Obama campaign doubts Clinton can catch up
A day after sweeping the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. primaries by huge margins, Barack Obama's campaign today contends that it is now "highly unlikely" Hillary Clinton will be able to climb back into contention.
Obama's campaign manager, David Plouffe, told reporters on a conference call this morning that according to their count, Obama now leads Clinton by 136 pledged delegates. Because Democrats split primary and caucus votes proportionally, Clinton would have to win the remaining contests in "blowout form" to pull even with Obama, Plouffe argued.
That includes the big showdowns on March 4 in Texas and Ohio, where Plouffe said Clinton would have to win by well over 20 points to significantly close the gap.
"We see absolutely no evidence in any of the contests remaining that that would be the case," he said. "The math is the math."
Following Obama's string of victories since the weekend, Plouffe said, "We believe that we couldn't be in a stronger position."
The wild cards, of course, are the superdelegates and which way they will break. Clinton still has more superdelegates than Obama does, but Obama's campaign believes that the superdelegates will ultimately anoint as the nominee the candidate who wins the most pledged delegates from the states.
"We have believed all along that the pledged delegate leader will be the nominee of the party," Plouffe said.

It is a given that this super delegate CORONATION will exist without Barack Obama running up consistent 75% to 25% wins over Hillary Clinton for all remaining state races; possible but not likely...
Here's a couple of suggestions for next time:
1. Limit the Super Delegate number to 200; maybe just Senators and Governors. 20% of the delegate count is way to much.
2. ONLY allow the Super Delegates (200-ish) to vote 10 days after the last state primary if and only if a clear candidate is not chosen by then. I would also suggest that the votes be published and transparent.
These two suggestions would then only allow the Super Delegates to be tie breakers only and not susceptible to political shenanigans!
Never count your chickens befor they hatch. why didn't obama get kennedy, kerry and the gov to tirn their super votes to hillary.
Go Obama!
Some of you have been asking "What has Obama done?" but the truth is you need to be asking what hasn’t he done? The very question proves to the ones in the know that you haven’t done your homework & are clueless so ill make It simple for you by giving you the facts and then showing you all where to go to check them out.
Simply put The answer is: Obama has been doing His Job Introducing bills, voting wisely & endorsing what works or makes sense which is all he needs to do because at the end of the day that’s all that politicians do. They vote to pass bills and occasionally introduce them. Obama has spent over 11 years doing this (8 in the Illinois Senate & 3 in the US Senate). In contrast Hillary has spent only 1 term (6 yrs) in the US Senate. The 8 as the first lady which she keeps trying to shove in her resume honestly do not count since the role of first lady is to run around greeting people, naming things, acknowledging accomplishments and occasionally starting a program or two such as her failed healthcare reform. Although meaningful to some these are not critical tasks since god forbid a president ever be single (sarcasm).
Getting back on the topic “So what exactly has Obama done?” to answer that question lets first look at what Hillary has done in the past 6 years in office in which she’s passed into law 20 pieces of legislation.
Here they are
1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site.
2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month.
3. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Hon
4. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall.
5. Name courthouse after James L. Watson.
6. Name post office after Jonn A. O’Shea.
7. Designate Aug. 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
8. Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
9. Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death.
10. Congratulate the Syracuse Univ. Orange Men’s Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
11. Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men’s Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
12. Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program.
13. Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda.
14. Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express condolences on her death.
15. Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty.
Only five of Clinton’s bills are more substantive:
16. Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11.
17. Pay for city projects in response to 9/11
18. Assist landmine victims in other countries.
19. Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care.
20. Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as protected in the wilderness preservation system.
Is it just me or does it seem like she’s gotten too comfortable with her roll as first lady?
Now, I would post those of Obama’s, but the list is too substantive, so I’ll mainly categorize.
During the first eight years on the Illinois senate he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced:
233 regarding healthcare reform,
125 on poverty and public assistance,
112 crime fighting bills,
97 economic bills,
60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills,
21 ethics reform bills,
15 gun control,
6 veteran’s affairs and many others.
& during His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These inculded:
**the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 (became law),
**The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, (became law),
**The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate,
**The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, (became law),
**The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, (In committee), and many more
Going off the facts Hillary seems to be playing house while Obama is not playing at all. He’s the real Deal. But then you would have to be if you were a black man taking a serious run at the white house.
Don’t believe me? Look it up yourself. These bills and the records of all the candidates can be found on the website of the Library of Congress www.thomas.loc.gov
The truth is out there, some of you just need to look it up.
Beware of pride; it has been the undoing of many a great person.
A word to the wise....
Some blogs were asking me how Hillary can best devise a comeback.
If she hasn't the wit to resourcefully strategize it herself, she shouldn't
presume to strut out to say she should be our leader. One who can lead is already doing it.
There's no doubt the senator from Illinois has captured the hearts and minds of thinking Americans.
Thanks to Reagan, the Bush's I and II, and Clinton, America's prospects have greatly dimmed.
Let's hope President Barack Obama will deliver the reforms he has promised: A rapid end to the war in Iraq, and a full progressive agenda, which is, in a nutshell, a complete restructuring of our social, economic and political infrastructure.

The State of Massachusetts made a BIG mistake to endorse Hillary Clinton! Anyway, losers always follow losers. You just can't help it.

What is currently happening in the democratic party presidential nomination elections is undoubtedly going to make the whole world see America in a totally different light. What it tells me particularly, is that, contrary to my previously held beliefs about the reported social injustices of old, especially as regards race relations which we have been made to believe still exist in America, America’s democracy has indeed come of age. Regardless of what really happens at the end of it all, Senator Obama’s country wide appeal is a milestone in itself that should largely be credited to the younger generation that I see slowly causing the older generation to have the confidence to shift their mind sets of old for the benefit of true progress and universal peace. Let not The Obama Campaign Team fall to the temptation of gravitating towards segmenting American society for the sake of votes into green, purple, Left-wing , Right- wing,Men,Women, Youths, The aged, democrat or republican electorates. Let it represent the future of an America that every citizen will be proud of regardless of their disposition. The world will now know that America truly presents all fair-minded hard working and peace loving individuals on the Planet an equal opportunity for success in their endeavours. Indeed a real beacon of hope to the world. Yes, there are still some people in certain sections of American society who, of course within their rights, hold strong racist sentiments but these have and will be over powered by the divine good will, respect and justice for all, encoded in the human genome everywhere.
“ There is NO force on earth that is more powerful than an Event whose time has come.” It even makes the force of a trillion mega-tonne bombs seem like firecrackers!” – We are watching you America with deep felt adoration!!
To be president is no longer about having been a member of some university fraternity or secret organisation. You just have to prove yourself ready to muster the mettle, rise to the challenge regardless of the obvious odds that may be stuck against you and perpetuate the greatness and legacy that is not of your own creation as an individual citizen but one handed over to you by your nation’s founding fathers. This is a true depiction of the American character worthy of envy. Its time the greatest nation in the world won back its lost glory; let countries of the world look back at the USA as a just and fair and strong power without necessarily waging irresponsible expansionist wars. This I say with the full knowledge of the existence of the over-head dangling proverbial ‘Sword Of Damocles’ as personified by socially divisive entities such as the ‘Cu Clux Cans’,The ‘Cranial & Osteo-Blocks’ or certain lobby groups that have been spawning a foreign policy that blindly supports occupationist forces blocking the way to true lasting peace, co-existence and mutual respect between factions who are otherwise brothers. These organisations are lurking in the shadows and scheming to influence the outcome these elections thus hatch out injustice-the cycle will continue.
N.B. Kindly remind America of the sanctity of the institution of marriage and that a married Man and Woman, Woman and Woman, Man and Man are actually ONE and the same person in word and in deed. Therefore if one family has ruled before, then in all logic should give room to a new family to rule for the sake and benefit of the National progress and not retardation. Unless of course there was some extra ordinary achievements they made which need to be desperately replicated!
