Clinton gets backing in Ohio, Texas

Hillary Clinton picked up endorsements today in two states that vote March 4 and that might hold her presidential hopes in her hands.

Former US Senator John Glenn, the former astronaut, endorsed her in Ohio.

"With all of the challenges facing Ohio and America, we need a leader who can deliver real solutions on her first day in office," Glenn said in a statement released by Clinton's campaign.

"Hillary Clinton will immediately go to work turning around our economy and rebuilding the middle class. She has the strength and experience to take on the Republicans in November and win Ohio and the White House."

And former Congressman Charlie Stenholm announced his support in Texas.

"Hillary has the type of pragmatic leadership we need to get our country back on track," Stenholm said in a statement provided by the Clinton campaign. "Hillary's always been a 'doer,' and she has the experience we need to lead our country on Day One."

The primaries in Ohio and Texas, with 334 delegates combined at stake, are the next big prizes for Democrats. By the time they roll around, Clinton could easily be facing a 10-contest losing streak.

  1. It is sad that this race may very likely be decided by the "Super delegates". The younger generation that is getting out to vote for Obama may not be very understanding if he loses the nomination as a result of this. Democrats need to re-think this system.

  1. yes, yes, yes, thank you your man so much for endorsing Hillary. She is our best choice for president. Hilliary knows what she will be doing and knows what to do when she gets in that oval office. Obama,is a Junior Senator, and he needs to get more experience, but not The President Of The United States for now!
