Romney says he's staying in race

Posted by Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor February 5, 2008 10:35 PM

Mitt Romney, with only wins in Massachusetts and Utah under his belt so far, vowed tonight to stay in the Republican presidential race for the long term.

"One thing that's clear is that this campaign is going on," he told supporters at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center who chanted "Mitt, Mitt, Mitt. "I think there's some people who thought it was all going to be done tonight, but it's not all done tonight. We're going to keep on battling, we're going to go all the way to the convention, we're going to win this thing and go to the White House."

He said he would be staying up late to watch the returns come in from California, the biggest prize with 170 delegates.

  1. Give it up Mitt. You were done before you started. Less Flip Flopping would have been in your favor. So what do you stand for Mr. Romney? Anything?
