Hillary Clinton is already crowing about winning Massachusetts, as two TV networks are projecting.
"One of the biggest surprises of the night is Massachusetts," her campaign said in a statement. "Despite the fact that Senators Ted Kennedy and John Kerry were actively supporting and campaigning for Obama, Hillary Clinton won the state. Despite the fact that the Governor of Massachusetts endorsed Obama, Hillary Clinton won the state. Despite the fact that Obama visited Massachusetts just last night, Hillary Clinton won the state. This is a strong victory and shows that Hillary Clinton has strength in places where Barack Obama was expected to win."

This sucks
Who gives a rat's ass what MA thinks - you're a bunch of gay loving communists who keep electing a murderer and a gigilo to the Senate. You are teh countrty's laughing stock.
Yee-HAW!!!!!
What's the difference between Hillary and Bush?
If she is nominated, I am not going to vote. And if she wins - prepare for 4 or 8 more years of the old party Apparatchiks rule...
Disgusted...
Obama 2008!!! The fight continues!
Could someone tell me at what point "Barack Obama was expected to win" Massachusetts? More Hillary sleazy spin. I'm moving to Delaware, they know how to get a surprise right!
Only the out of town, out of touch politicians didn't have a clue!!Aginst all odds ,GO GIRL,You are the most qualified...
Yay, more of the same divisiveness with Hillary and Bill. Why be courageous? Vote for the name brand! This the people of this state, by voting for Clinton and Mitt "No Show" Romney have shown that they are not nearly as smart or insightful as they think they are. Very, very frustrated right now.
What in the world is wrong with people in Massachusetts? I expected the brain-dead drones here in NY to vote Clinton, but thought our neighbors to the East had more sense. Maybe the Pats loss threw you all off...
I'm still trying to figure out why some people (mostly Obama supporters) seem to think the differences between Hillary and Obama are that huge. I was an Edwards supporter and when Edwards dropped out I had to figure out which of the two top candidates to vote for and it was tough! Look, folks, either Obama or Clinton would be a huge change from what we've had for eight awful years. The differences between Hillary and Obama mostly have to do with style, personality, and different kinds of experience. I tried really hard to find differences on issues. There were some, but mostly they were close or the same. I voted for Hillary but will not be disappointed whoever is the nominee because they are both good candidates.
The people spoke - HILLARY HAS MORE SUPPORTERS THAN OBAMA in Massachusetts!
Get ready to welcome the FIRST FEMALE U.S. PRESIDENT!
If you REALLY want more of the same then vote "Republican". Crying and whining won't help beat the Repubs! If you want Obama to take a year and a half to learn about presidential politics then vote for him. Kind of like Deval ? If you want to see results..vote for Hillary. Otherwise crawl under your rock and don't vote at all.
Go Hillary!
Obama supporters please get a grip - your candidate is great and if he wins we Hillary supporters will cross over. The important thing is to get a Democrat in the White House! If you adopt this "our way or the highway" junk, the Repubs will waltz right in again. It's nice to be optimistic but there is a middle ground between drinking the kool-aid and outright refusing to participate. Obama is not going to save the world any more than Hillary is. Hopefully one or the other of them will make things a whole lot better however.

Policies are the same between Obama and Clinton.... in the end it just boils down to charisma, qualifications, and who has the the better propoganda
The people of Mass. know that Clinton can win in the general election. Obama cannot win in November. The Republicans will make mince meat out of him. They will create some lie just like they did against Kerry (Swift Boat).
We someone who can win and that person is Hillary. Beside my stock portfolio did pretty well when Clinton was President so any repeat would be good for me.

GO HILLARY. STICK IT TO THE KENNEDYS. I expected them to be neutral. but they didnt. I will never vote for any kennedy or kerry. If i have to vote republican i will do it..
It is time for a SMART,COMPASSIONATE, INTELLIGENT, CARING woman PRESIDENT. GO HILLARY

Haha... Obama can't win. Obama will take 1.5 years to learn on the job. Pretty funny comments, yet pretty pathetic at the same time. Presidents have advisors for critical issues, and both Obama and Clinton have plenty of schooling on how to make good decisions. Clinton has taken aid from big companies... Obama has not. He owes nothing to anyone. (Ok , maybe a little bit to Ted Kennedy). Is Hillary Clinton really going to help with Foreign Policy? Please...
It's beyond me how people think Clinton is any different than these other sleazy politicians... well besides that fac that she wears a dress. Are people blind? I mean really... who do you think will be advising Clinton throughout her term? Bill. Sorry, they had their chance, both of them... she can't get things done as a Senator and certainly won't as a president.
Here's the thing for those who just want a Democrat in the office no matter what: If you make Hillary the nom, you more or less guarantee that McCain is going to be in the White House. Now as a left leaning independent I don't agree with all of his stances but if Rush Limbaugh and the right wing talk radio nation hate him, McCain must be doing something right. He will get the independent votes necessary to win the general election, not one of the more polarizing couples in the past couple of years. Even if Billary find a way to win in November, there is no way in hell they get a bipartisan effort from congress and therefore you get the same thing we've had for 16 years and on, and on...Would Obama be real change? I don't know but I KNOW Clintons wouldn't Why can't people see that?
I think Kennedy clan and Kerry has some kind of personal issue with Clintons. It was obvious from the way the clan came out and endorsed Obama. I could not imagine a great leader like Kennedy standing behind Obama , while the he rambles in the podium.
Obama seems to be a big talker. He does not any signficant experience. He says he is for change/ What Change? If he is selected for VP position, I will not vote for Hillary. I have not seen any significant plan from him on economy, jobs, defense etc.
Why are there so many Hillary haters? I voted Hillary, but if Obama wins the nomination I will support him without question. All you rabid Obama supporters would rather let the republicans win in November than see Hillary in the white house? What's wrong with you?
This is the United States, families should NOT be allowed to have another family member run for president for a certain period of time! Think about it people, Hillary may be good, but Obama is certainly my pick, do we really want potentially 24 to 28 years of the same two families running the country?
Bush Sr - 4 years
Bill Clinton - 8 years
The dumb son Bush - 8 years
and potentially Hillary Clinton - 4 or 8 years??
This place is sounding ALOT like England, where there is a royal family! There should be NO royal families here! Next thing you know, Jeb Bush (currently governor of Florida) will be running for Prez. and we'll have more of the same family controlling the country!
GO OBAMA!!! Unfortunately you lost Massachusetts, but you can DO IT!! Go Go Go Obama!
I too liked Edwards and when he dropped out, I had to choose between Hillary and Obama. You know what, I got irked by Oprah. Honestly. It's one thing if she wants to tell the country what book they should be reading but not who to vote for. Add to that John Kerry, Ted Kennedy and the govenor of my state and it was annoying. So I voted for Hillary. I voted for her for Senate when I lived in New York and I'm glad to vote for her again.
In the end, it's a question of temperament. Do I trust George Bush with power? No. I just see the same thing that I see in Bush in Hillary--the lusting, grasping, unitary-executive theorizing, executive-ordering, powermad, prideful, vengeful, secretive, torturing, warmongering cynical ideologue as we have today--just dressed in blue and with a different set of goals, but, at the heart, the same set of means as Mr. Bush for achieving that very different set of goals.
If the last 8 years have taught us anything, it's that it isn't only your ideas that count, but how you go about achieving them, whether they square with our fundamental American values--the rules of civilization, of international law, of natural and human rights, and above all, the Constitution. Do I support Hillary's goals? Yes. Do I believe that she will achieve them without the massive, flagrant abuse of power? No. If Hillary wins the nomination, then I cast a blank ballot come November.
I can't listen to Obama anymore. Stop with this empty feel-good nonsense. Not a coincidence at all that he has Oprah ("I'm going to buy people's love") running around for him -- or that he admires Reagan's communication skills. Um... didn't Reagan's promise of "A Morning in America" result in nothing more than pain for so much of the country - the working class, union members, AIDS patients, educators, etc? It's very dangerous to be so easily swayed by happy talk.
Plus, despite his (and the biased media's) spin, Obama is NOT a change candidate - he represents the establishment like everyone else in this race - a product of Columbia, Harvard, and U-Chicago. Please. At least Hillary has the dignity to talk to Americans about real policy issues and acknowledge that this is a tough time which will require tough work. I can't decide who annoys me more: Obama or his fanatic, irrational followers.
Chillary could never be reigned in under Bill Clinton and now she is just an ear shot of the whit house ....she is clearly emotional during speeches ...
if she gets the nod ..im voting for McCain and I'm multi racial ..and I will push
hard for my extened family to do the same ... WHAT CAN BE WORST THAN the BUSHes >>>MORE CLINTON's...
If only Obama would learn to cry more in public and when the camera's are running........
Goodness - such venom for Hillary Clinton! She certainly does have her haters. If all you folk who are ready to jump down to Delaware or off to Brazil if Hillary wins are still here after 7 years of Baby Boy Bush - I can't believe you. You're just talk. Not that I know Barak Obama, but there is something to his not having a lot of experience, and also being very good at giving speeches, but not thinking on his feet. See his performance during debates. Our next president will have loads of crap to clean up after the past 2 terms of Bush II, and frankly, I trust Hillary Clinton more to roll up her sleeves and get that job done. Barak Obama wants too much to get along, and for people to like him. Reminds me of Bill Clinton when he first ran. Now, if she chooses Barak Obama as her VP, he gets 8 years experience, and then goes on to run again, I think I'd happily vote for him. I gave Hillary my vote today as I believe she'll do a better job fixing the mess we're in now, and she also has more experience on the World Stage. We'll need a deft and clever envoy around the world to repair what Shrub has done. There is A LOT of work to do.
Way to go Massachusetts! I am so tired of Obama's arrogance and lack of any real plan for America's problems - the "feel good" nonsense is a smokescreen for his lack of ideas.
I agree with John G 7th comment
although Obama shares the same ideas my vote goes to Hillary.
for those who think name tag is the reason it's not true. We are looking for economy change, stocks back on their feet and Clinton will know what to do.
I am disappointed in my native state. As a white woman of Hillary Clinton's vintage, the product of a Massachusetts women's college and the holder of a professional degree, you'd think I'd be gratified. But in my view, character trumps gender.
Clinton and Obama are both in line with my position on the issues. One has experience; one has charisma. Given the crises we are facing in this nation, I based my choice on the one I feel is best equipped to handle the enormous demands of the job. The suggestion by some ardent supporters of either candidate that they would vote for a Republican in the general election should their candidate not win the democratic nomination speaks to the very thing that got this country into the mess we are in: voters not paying attention to the candidates' positions on the issues. As one voter interviewed in the New Hampshire primary put it, "I'm supporting Obama, but if he doesn't win, I'll support Romney in November." Let's keep our eyes on the ball, people. The stakes are too high.
I am assuming that Foon Rhee, who posted this dispatch is an Obama supporter. To characterize Clinton as "crowing" about her Massachusetts victory is a typical dig at the victor. Had Obama won, and his campaign released the same statement, it would have been characterized in neutral or celebratory terms. Reportage on Clinton is consistently infused with just this sort of sly (if none too subtle) negativity.
Over the course of the campaign so far, it's already reached ridiculous proportions. Obama, " the lightning catcher," soars, alighting "on a crest above the vast expanse of the national electorate." Clinton, cringing in the slime below, is "strange, shrunken," she " wriggles," "whines," and occasionally lets out that ungodly "cackle." (All quotes are from actual major mainstream newspaper articles and op-eds.)
The bitterness of these insinuations have the cumulative effect of undermining not only the integrity of reportage on the campaign, but the positive message of the Obama campaign.
Clinton won fair and square, and by a wide margin in Massachusetts. A lot of people like her. A lot of people apparently don't believe she's the "cackling," "crowing" creature Foon Rhee & Co. portray her as. That's some cause for hope, I'd say.
"If you want Obama to take a year and a half to learn about presidential politics then vote for him" THATS HILARYious!!!
The main thing Hilary has more experience in than either Obama or McCain , is being involved in controversy and scandal. Lets see Whitewater, Travelgate, Cattle Futures, Madison Guarantee S&L scandal, the list goes on and on and on and on.
STOP AMERICA"S OBSESSION WITH OLIGARCHY!
VOTE FOR OBAMA!!!
An Independent’s Perspective - The only way I would vote for McCain is if my only other choice was Clinton.
Hopefully now the news media, Ted Kennedy and Hollywood's elite will see that us voters can think for ourselves.Way to go Mass.,she's got my vote too!
