it is just amazing to me how a "so called" radio host can be a drug addict, arrested, maid said that he abuses drugs or as he says, prescribed medicine, has the audacity to critize anyone and still continue to be on the radio. rush is a racist, always has been and always will be. but just like any other white man in america, the term dug user in his world is called prescribed medicine. but i bet if tavis smiley were "abusing prescribed medicine", he would be in jail!!! and the bogus apology about not knowing that curious george was a monkey, how stupid can u be. he not only knew that, he laughed because he knew that. thankfully obama has way more class than rush and didn't even dignify his bogus apology with a response.

A gag? Really? You should have grown up in Rush's hometown of Cape Girardeau, Mo. Rush's father and grandfather were lawyers there during the civil rights era of the '50s and '60s. They were the go-to guys if your business wanted to fight against laws that integrated public accommodations, and wrote scathing letters to the local paper blasting the Brown vs. Board of Education decision that integrated public schools as being communistic. Cape is the northern reaches of the Old South, and Radio Rush grew up in that atmosphere where blacks were confined to certain parts of town, kept in the bakcony of the movie theater, the back of the bus and their own substandard school -- and well out of downtown businesses so they'd be out of sight of the "decent white folk." All Rush's role models were racist, and the nut doesn't fall far from the tree. .

He didn't even run his ditto cam (a camera that allows viewers to watch the show) that day because he was sick with the flu, and was constantly having to stop and cough or sneeze. - He had said to several previous callers "dont make me laugh" because it will "make me cough". - - Whether you love or hate Rush, I think it is very important that you note the context of those particular comments. - - some of have implied he said "dont make me laugh" because he knew it was some sort of racist laugh, and it obviously was not.

This is 2008 and we are still hearing the monkey joke. Get real people we all know that racism is alive and well in America and to think that this is a nation that was built on immigrants, I mean really if it wasn't for immigrants there wouldn't be an america. People need to stop being naive and start being real. It is not going any way and if the media allows it to hit the airwaves than that let's you know what type of country we live in. It's ironic how Americans are quick to judge other nations like trying to make them be more democratic but what we need to be asking where is the democracy here?

Considering how often we saw Bush portrayed as a chimp, I think it's only fair if Obama gets portrayed as a monkey. When I first heard the comparison, I laughed for five or more seconds; far more than Rush laughed.

I don't support most of this rhetoric that is being said. I am a republican and am very disappointed in RL for telling republicans to vote for HRC. Certainly Obama has the delegate lead, but now the popular vote is close, and that is dangerous. I personally am tired of personal attacks between candidates. I don't like McCain, detest Hillary Clinton, and am considering voting for Obama in the general election. Yes he is on the liberal side, but I feel he is at least the most honest person running, unless someone else comes into the mix from a third party,,,,,maybe a young Ross Perot type. I'm not going to listen to RL anymore, I'm pretty mad about RL telling rep's to cross over. I'll take him on his word about the Curious George thing, that's just plain silly. I'm disappointed in Rush, Laura etal in their endorsements of Clinton for Mar. 4th--I understand the motivations but Obama will be easier for McCain to beat in my opinion and, even if not, don't you recollect the Clintons? Hilary was good at Bimbo Eruption Control, nothing else! (She screwed up the socialized medicine progam that she attempted) They belong in the Big House instead of the White House.
