Dr. Paul's message please put a Ron Paul sign on your car. YOu can get free bumper stickers from your locan meet up group. They are everywhere!
Thanks
