Obama sets another 1 million goal
Barack Obama, who could be on the verge of clinching the Democratic nomination, has added another 1 million goal now that he has reached the remarkable milestone of 1 million people donating to his campaign.
In a message posted on Obama's website, the campaign said it now wants to hit 1 million calls to voters before Tuesday's primaries in Ohio and Texas, which could be Hillary Clinton's last stand. The campaign was at about 410,000 as of today, according to Obama's website.
That growing army of donors has pushed him ahead of rival Clinton in the fund-raising battle. He brought in $32 million to Clinton's $13.5 million in January, and there is buzz that he will hit a jaw-dropping $50 million for February.

Imagine what this means for the campaign and America.
1. With a million contributors, the Obama campaign can be financed well through the nomination. He can continue to campaign nationwide.
2. Senator Obama no longer has to hold fund raising events. I recall working on a statewide campaign where my candidate spent nearly 50% of his time raising money. On the other hand, the opponent was entirely self-funded. When he needed money; he wrote a check. Senator Obama's contributors can fund his campaign without fundraising events and he can devote 100% of his time to campaigning.
3. Should he become President, when Barack Obama considers an issue, his mind will not be clouded by a handful of people who raised millions of dollars for his campaign. Rather he can be a President that says "nobody's President but yours."
