As an American living abroad for 30 yrs now we never needed as much as we do now someone who is so familar with the heads of state worldwide and has a reasonable relationship with all of them. Clinton knows her way around the globe, the Whitehouse and Washington. What better person to get on with the countrys business quickly without teething problems in a world where the international heads of state would welcome her and are at their wits end with Bush. He has done so much damage to our reputation world wide. This would be the best image and destiny for the American people. You have no idea what Bush has done to us from the outside of our country no less what most of us only see here.
Americans need to see outside the box or should I say outside the borders of our country a little. Its not just about them in the US. All politicians play tricks and do this or that. Some get found out and some dont. So what. I would very much like to know what Obama is so concerned about and why 3 individuals went peeking after one told the other what they saw. I also think a man who sounds like a church frenzied radical avangelist should not be what we put in the oval office next. It would only worsen the situation. In all my travels throughout Africa and the Middle East I dont know anyone who has these arabic names without having some past with Islamic religion. I find the support by the American public very odd indeed for him. Perhaps because Hillary is a woman they cant take the step out of the norm. Mrs Thatcher did a great job for many years. A recession is not always the result of a president or prime minister. These adjustments in world wide economies will happen from time to time no matter who is in charge. Privacy is privacy, and even though I have a pretty clean background that wouldn't embarrass me, a lot of info is no one's business even if I were running for political office, and you hit the nail right on the head with some good examples on stuff that intrinsically can't be embarrassing but are still private and potentially damaging if released (i.e., SSN , etc., that can be used for identify theft ... and no, I'm not worrying about someone stealing Obama's identity).
