Obama projected to win Mississippi primary
Barack Obama reasserted his claim tonight as front-runner in the Democratic presidential race by winning the Mississippi primary, according to projections by Fox News, NBC News,
CNN, and the Associated Press.
Obama also easily won the caucuses in Wyoming on Saturday after Hillary Clinton kept her campaign alive last Tuesday with wins in Ohio, Rhode Island, and Texas.
He is likely to win most of the 33 delegates at stake tonight in Mississippi and extend his lead in delegates, which stood at 106 before today. With 2,025 delegates needed to clinch the nomination, Obama had 1,579 to Clinton's 1,473, according to the Associated Press tally, which includes committed superdelegates.
Black voters, who have overwhelmingly supported Obama in earlier primaries, made up about half the electorate in Mississippi, according to exit polling conducted for the TV networks and the AP.
While Obama dismissed talk of a so-called dream ticket, six in 10 Obama supporters said he should pick Clinton as his vice president if he wins the nomination. Four in 10 of Clinton voters said she should put Obama on the ticket. But while one in five Clinton voters said Obama is more likely than Clinton to beat Republican John McCain in November; only about one in 20 Obama voters said Clinton was more likely than their candidate to defeat McCain.
Both candidates are already pointing toward Pennsylvania, the next big test on April 22 with 158 delegates up for grabs. That primary looms as another potential turning point -- just as Ohio and Texas were. Clinton, who is favored, needs to win to keep her campaign's momentum. Obama has another chance to deal a devastating blow because a Clinton loss would increase pressure on her to drop out for the good of the party.

Oboama Is the New President 2009
Guess hill plays her card in PA and that is not the way to vote, Obama is the best choice political wise in this campaign, please PA think clear on this election and remember what the clintons brought to the country not their years ago and I mean many, but later on when their true colors came out they disgraced our country over
and over again,I dont have to tell you all their faults I'm sure your state already knows all that mess. Vote for the good guy Obama 08
Why aren't we still reporting on the Texas Caucuses votes that are still an outstanding issue in Texas? Obama is leading Clinton ~56 percent to ~44 percent respectively. That means there may be a win for him following the caucuses on March 29th. This has sort of slipped the media's attention.
Hillary team is planning for another Kitchen-sink on Obama for Penn. state. After all, Bill is so used to "PLEASURES" of White House.
VOTE 4 Hillory so BILL gets 2 U.
Obama is like the BEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
HE IS THE ONE WHO WILL TAKE THE US TO COMPLETE GLORY
I am encouraged by the toughness of Mr. Obama. Even with the negative remarks that are coming from within his own party, be it Hillary Clinton or Geraldine Ferraro. It was ironic when some one from Mr. Obama's campaign made a remark about Hillary, she demanded the campaign worker be fired (Ms. Powers referred to Hillary as a monster).
Geraldine Ferraro said, "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position..." What Hillary's remark was that she did not agree with Ferraro's comments.
Last month when Adelfa Callejo, a Clinton supporter made remarks about Blacks, she did not reject nor denounce his remarks. But lo and behold, when someone attacks her, she "cries". Hillary demanded that Mr. Obama denounce Minister Farrakhan, who she says is anti-Sematic. The scripture that Mr. Farrakhan made about the Jewish people came from the same Holy Bible that Hillary professes to read, in the Book of Revelation. Geraldine's comments come from a cold, hardened heart of "envy, jealousy and strife."
Mr. Obama: Would you want to "run" with a prson whose experience is this:
35 years experience
Wife of a guy who used his influence as Governor of Ar. to use the state patol to deliver his prey for sexual favors.
wife of a guy who was indulging in sex while conducting Govt. business
Wife of a guy who is an admitted liar.
Wife of a guy who sat in impechment hearings for the highest office in the land.
wife of a guy Who was involved with the drug traffic at Mensa.
a person who stole and trashed the White House when leaving
I don't think Soooo.
i hope americans are staying "intune"with what's really going on here. obama is a wolf in sheeps clothing, and clinton is the answer to all our problems. mccain is going to put us further in dept, force a draft, and war will go on for ever...this is going to be the biggest decision american's have ever had to face, and i can see that the americans that are not paying attention are going to sink us all!
Obama is the next Bobby Kennedy except I hope his is not assassinated as the other good Kennedys have been. He is charismatic and can lead by persuasion not coercion.
