Romney uses Chuck Norris to give Huckabee a kick
Mitt Romney's campaign gives Chuck Norris, Mike Huckabee's most famous supporter, the same treatment as the candidate in a new web-only ad.
Though it's in the same format as Romney's ads contrasting his stands and record on crime and immigration with Huckabee, it includes humor, or at least attempts at humor.
The spot starts with photos of Norris, the action movie actor, and Huckabee as the announcer says, "Two good men. Both into fitness. Both love Chuck Norris." The fitness reference is a sly aside to Huckabee slimming down dramatically and now training for the Boston Marathon.
But then the ad says Norris and Huckabee differ on crime. While Norris opposes any pardons and "subdues criminal with just an icy stare," Huckabee issued more than 1,000 pardons and commutations as Arkansas governor.
"Now who deserves a round house kick," the announcer ends as a cartoon-like "POW!" appears over Huckabee's face.

Ron Paul is funnier.
www.ronpaul2008.com
I like Ron Paul just about as much as I loathe the Huckabee's campaign. He's a good man, but he does not belong in the White House.
I heard Norris Bashed Romney in a web blog or somethin... Why is so hard to find that? lol
Now Romney is attacking Chuck? This guy is pittiful !! He's such a loser.
I think it's reaching pretty low when you use an opponent's supporter in an ad against him. Romney has reached a new low, but I'm sure he'll even beat this in a while. The man has no class.
I'm going to vote for Huckabee. Hope that makes Mitt happy about this ad.
Bravo Mitt!!! Romney for President 2008.
The lowest of the low was wehn Huckaboo wen tin front of the press and said I decided I don't want to run the negative ad I created but here it is so you can see ti and then show it to everyone else.
What a douchebag.
Go Romney!
i think the kick to huckabee's face could only help, his wife need's one too. do we really want to look at these people for the next 4 years?
Those folks who believe that Huckabee's pulling the negative ads was some sort of scheme need to take a look at yourselves. If you are that cynical about something as simple as this to understand YOU are the ones who have a problem. I feel sorry for you!!! My vote goes to Huckabee. This man is a corss between Lincoln and Reagan. Haven't had anyone to be so excited about in a long time. Huckabee booers, take a look at YOURSELVES.....

Romney is solid, not fluff that will blow away in the wind. His character shouts for recognition. His abilities are many and exciting.
Sad and sadder. Mitt Romney is the weakest link,... goodbye!
Wake up everyone! This ad is a fake. It has not been approved by Mitt Romney and should not be interpreted to be from his campaign.
Romney and Huckabee are no substance. A vote for them is a vote for business as usual. Ron Paul is the only one in the crowd who stands out as being for limited government, stopping the fraudalent Federal Reserve (Do your research, PEOPLE), getting rid of the UNCONSTITUTIONAL and socialistic income tax, etc.
I really wish people would look at Huckabee's years as governor very carefully (taxhikemike.org might be a good start).
I'm a Christian and I won't vote for Huckabee because he appears to be a pawn of the globalists (see my blog: BruceDCollins. blogspot. com).
God save the Republic and may we return to the CONSTITUTION. Only one politician still respects it!
We need a change desparately.

Wake up everyone! This ad is a fake. There is no approval from Mitt Romney and there is no way that the Romney Campaign would produce let alone distribute such garbage.
Romney is a "douche bag", guys. He is all over the board on the big issues... If he gets to the general election, he is toast against any of the Dems. The Dems can use the "flip-flopper" play right out of Karl Rove's "How to beat John Kerry" playbook. And Romney is so transparent... Ordering a crackdown on illegal aliens just two weeks before leaving office so that he can claim to be "tough of illegal immigration." He may look presidential, but under the slick exterior is a typical dishonest politician coldly calculating his positions using the windsock of public opinion.

Romney trying to buy the election again...pathetic.
I am sick of hearing Mike Huckabee take heat over pulling his negative ad from television. Mike Huckabee did the honorable thing, which is well more than I can say for Mitt Romney given his attacks on Mike Huckabee and John McCain as of late.
Personally, had I been Mike Huckabee, I would have run the ad-- it was nothing but the truth. Romney raised "fees" (aka taxes) in Massachusetts by $700M during his term. Despite the increased revenue collection, Romney left the state facing a massive budget deficit because of his failure to cut spending. It is also a fact that Mitt Romney did not execute even a single murderer during his term. And it is also a fact that the health care plan Romney signed included an abortion service for a $50 co-pay. These facts regarding Mitt Romney are undeniable and the voters need to reject his attacks.
It’s hard to believe anybody would make a choice of which candidate to vote for based on a inside campaign humor piece. This parody is clearly a play on both Huckabee’s “Norris” commercials and Ed Rollin’s comment that he would like to kick Romney’s teeth in. You may not see the humor in it, and it may have been a poor choice to include it on his web site but it is harmless. Many people are really reaching to find excuses to criticize Romney because they need to fool themselves into believing that they don’t like Romney for some reason other than that they are bigots.
The difference between this and Ed Rollins comments is that Ed really does have violent feelings toward Romney because Romney dared to accurately expose Huckabee’s liberal record whereas the Romney staffers are just finding humor in combining references to Ed Rollin’s violent comments and Huckabee’s use of Monte Python like cartoons in a political ad that would be more appropriate in a high school campaign ad than a US presidential campaign ad. If Rollins was a high school student and had said at school what he was heard saying yesterday, he would be expelled. Yet the Huckabee zealots look past Ed’s comments and call this parody piece distasteful.
It might be a better use of your energy to actually search out the facts about the candidates records and positions rather than relying on the misinformation that so many seem to be relying on.
Linda Rayborn is a a naive twit, if you ask me (post #8). How can a person be so, well, not very astute?

So lets' see. Monday Romney blasts Huckabee in press releases and on the stump for "not being serious" then releases this poor attempt at a joke two days later. Can the guy go even 1 week without flip-flopping/contradicting himself on something??
Mitt Romney is light years ahead of Huckabee in experience, intelligence, and ability to lead this country!

What happened, Thaddeus? Did Romney pee in your Cheerios or something? In your bizarro world, i guess it is a flip-flop to make a joke about what an idiot the Huckster is. Strange, strange.
Maybe you are just covering for bigotry....

Hi RonS,
It's time for a little clearing up on the issues so you don't spread any more false information:
1. Mitt never allowed anyone in the state of Mass. to be executed because it's actually been against the state law there for years!!!
2. Mitt never put his seal of approval on that cartoon ad, so it's probably a joke ad by a Mitt supporter.
3. Mitt has never attacked Huckabee's character. He has only compared records and stances on issues with him. Huckabee has responded with attacks on Mitt's religion, called Mitt a liar, and "accidentally" released an attack ad on Romney that is full of lies and spin. ( "I have no idea how that ad got onto YouTube!") Oh and by the way, as he was telling the media about how he wasn't going to run a negative campaign, the room was full of anti-Romney posters.
This man is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
It is so sad and unfortunate that so many people in this country might be misled by Mitt Romney's phony act. He was our Governor in Massachusetts and what a debacle he created. He is all over the map and will say anything to win the presidency. He is pathetic.
I agree, Colleen. I'd much rather have a lying, cheating, stealing guy who pretends he's Christian. That's why we should all vote for the Huckster. At least he lies for money and power, not for, uh, well, whatever.

FLORIDA LOVES MITT ROMNEY!!!!
I think the Huckster heard footsteps, so he fled Iowa. If I were you, I wouldn't run around town calling people dishonest.
Your out for political gain Huckabee, and your pension depends on it. Iowans make that connection, and they're not stupd - don't try and manipulate the folks. Uh, Uh, Uh. . .:)
Hey LamarS, (Ant-Romney Guy)
Your writing checks you can't cash. Romney was an elected Governor of Massachussets, director of World Winter Olympics, Founder of The largest Business Consulting firm in America, Son of one of the most famous Governors of Michigan.
Looks like you''re the dusche Bag! = LamarS
You'll be eat'n those words tomorrow night! ha ha
Isn't it funny how Romney can't stand on his merit alone... he has to attack Huckabee and now is doing the same thing to McCain in New Hampshire. It is desperate and pathetic!!! He can't stand on his own merit because he knows he says one thing and does the opposite. Check his record - you will see! Mike Huckabee is totally different. What he says is what he does. He is for Faith, Family, and Freedom!!!! Check out mikehuckabee.com to learn more. HUCKABEE 08!!!
Mitt, your desperation is showing.
Mitt, your desperation is showing.
lol...that was freaking awesome, everyone lighten up, politics shmolitics.... the people who dis romney on here just dont like him cause he is mormon, the people who praise romney on here are eaither mormon or they are just....i dunno, dont really care though....EVERYONE TAKE A CHILL PILL AND LEAVE ALL THE CANDIDATES ALONE!
By the way, who is the real Christian in this duel? Mitt said he's a Christian but Mike should have said out straight that Mitt is not when he brought the Christ and Satan brotherhood question. Mike is a Christian alright but Mitt should have said he's not because Mike was the one that was lying, dishonest and should be called "Mike the I don't know.'
And to the Christians, if God created us and everything else, who created Satan?
Take away religion for a while and vote for a man of moral values and character. And that man is Mitt Romney.
mitt for president and chuck for vice president, then we would have everything
covered! this from a man who LANDED AT MARCH AIR FORCE BASE IN 1960
after returning from over seas! then norris landed a few years after me
I'm not a fan of this add, but I do support Mitt. Comparing his record with the other candidates is what convinced me. The man is brilliant- he accomplished so much in Business, with the Olympics, and as the Massachusetts Governor. I believe he is a good man that will use the skills he has to better our nation. I trust Mitt Romney, and that is why I am voting for him.

Mark West, Yes, Romney did a great job with the Olympics. Yes, he was a good Governor for Massachusetts. And, yes, I attacked him personally and that was wrong.
Don’t misunderstand me. I am not advocating for Huckabee, McCain or Rudy at this point and I am not a religious bigot as some may assert. I am an American and I am a fiscal conservative. I believe that our nation should be led by someone with a proven track record of national service, the highest sense of personal integrity and a track record of consistent support for conservative principles (including fiscally responsible tax reform, a balanced budget, strong national defense and entitlement reform). When I measure Mitt Romney by these standards, I come up short.
Mitt Romney avoided Vietnam choosing instead to be a missionary in France. When he returned, he attended college and began slogging it out in the corporate world. And, to be fair, Mitt Romney accomplished some remarkable things in the corporate world, including rising to be the CEO of Bain Capital, a firm that earned the majority of its money setting up leveraged buyouts. Mitt Romney went on to run the Olympics and serve as Governor, but the vast majority of Mitt Romney’s life has been spent managing for profit and serving himself, not his country.
The fact that Romney has taken differing views on so many issues is also troubling. Mitt Romney was elected Governor by espousing some fairly liberal stances on some of the major issues and now he is being forced to backtrack on some of those statements. That is just a fact. All of those “I support / oppose abortion”, “I don’t line up with / am a lifetime member of the NRA”, “I don’t want to return to Reagan-Bush / President Bush is a great man” moments are going to bite all Republicans squarely in the seat of the pants if we make him our nominee. These are not consistent statements and positions and, frankly, cause me to question Romney’s integrity and his viability in a national election.

* Romney can't seem to figure out what the truth is, and stick to that. The fact checkers are all having great fun with Romney! (Ditto with Mormonism.)
* Huckabee used his power as Gov. of AR to make a family problem go away, and inappropriately accepted gifts (bribes?). He's not what he appears, and he doesn't appear to be much.
* McCain is TOO straight up, which is why America doesn't like him. You may not like the answer, but at least there are no surprises. Too bad he backtracked on the Bush tax cuts.
* Barack O. has WHAT accomplishments, exactly? He and Romney would make a great used car dealership.
* Hillary is more of the same, and it ain't good, sister. Even Oprah knows that. Wait ... am I FOR that or AGAINST that? What are the polling numbers? Oh, I'm FOR that. No, wait... AGAINST!

EGAD!...The comments of this series is as vicious as 1890, when Adams and Hamilton were winging memos to an imperfect system called the Confederation of states. Mean greed, and despicable press lavished the public with the usual propaganda well noted today.
The -45- comments above display a lack of historical background because they went to schools of poverty. Education in this country is without dispute, the political dilemma we face today. Our tax-paid system has produced stupid kids, our colleges graduate stupid adults because they sold their soles to a union for the god-almighty dollar!
I accuse congress and the unions for the destruction of our educational system. Not a teacher today could pass a 5th grade N.Y. state, problems of democracy course, or for that matter Penna, Virginia and the like.
Let's all go back to the basics! I am at the lofty age of -76- years , enjoying the review of where we came from. Reading again instead of the boob tube.
READ about out founders and identify the nasty attitudes of today as they were yesterday, a mere -200 years ago. READ again not the propaganda of today's newspapers, read what history has to tell you...then know what a pathetic selection of leadership we have to choose from...and then ask yourself the question, how did we get here ...then ask your mom or pop...you are probably the same political mentality....never open to reality...
I'm in NH and I plan on helping to put an end to the campaigns of Huckabee and Mccain next week. Two jerkoffs pretending to be presidential material.
Mitt Romney is going to win NH. Without a doubt.
There is no such thing as 'too straight up'. John McCain's party has issues with him because the man, McCain, is a better man than most of them - a better man than most men period. If I were not a Democrat, I'd vote for McCain because what we need badly is a man of honor in the White House. It broke my heart when he rejected John Kerry's invitation to run with him - what a noble effort that was! - two honorable veterans against this current administration of criminals. Of the two, Kerry and McCain, even I, a Democrat to the last drop of blood, can say clearly that John McCain was the better man - IS the better man - if it must be a Republican, let it be John McCain for president!
I love how everyone is spamming who they support instead of discussing the Issue in a civil manner. Hurrrrrrr
Wow, how did y'all like that Iowa Caucus!? HUCKABEE '08!!!!!
I'll tell you what is scary, another President that would put the free world under the leadership of two different families for over two decades or other leaders with no experience in "managing" this countries affairs. Mitt is the only candidate with real world experience in turning high-cost, low-profit companies or organizations into successful enterprises. Look at what he did with the Olympics, deeply in dept, ridden with scandal turning it into one of the most successful (financially as well as culturally) games to date. He has never attacked anyone personally, like he has been so many times, but rather helping voters know and understand that the Presidency isn't about a popularity contest and been very open and upfront comparing records. He will be a President for and of the people of this country just as he was a governor for and of the people of Mass.
Chuck wrote a GREAT article today that roundhouses Romney back for how he distorted Chuck's words in this video. It's funny too! http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=59560
Doesn't Chuck Norris have anything better to do than to be in the spot light all of the time. Looking for another White House invite? - with the Holier than thou wife ??
Why don't you just pay attention to your so-called Kickstart and stop trying to always be in the limelight-now with the wife.
Have ou had any more romps in the back seat of a car?
