Hillary Clinton really wants delegates from Michigan to count in the Democratic race.
How much? She's taking a valuable day on the campaign trail to go to Michigan on Wednesday for a Detroit event to press for a revote.
Her campaign tonight announced the stop as a do-over on June 3 is looking less likely. Michigan legislators are debating the issue, but agreement does not appear close.
Clinton needs the delegates from Michigan and Florida, whose primaries she won in January, to have any hope of getting close to Barack Obama in the pledged delegate count.
The Democratic National Committee barred the two states' delegates because their primaries were held earlier than party rules allowed.

In a federal election time, NOone should be allowed to keep the peoples' vote from being counted. We are American citizens and by constitution have a right to our vote. The Democratic party goofed, but the citizens did NOT!!! I am losing faith in our government more and more and was in hopes this election could help turn that around, but when there is doubt that we will even have a say, I am very discouraged, as a Senior who has lived and voted in this country and state since I was old enough to do so.
The government IS the people. The representatives of Michigan and Florida were expressing the people's will when they moved the dates of their primaries, and now they, the people, should suffer the consequences.
If you don't like it, fire your representatives for doing a poor job at representing your interests. You have a constitutional right to vote in the presidential election, which you will no doubt exercise on November 4, 2008.
