Obama snags more superdelegates
The trickle of Democratic superdelegates declaring for Barack Obama is turning into more of a gusher, fast closing Hillary Clinton's one lead in the nomination race and ratcheting up pressure on her to defend her candidacy.
Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota is announcing her support this morning. The Wall Street Journal reported today that all seven Democratic US House members from North Carolina plan to come out for Obama in one fell swoop before that state's May 6 primary.
"The Democratic Party is blessed this year with two candidates with many excellent leadership qualities, and I believe each of them would be a strong president. I am endorsing Barack Obama today, because he has inspired an enthusiasm and idealism that we have not seen in this country in a long time," Klobuchar said in a statement issued by the Obama campaign.
"I am endorsing Barack because he is a new kind of leader -- speaking with a different voice, bringing a new perspective and inspiring a real excitement from the American people. He is able to dissolve the hard cynical edge that has dominated our politics under the Bush Administration. I believe Barack can unify the American people to address the many challenges facing our nation.”
She is the 64th superdelegate to endorse Obama since Super Tuesday on Feb. 5.
Obama, boasting a more than 6-1 edge in superdelegate endorsements since Super Tuesday, is quickly catching up to Clinton in that count. He already leads in overall delegates and popular vote heading into the next contest, the April 22 primary in Pennsylvania. The 795 superdelegates -- elected officials, party leaders, and others -- are likely to decide the nominee because neither Clinton nor Obama appear likely to reach the clinching number just from those delegates awarded by primaries and caucuses.
Clinton, who along with Obama is campaigning today in Pennsylvania, stressed several times over the weekend that she has no plans to drop out and may indeed take the fight all the way to the national convention in late August.

As long as a Republican does not get elected, I don't really care! Obama or Hillary are BOTH better and more qualified to be Prez then McSame!
this was going to happen..i think edwards and gore need to get on board..instead of waiting to try to broker a deal for themselves..or to be of importance..it will happen without them..
Snags?????
The title needs a change!!! Snag is a "obstacle" or a problem. And I check Merriam Websters and did nto find any other shades in its meaning.
Thank you.
It's important for her to learn how to lose. That appears to be something she has not allowed herself to understand in a gracious manner. We do not need another arrogant bully in the White House.
God Bless America. And God Bless President McCain.
I see that Bill Clinton is urging superdelegates not to decide "prematurely." This is rich coming from the team that locked in as many superdelegates as possible before primary season even started, before a single regular vote was cast in any state's primary contest, before a lot of people had even heard of Barack Obama.
since billy boy could not change constitution, he brilliantly devised plan to get her elected at any price....N O W says hill is the only qualified enough woman to be president(sister that is sad), i can name 4 or 5 that could win without clinton baggage. actually this may soon be over for clintons, and maybe she and bill should drag it out as i live in NY and there are already rumblings of a run aginst her..although i have not decided 100% for barack, i would vote mccain it she was even on the ticket....
I like Hilary - but I feel that she doesn't have the best interest of the people by dragging out the race for nomination. She's acting like an emotional, self-absorbed "woman" - something this country doesn't need. Why doesn't the Clinton take the noble route and back out of the presidential race so that we can move on with putting this country back in order with Ombana as President! The Clintons had their time in the Whitehouse.... enough is enough!
Sen. Barack Obama appears to be the ointment for the ails of America. His ability to unify and transcend political barriers, along with a common sense down to earth honesty is all inspiring.
I feel as if JFK has been reincarnated and get the goosebumps when he speaks.
In this world today, it is hard to know if what you see is what you get so to speak, I pray he is the real deal because he is the last hope I see for the redemption of America and our collective souls.
Great news. It's time to focus on John McCain and his dim-witted and war-mongering positions on Iraq, Afghanistan and the economy. The solution to war and our bad economy is not more war. Our biggest root problem is not our corporate tax rate, it is that our helthcare costs are double our closest competitors, which makes our country uncompetitive. Our occupation in Iraq is breeding a new generation of terrorists, is racking up a massive debt on our children and is bankrupting our country. Uniting our country around getting out of Iraq to re-focus on Al-Qeada and cutting health care costs in half is the only way we will make ourselves more safe and be able to compete for new jobs and restore our economy.
I hope that Sen. Clinton "mis-spoke" about staying in the race until the national convention.
I hope Clinton hangs in there for as long as possible. I don't say this because I think she has a chance nor because I think she needs to see how far she can go but because I'm a republican and I think her Obama opposition will most effectively nullify the Illinois Senator's chances to move into the Whitehouse. Barack is the biggest threat to a continuing Republican executive presence. I praise Senator Clinton's tenacity and her aid to the GOP.
If Hillary feels she has a chance let her go on. This is the United States!!!!!! Time will take care of things. I have faith in the people. We will be united when we have a choice in Nov. We cannot have a look a like Bush administration. Go Obama or Clinton.
The Democratic parties need to work out a deal with Clinton as Vice President. Clinton needs to conceded and help pull the Democratic party back together. They are wasting to much time, money, and effort fighting with each other. They are splitting the Democrats instead of uniting.
Obama is new and fresh and that is what the US people want. Mccain would have been good 10-15 years ago. But he is old school. I get the feeling Clinton also is old school, but with Obama and Clinton working together they would bring the best of both visions. Which would work well for the people instead of the individual parties.
If Sen. Clinton really intends to take he fight all the way to the national convention in late August, that is reason enough for the superdelegates NOT to support her. For the Democrats to be really competitive with the Republicans, they should be able to get their act together by late June ... at the latest!!!
Hurray for Obama. We need a fresh approach in the White House. As much as I would like a woman on the helm, but Hillary does not fit the bill. With her we just get more of the old regime.
Clinton's early lead in super-delegates was more due to her name recognition and general media and party consensus that she would be the eventual nominee. If Obama's Super Delegate lead matched his earned delegate lead, his overall lead would be significantly higher.
More interesting to me is whether she can *afford* (financially) to continue the race to the convention. Rumors of her campaign stiffing small campaign vendors can't help perceptions that this campaign is really already over and Obama has won.
If it aint broke don't fix it. The system is working just fine. The American political process although contentious at times works fine and is a model for the world. The Superdelegates are doing their job (exercising independence) in endorsing the most electable candidate. That trend is toward Barack Obama, someone who now seems like we have known all our life, who not long ago was more than a little known curiousity. Florida and Michigan challenged the system to their peril by defying DNC Rules and have yet been able to fashion a remedy for their misguided actions. The system is working just fine. One man one vote.
Good thing. I hope the Democrats are being true to their words and get this thing over soon now. The numbers don't look so good really:
http://tpzoo.wordpress.com/2008/03/29/go-on-digging/
We Europeans would really hate to see four more years of the same old same old.
It's not just unlikely, it's mathematically impossible for either candidate to reach the clinching number. If Clinton wins 100% of the remaining pledged delegates, she totals out at 1821. If Obama wins 100% of the remaining pledged delegates, he totals out at 1979. (according to Slate's delegate calculator)
I find it quite amusing that Clinton is bemoaning "people's vote not being heard", when she is simultaneously encouraging unelected party officials & "add-on" delegates to overturn that very same "people's vote".
Only 36% (285) of the unpledged delegates are elected office holders. Given the ratio of elected office holders to unelected party officials, it would be a nigh on fascist process if the public vote comes in and the party officials respond "well, isn't that cute", while nominating the other candidate.
Wow, give it to him, he hasn't showed one bit of leadership, he has lied at every turn, he has used the race card, more than Johnny Cochran, he used his whining as a way to make people leave him alone, I can't believe what I am seeing here, but of course all of these people are the same ones that won't stand up to George Bush, so the one thing they can do is give this election to JOHN McCain, because these democrats never figure out who is giving them a line, and who can do the job. John Edwards was the one, everyone of these same people put him out, now look what they have left us with, but the biggest mistake is to go for Obama, by the time they realize they made a mistake, we will have another 4 years of Bush.
Please don't step down Hillary! This country is right now being kept afloat by deficit spending and you are helping the economy by the deficit spending your campaign is doing. All those debts you have outstanding really are giving a boost to the local economy. Stay in the race, PLEASE!
Hillary should just drop out....she has no hope of getting the nomination...she is worse than Huckabee...at least Huckabee wasn't damaging Mccain like Hillary is hurting Obama.
It's like Chinese water torture for "BILLARY" Clinton!
http://OsiSpeaks.com
If the superdelegates really want to bring this to closure prior to August, why don't they just throw in behind Obama now ... get it over with so the Dems have as much time as possible to work out a winning National strategy?
SO THE BEST REASON OF ALL THAT HILLARYS SUPPORTERS GET READY TO VOTE FOR MCCAIN, RAM THIS RIGHT UP THE A-- OF EACH OF OBAMAS ENDORSERS SHOW THE BIG WIGS HOW THEY HAVE LOST THE GENERAL ELECTION, WE CAN TAKE 4 YEARS FROM MCCAIN WE WON;T HAVE TO PAY TAXES.AND WE WILL WIN THE IRAQ WAR.
its a shame when a delegate can not read the writing on the wall. For all intent, the Clinton campaign is all about Hillary, not whats best for the country or the party. She has a great deal of respect which is reflected by her strong numbers and support, however, it is not the same as the support and stregnth of Obama. Hillary is acting as a spoiler, a role she is well aware of but refuses to leave. It almost seems as if The Clintons feel they have a legacy to the whitehouse, that the nation and party owes it to them. This is simply not the case. If she were truely interested in whats best for this country, at this time, she would do what I would expect any person with a sense of right, sense of honor would do. She would gracefully bow out, endorsing Obama and giving up her role as spoiler. Since it seems to be all about Hillary though, This won't happen untill the superdelegates come out in force in support of the right person to represent the party. That person is Obama, the message is clear, the stage is set. Lets stop beating around the bushes and get on with what needs be done for this country.
The Clinton's are destroying the DNC and, it would appear that Hillary is just as adept as Geroge W. Bush and Rihcard B. Cheny in misrepresenting facts when addressing the American people in their attempts to garner support.
On the other side of the coin, rabid frothy mouthed right-wing lunatics such as Rush Limpbaugh, have given the Clinton's hope of stealing the democratic nomination by voting in droves in various primaries for Mrs. Clinton thus giving her a false sense of popular support among democrats and independents.
"Heh, heh, heh, heh, heh." - George W. Bush / "SO!" - Richared B. Cheney
Mrs Clinton needs to withdraw herself from the nomination immediately and support Barak just like Mit of GOP
I guess that makes Hillary a spoiler.
What? Sniper fire in Bosnia didn't impress anyone?
Canadians for Barack
I'm a libertarian with fairly conservative fiscal leanings and socially liberal leanings, but I'm voting for Obama if he wins the nomination. I'm much less concerned with my President's policies than I am his/her ability to lead, inspire, and unify. Let the legislature and the courts dictate the law, the President as leader of the free world needs to be a figurehead that represents the spirit of America both here and abroad. We haven't really had that with the past 3 Presidents; Reagan is the last person I can remember having that kind of visceral impact and garnering that level of respect from all sides of issues and from our international neighbors.
What a pity. Not sure why these superdelegates are in such a rush. Obama is a lousy candidate, more evident as time goes on. These superdelegates are making a terrible mistake. For whatever political gains Obama might have promised them, the upshot is that the country will suffer if either he or McCain wins the election.
Like many Liberal White people, Hillary Clinton has basked in her liberal embrace of all things black. Reaching down to pull up the black man to be her equal. But like many things, the joy is in the journey, and not so much the destination. Now that a Black man has finally reached equality with the White woman and has to share the same space, she has become "uncomfortable" , with having to share the space. I think many Americans, both Black and White, understand her squemishness, and the hollow quality of her "Universal Liberalism".
Obama deserves the bolster from the super delegates. I believe that it backfired on her when she stated that he was not experienced enough to lead the country. That turned a lot of people against her including me. I was a die hard Clinton person until then. I felt ,as did Governor Richardson ,that these were not the classy people I thought they were. That approach was "trailor park".There is a unwritten rule here in DC that you never campaign against a member of your own party and make such statements. When she offered him the Vice Presidency on her ticket,it was a message to people of color that"you may walk beside me,in back of me but not in front of me. She is exposed.
It is written in the skies: Barack is a sure winner in the democratic primaries. It is high time, for decency sake, for Hillary to quit. With Barack Obama in the helm, the democratic party should rally together as one. Under Barack's leadership, the Americans will bring down the arrogance of Pres. Bush.
Shame on her" If the shoe was on the other foot. They would be preasureing Obama to step down for the betterment of the Party. We want change in America, not the same old games being played over, and over as we fall deeper into darkness as a country.
Living in North Carolina for the past 15 years, I always new my house "representatives" were suckers for cutting edge trends and weak-minded sheep. Oh well, I voted for some of them, guess it's time to pay the price for my mistakes. Sorry Hillary, I hoped you'd have had your chance to turn things around for our country. Oh joy, another four years of Monday morning quarter back crap. Speeches are nice, but they are not a means to results in of themselves.
Dear Senator Clinton:
There is nothing wrong with staying in the race, as Mike Huckabee did though he had no mathematical chance to win. And there is nothing wrong with staying in the race and talking about real policy issues, issues that are important such as Iraq, health care or economic policy.
There is, however, a real problem with remaining in the race and having you, your husband and/or your campaign surrogates continuously attack the character, credibility, and charisma of the other democratic candidate.
I am not a political insider, not a political pro or pundit. I am just a democrat, a democrat who wants a democrat to win the white house in 2008...why don't you?
As long as there is a door is still open to win the nomination -- however unlikely -- I expect Sen. Clinton to keep trying to push her way through it. Having more superdelegates come off the fence closes these doors more tightly.
As I've said elsewhere (and I know you feverishly troll all the internet's websites looking for my comments): I'm from Iowa and I had to make up my mind and vote in early January. Why can't the superdelegates decide now? What more do they need? Another debate? Another poll? Another policy speech? I appreciate that some superdelegates are from states that haven't voted yet. Fine... they can wait until their state has voted and I'm OK with that. But what about the SDs from the other 45 or so primary places?
How can the superdelegates continue support without the people
voting? I cannot understand what these delegates are thinking. Let the
people VOTE....... I am a Democrat that will not vote for a senator who
sat in a church and listened to someone DOWN OUR GOVERMENT AND
OUR COUNTRY.
The superdelegates need to decide who the candiate will be by June. If Hillary has the stroke then fine. If not we can't afford to accomodate her wishful thinking until the convention. What's at stake is far larger than either of these two.
It is about time the leaders in the party show some leadership. I f it was for some one other than the Clinton's the media and the leaders would have all but called this race.
I am an Obama supporter however I do not want Hillary to drop out. Obama will face all this negative media in the fall. Let us not forget McCain aka Mavrick is the medias little darling. So dealing with a harsh attack now can only enhance his chances.
Finally some are showing the backbone to stand up against the Clinton's who are trying to destroy the party for their own personal ambitions.
If Hillary would like to weaken the Democratic ticket by staying in the contest with the sole purpose of leveraging herself into the VP slot... well that's her right. You go girl ;)
trickle-trickle... steady as it goes, and we'll see this nomination wrapped up way before the convention!
why do you support an ANTI AMERICAN OBAMA who' believes All americans and JEWS should be killed at least clinton You know she is evil just look at the clintons record
Just say no! No to Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton!!! This is not a Monarchy! Time for a name change, if not a policy change! Hillary is NOT Bill, people! Wake up & smell what you are shoveling!
Speaking of Hillary, how is she going to be treated by Muslim leaders of the world. Here is a sample of what she has in store, if she wins it all. [Thsi is an example] King of Saudi Arabia: "Glad to meet you Mrs. President, do you mind covering your face and walking ten feet behind me." Think about it.
Kris -
actually, Webster's says under 'snag:
4: to catch or obtain usually by quick action or good fortune
Hillary is not going to quit. The Democrats will continue to blunder. Expect McCain to get stronger.
I think it's disgraceful that the Democratic party is joining with the Obama camp and his media groupies to force Hillary Clinton out of the race after disenfranchising Michigan and Florida Democrats and before millions of people have had a chance to vote.
I've been a Democrat all of my life, and I've never voted for a Republican presidential candidate. But if Democrats continue their abusive, misogynist treatment of Hillary Clinton, I'll either sit this one out or vote for McCain in November.
Rather than Hillary as VP how about Sec of State? She could drag Billy along and they probably could do some good overseas in that role. For VP I think Obama needs someone who hasn't been practicing the scorched earth policy lately. Hillary may be/was qualified but showing her true colors in the last few months I think disqualifies her for VP.
Hill and Bill need to know we do not need their kind of power in the White House. They will stop at nothing to get what they want and don't kid yourself into thinking they are the saviors of the little guy. It has always been about them; I for one cannot wait for this circus to end. She will continue at all cost even if it means destroying Barrck and handing the presidency to McCain for more insane Bush policies to continue. God help us.
John McCain is a war-monger. His whole life has been war, he was tortured in 'Nam, and he has shown a disturbing preoccupation with war. On other issues of importance -- the housing crisis, say -- he only knows to shrug his shoulders and say "I don't know much about the economy, it'll sort itself out." Meanwhile he looks forward to another 100 years in Iraq, and starting World War III with Iran. He relishes this and it is one of the prime movers behind his campaign. He knows his strength is the perception of him as a "war time president," so war time is exactly what a McCain presidency will bring. Even the GOP is highly skeptical of McCain, fearing that he is getting senile in his old age. The Democratic party must make sure this warmonger does not get any real power.
This is significant- especially coming from a woman senator. It is time for democrats to unite behind the uniter. Hillary Clinton may be better trained to fight evenly against the Republican Karl-Rove Machine, but I believe that the majority of the population do not want just someone to replace George Bush.
They desperately want someone that can build a majority to govern the country. They want the best ideas from Republicans to be put in conjunction with the best ideas form Democrats to rebuild the country's broken economic fabric.
They want someone that appeals to the best intentions of other countries- instead of just bullying them and calling them "axis of evil", "rogue regimes", "radical islamists", ect.
They want to end this costly war in Iraq and start bringing back the troops home.
They want to reduce the racial and gender divides instead of antagonizing one group against the other for political control. They want to believe in a better future for all American kids.
This is not only about power for the sake of power as the Clintons want it. It is about power to energize young people, older people from all sex and races.
They need Barack Obama
Pretty much all the slams on Obama are based on falsehood or opinion.
Wright is a case in point. Peep this in-depth article by the New Yorker
http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2008/04/07/080407fa_fact_sanneh
This fact will probably help Obama a lot in the general elections, because he can bust out the evidence. Doing so now would make Clinton look worse than she makes herself look.
I think Obama is transparent and objective enough to get the US economy back on track, and because he is not lobby dependent he will avoid the pitfalls of past administrations by not having to dilute his policy.
Hopefully this will resulting the US dollar and the stock market reviving, resulting in
a healthier Canadian economy as well. As a Canaidan, I would also like to see NAFTA revisited so there is no more race to the bottom.
I don't want Hillary ...but the comment about the Muslim leaders is too much. No we do not need to cover our faces or walk behind them.... this is exactly why we must fight terroists - they want us to be muslim's or be dead - is that what we want?? Really??
Obama is nothing but an empty suit who is aiming to become the affirmative action candidate for POTUS. He has no record of leadership, no accomplishments as a Senator and has leveraged his biracial nature to get him to where hs is today. His association with racists like the bad Rev Wright reveal him to be weak in character and judgement. Oh, his platform is nothing more than a revision of 60's failed liberalism and that's what he is, A LIBERAL who wants to raise taxes and expand the scope of government.
Hillary is a fake, a phony, a liar and the second half of the quota system running on the basis that she's a woman so people should vote for her.
Oh, and Breck Girl Edwards was nothing more than an ambulance chasing weasel who lives a life of luxury, limits his tax exposure bit rails on about corporate greed and two Americas.
Democrats offered nothing this year and in November it will be proven as such.
Disclaimer: I think Hillary would be a horrible president. She made the wrong call on Iraq, she has no qualms about bending the truth when it suits her, and she ran her own presidential campaign into bankruptcy way back in January, the first month of primary season. Not someone I want as commander-in-chief, not someone I want representing our country, and not someone I want in charge of our nation's economy.
HAVING SAID THAT... In the last few days I have come to hope that she will stay in the race. Hillary Clinton has worked very hard to discredit Senator Obama and to turn her supporters against the Democratic Party. The result is that many of Clinton's supporters are convinced that Barack Obama is the devil and that John McCain would make a much better president. This is why I want her to stay in the race: she needs to hang on until she is fully, 100% discredited. Until it is blatantly obvious that she is acting purely out of personal ambition. Until she becomes such a longshot that even her most tenacious supporters are embarrassed for her. I want her to stay in the race so that she can make increasingly desperate moves: tales of her Bosnian heroism were the start, but there are preliminary signs that she's starting to play the gender card by having her surrogates launch accusations of sexism. She needs to become desperate to the point of foolishness, then she needs to make ridiculous excuses for why she didn't win, and then she needs to concede gracelessly.
In short, she needs to stay in the game until she has completely discredited herself, so that after she is gone her former supporters will question the things she told them: that Barack is worthless, that McCain would be a good president. The Democratic Party can still come together -- it can come together over the smouldering remains of Hillary Clinton's political reputation.
So you go, Hillary. Run like you've never run before. Launch your "kitchen sink" attacks. Convince your donors to threaten Pelosi. Tell your supporters to vote Republican. Regale us with war stories from Bosnia. And whine about how the mean old boys won't let you be president. Don't hold back. Simple failure is not good enough -- you need to go out in a blaze of inglorious silliness, and you seem to be making every effort to do so. More power to you.
Many people can't see the obvious! Hillary is a very smart and trickly lady. She's certainly smart enough to know she can't win the nomination. She's staying in to purposely destroy the Democratic chances in November and hand the election to John McCain.
Then she can say, "you should have voted for me" when Obama loses and run again in 2012. She will almost certainly ge the nomination then. Remember Kerry and Gore? No second chances for nominee losers!
It should be obvious to anyone she is setting up for 2012.
I am not for Hillary, but after the Obama priest thing can not ever vote for him. I simply do not believe that he was unaware of what was happening. I am going to vote for McCain due to the fact that I really do not like either and will vote for the best of three evils. Reading the commentaries, why should Hillary withdraw now. Is Obama leading. Most likely not will get the count of the dedicated delegates even with FL and MI so it will be up to the Super.
I'd say stay in because I am 100% certain that I will not vote for racist Obama but might vote for Hillary. Never voted republican before, but always voted.
Ladies and Gentlemen Barack Obama has won the Democratic nomination period. He has won more pledged delegates, more popular votes and taken twice as many contests as Hillary. YOu cannot move the goal posts any longer just ask Nancy Pelosi or Bobby Bowden. I for one appreciate her helping to temper our candidate with their “Kitchen Sink / Tonya Harding” ways. Barack is now more prepared to face the Republicans and their fear tactics. Karl Rove and his types will attempt to put up a new boogeyman that only Senator McWar can supposedly tackle before us. I am certain the American electorate is not going to be hoodwinked again. We wont allow ourselves to be led down the be afraid, be very afraid road on either foreign affairs or domestic economic policies. He has maintained himself above Billary and their divisiveness win at all costs even if by .5% ways.
I am veteran of the Iraq war having served with honor in the 82nd Airborne Division and am now joined by legions of my comrades in fighting against this war which has taken 4000 plus of my comrades and maimed over 25,000 of us. How much does a trillion and counting of our dollars represent to each and every american family? I challenge each and every reader here to visit the nearest Veterans hospital and see what the true price of this war for no good reason is costing us. No WMDs, No ties to Al Qaeda etc. etc.
Senator Obama is brilliant and will surround himself with sage advice in all the key sectors. I pray that our country is really ready for CHANGE and will turn the page on sixteen(16) years of failed leadership.
VOTE BARACK OBAMA AMERICA!
she'll go all the way to august? jeez, i don't know if i can handle the countless youtube videos from days past that will emerge on both candidates as they continue to sling mud back and forth. i don't really care who, but can't we just all get on one side already?
Hey Kris, maybe you need a new dictionary, b/c this article is very aptly named by Princeton's, and mine too standards:
snag
noun
1. a sharp protuberance
2. a dead tree that is still standing, usually in an undisturbed forest; "a snag can provide food and a habitat for insects and birds"
3. an opening made forcibly as by pulling apart; "there was a rip in his pants"; "she had snags in her stockings" [syn: rip]
4. an unforeseen obstacle [syn: hang-up]
verb
1. catch on a snag; "I snagged my stocking"
2. get by acting quickly and smartly; "snag a bargain"
3. hew jaggedly

OBAMA 2008 is the only answer!
Mark, I have NO idea why you would make your decision on which candidate to support based on a few soundbites on YouTube, but there's certainly no requirement you make sense. You can vote for Nader, your next-door neighbor or your dog for all I care. Go ahead, Base your choice on something Nader's next-door neighbor said to his dog years ago. That's every bit as applicable in your mind, apparently.
Meanwhile, responsible adults will base their decision on what's important and relevant.
Pictures this
November election, McCain coming out in a stretcher as POW, Hillary coming out under sniper fire.oops...someone just lost the Commander in Chief test.......
Yeah, Uncle McCain is the past, Uncle Wright is the future.
Obama does NOT equal JFK. Bite your tongues to those who say such things because they "feel inspired."
Obama NOT = JFK !!!
JFK would be an outcast in today's Democratic Party - we would be considered "too conservative", his stance against Castro would be "too war-like", has social policies would be "too mean".
What happend to my party! The Demcratic Party has left me, I never left it. It is now controlled by a handful of lefty loons. It is NOT JFK's party.
Obama does NOT even come close to JFK !
Follow Senator Liberman's lead and vote for moderation and NOT partisan extreme.
McCain reminds me of President Truman, a Democrat.
Obama is NOT anything like JFK !!!
Hillary has a better chance of getting McCain elected than she does of getting herself nominated. It would be a tragedy of the worst degree if the Democratic Party loses yet another 'no brainer' election due to internal miscalculations.
There is no way that the Bush administration should have been allowed even one attempt...let alone TWO terms to bring this country down so far.
If someone in this country thinks we are in bad shape, they are right! This is not the America we have fought for, died for and deserve. I am proud to be an American but I am shamed, yes shamed, by the direction and actions of our great country at this point in time.
So, Hillary, if you care about the country get behind someone who can help change it. Prove that you believe in democracy and fair elections. Why try to bring Obama down? Why not get behind him?
The Clintons never have been good at putting their party first. Her wanting to fight it out to the end is noble, but potentially very damaging to the party in the end. I think the continued fighting between Hillary and Obama will expose even more weaknesses for McCain to exploit. I hear both of these candidates touting the mantra of change...hopefully the new leader will be riding a donkey into Washington???
I fear for the future of this nation if either Democratic contender is elected. It is apparent that there are many in this country with their hand out expecting the Federal Government to provide everything for them because they do not have the courage or discipline to work toward the ideals and principles this country was founded upon.
I believe we need someone else to step in and stop the bickering. The Democractic party had/has an ideal opportunity to bring to the people all the good they deserve, moving forward on issues rather than "party" or "personality" discussion. The candidates should let the people know we are cared about in all aspects of our daily lives in terms of families, business, finance, health care, education, global warming, etc. Even though I'm a registered Republican, I was looking forward to a better outcome on the Democratic side besides The Bill-ary and Obama. This was and still is a great opportunity for the Democrats to strut their stuff, and they are blowing it.
Mr. Obama would be a threat to my candidate. Mrs. Clinton not so much... she should stay and I hope she wins the nomination :-)
You know that Billary would be screaming for Obama to withdraw immediately if the tables were turned
Well, if Hillary stays in the race, McCain is pretty much a shooin. If somehow she remains on the ticket, voters will be so split the dems will loose yet again. Although I've never voted for a dem as President, Obama looks to be one worthy of a vote. With all the BS reporting, it is hard to sort through fiction/nonfiction on Obama. At least with Hillary, we know she is a liar, as was Bill. I know for a fact that I will never vote for her as president. I can think of several other women more qualified for office than her. Personally, I do not see that she has the strength, character, or emotional stablity to hold such an office. I believe she has already proven this to the people of America.
Hillary's hurting the party... Obama is almost certainly going to win the nomination, and yet she continues to stay in the race, slinging mud, and giving McCain a head start on the Presidential campaign.
To: Dems. Superdelegates
I believe that if you'll vote for Sen. Obama as your Presidential nominee...good
news for the Republicans. According to statistics, this will increase further the
chances of Sen. McCain of winning the general election. Why? These groups;
the American conservatives, the Democrats "swing" voters, the Clinton supporters,
and the Latinos will most likely vote for Senator John McCain as the next US President. The change in momentum was caused by Obama's ex-pastor for 20 years the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's controversial & anti-American statements.
Blaming the US government for the bombing of Hirshima & Nagasaki, giving the
Afro-Americans with drugs & HIV, and the 911 terrorist attack was driven by the
failed US foreign policy. These racially charged sermons can not just be tolerated
by the voters this coming November election. American voters, you have a choice
between God BLESS America and God DAMN America! Superdelegates weigh
carefully and make no mistake who you'll vote as nominee, if you would like to have a Democratic US President next year.
Good for those of you drinking the Obama Kool Aide in NE. No way Dems will carry PA, MI, MN, OH, the South including FL, etc. -- biggest GOP landslide since McGovern. Keep drinking......
Why use the word - "snags" in the headline? Why could you not simply use a word like "gains",or "acquires".
The word "snag" has a somewhat NEGATIVE meaning - check your dictionary. And you make it sound as if it is necessarily a "problem" that Obama GAINED some more SD. It is as if you just could not avoid reporting the GOOD news about Obama, so you use an inappropriate word in the headline in the hope of impressing a negative sentiment in the mind of the reader?
I am at a lost why you chose to use the word "snags" in the headline. The headline should simply be something like - "Obama GAINS more superdelegates".
Thanks!
Hillary stay the course. Why do these self proclaimed Obama desciples think they have the right to tell another candidate to drop out of the race? Sounds like Chicago Politics Again. Should we go get more divorce papers? I don't like Rev Wright's speaches and I don't like the Chicago Slime Machine.
Barack Obama can use any sort of math he wants to.
But there are SEVERAL means of accounting at a presidential convention.
And ONE of them is with the alarmed and offended American People
These hasty superdelegates (who think a former commitment to the Clintons means NOTHING) will have to answer to their angry Clinton Democrat voters in their OWN elections.
And what SPEECH is Obama going to give about the NEW pastor at his Afrocentric church:
"In Easter Sermon new Obama Pastor Charges Rev Wright Victim of Lynching"
http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/03/23/in-eastor-sermon-trinity-united-pastor-compares-rev-wright-to-jesus/comment-page-47/#comments
CHICAGO — The new pastor of Barack Obama’s church delivered a defiant defense of its retiring reverend Sunday, comparing media coverage of Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. to a modern-day lynching that resembles Jesus’ death at the hands of the Romans.
“If I was Ice Cube I’d say it a little differently — ‘You picked the wrong folk to mess with,’” Moss said to an enthusiastic congregation, standing up during much of the
sermon, titled “How to Handle a Public Lynching.”
Barack will NEVER win the nomination. Not when we finally get to...know him.
And, a LIFELONG liberal democrat, I will NEVER vote for him!
I love this. The D"u"mbocrats are falling apart. I don't like McCain, but that is who we are stuck with thanks to liberals, moderates and independants voting in the previous primary elections. I urge everyone to go and register as a D"u"mbocrat and vote for Billary. On November 9th, we can all sigh with relief when the headlines read " President Elect John McCain ready to take office in Jan..."
Right now there is a Jr. Senator in Obama who has no ideas, no policies, and no plans for the future of the country other than socialism and huge Federal Government bailouts. He wants to take from those of us who actually pay taxes and give to those who don't.
I am tired of hearing how I, a middle class person, has to give my money to the Feds and then have it given to someone "in need", who smokes 4 packs a day, is a single parent because of "thier own" wrong choices, has Dish Network, email, computer, and no job because we "care". Bull!!!! I worked hard to get where I am and if someone is living in poverty it is because they CHOOSE to. I came from a very poor family and background, but I CHOSE to have a better life and now that I have achieved some success in my life I have Liberals, Democrats, and Federal Agencies telling me I have to now "share" my wealth and give a handout to these losers who chose to be in poverty.
I have a better idea, if I have $100 confiscated from me through taxes for these people, then I want 8 hours of work from them for me. That is how it is. You work and you get paid plain and simple.
I did it the hard way. I went to college, but quit because I wasn't going to pay for liberal professors to teach me the left leaning views they hold and fail me because I disagree with them. I came back home, got a job and worked my way up, rather than come home and blame all the "rich" people for my situation.
Anyone can do it, I am a great example, and they don't, it is their own fault. It isn't luck, it is hard work and determination. No, it wasn't easy, and it wasn't handed to me, but I still made it.
This is killing me. If we go all the way to August, we have less than 3 mos to focus on beating McCain. Yikes!
In response to Mark, yes, Obama is leading. She has a very slim chance of winning (less than 10%). Not saying she has drop out now since it is a close race... but that is the reality.
Scot B-- you present an interesting point that I have heard and truly hoped could not be true-- if true, very very sad indeed. This by any means necessary strategy is terrible.
Hillary had no problem going along with the DNC and disenfranchising MI and Fla voters until it affected her delegate count. One would think that prior to the primaries, a candidate would not agree ban campaigning in those states and would not repeatedly affirm that their votes would not count. Now, MI and Fla can't even afford to hold a re-election, and many people don't want to have to vote again. It's too bad that none of the leading dems: Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Howard Dean, could foresee that this would be a problem BEFORE making the rule and agreeing to it (and too bad that Michigan dems knew the rule and moved their primary anyway-- I don't blame Fla because it was the Republicans who made the decision to move the primary despite DNC rules) If people are TRULY upset about Fla and MI, we need to definitely change the rules for next time, rather than hold our opinions once we know that the rule helps or hurts us.
""fjfjdvdv"", you are absolutely correct. I have been arguing the same thing with my friends (some of whom are Hillary supporters and it makes them mad).
She needs to drag herself down and burn to ashes. There is a certain core group of her supporters that will never switch over to Obama, but that group will get smaller and smaller as she humiliates herself. Better that they stay home and not vote than vote for McCain. I know a few people that call themselves "Democrats" and "Liberals" but have been forwarding that Obama is the Anti-Christ email.
Those fanatics will never vote for Obama, but we can shrink that group and convert as many people as possible during this extended primary period. Those extremely angry people will always be angry. They aren't real Democrats anyway. I don't want to be associated with people that have such intense hatred in their hearts.
On another related note.... I am actually starting to think that this dragging on of the race isn't all bad for Obama. In this superficial world we live in, how many times have you heard the saying that "there is no such thing as bad publicity"?
Hillary can burn herself up, Obama can emerge from this fight like a Phoenix - tested and battle ready. He will look like a tougher more "vetted" candidate. He will have some campaign practice responding to "swift boat" style attacks.
It is also important to notice that we hear the names of Obama and Hillary easily 10 times more than we hear McCain. The more people talk about them, the more they seem like the "main" or "top" candidates. They get all the publicity. Meanwhile McCain looks like an old fool with Lieberman whispering in his ear and talking about 100 years of war.
Come November, every average person will have heard the name Obama a thousand times and will think of McCain as "that other old guy that is running who is kind of like Bush and wants more war and knows nothing about the economy."
Most Obama supporters I think are a little more issue aware, but so much of winning an election is just pure popularity. Obama is popular and if he can fight off Hillary, he'll have McCain beat.
Obama is NOT anything like JFK !!!
it is time for america to wake up and stand up we have all got to understand what is at stake;we the people have control of this country; we whine and cry about the cost of fuel, housing, the school system etc.we do have a choice just as in this election.we can collectivly choose a car company and not purchase their vehicles until they build one that is affordable and more fuel efficient.(down with suv,s )it,s funny how we can shoot men to the moon but we can,t build a vehicle that gets more than 12 miles to the gallon.if you think about all the business,s that leave their signs on after they close, most of them all night why ?they are closed.(millions across the country)we have a beltway around our city that you can drive around at 3 in the morning and not even turn your headlights on who knows what each of those lights cost or how much it cost to burn one all night .if we all get together and address the many issues of waste in this country and stop putting up withit i,ll just bet prices across the board will come down.their are 12,000 homes in our city under forecloser right now; we also have a forecloser tour bus so you can tour and take your pick.and we also have 10,000 homeless people but in spite of all of our ignorance we can go out for dinner a movie, or just go walk on the beach because we have a president that will not buckle, like hillary or obama will do, compared most of the rest the planet we live in great,FREE place,so i say lets get together and start bringing the price gougers to their knees because no one person can do it but together we can. we need to quit expecting one person take the blame for or fix our problems,so turn off the news, take kids to the park,go around telling people to turn off some lights.
Hillary your action movie about your visit to the Balkans under fire really brought it home for me, why many people said the Clintons were adept liars, man that movie was just too much to take.
Wow! running under cover of sniper fire at the airport, cancelling the welcome reception, what a fantastic movie plot....
yep! your role as president of the US should remain relegated to Hollywood.
How does McCain remind you of Truman? Did Truman sing Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran as a joke? No, he took the bombing of Japan very seriously and would never joke about it.
Clinton would lie to get out of a lie. How is she different than Nixon in that regard? (or, unfortunately, her husband). They pardoned all their friends right before he left office, remember?
Obama has inspired me and countless others to get involved in politics. If he can do that with a campaign, imagine what he can do with the country, getting so many people involved. He is a true leader.
The angry diatribes by Obama's pastor were eloquently explained by Obama, himself. Reverend Wright served his country as a MARINE. Some of his ideas may be silly, but convictions do not always emanate from sound judgment, but rather from the pain of life experience as Obama explained.
We live in a imperfect world of human beings and the good must often be with the bad.
Obama has grown through many influences, and I am sure he will continue to do so. If Obama choses to select Senator Bob Casey as his vice presidential running mate, he will continue this process. Senator Casey has extensive financial and budget experience. Something I believe Obama needs.
To Kris you need to do more research before trying to sound high and mighty when it comes to the meaning of words. Snag can also be used as a verb such as in fishing.
11. to become entangled with some obstacle or hindrance.
12. to become tangled: This line snags every time I cast.
13. (of a boat) to strike a snag.
14. to form a snag.
Hillary has proven to us and the world that it is possible to buy a NY senatorship. Do we need her to prove the presidency can be bought as well? Shw wants to be QUEEN HILLARY, but do we need an egocentric egomaniac in the presidency or a human being who understands us, other human beings?
McCain actually would not be too bad, but I believe Barack Obama has a better chance to unite us and feel like ONE COUNTRY .
I like that feeling!
The real enemies of the American people are themselves.
You are your own enemy if you - (1) Fail to read sufficient books, (2) Fail to seek thorough information, (3) Fail to listen to ALL sides of a story, (4) Are LAZY to do research and investigation, (5). Depend too much on FOX, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, etc (i.e. MSN) to tell you what the "truth" is, (6) Are afraid of change (though this is the history of the USA and the World), (7) believe one race is superior or better than another race, or that a particular race has special favour or recognition from God, (8) Do not recognize that ALL religions are essentially the creation of MAN (though usually created by people who genuinely wish to worship who or what they perceive God to be), (9) Believe the USA must always lead the world (though nothing is necessarily wrong if the USA is indeed leading the World), or from another angle, you believe the USA will always lead the world, and (10) Do not recognize that "pure" (or excessive) Capitalism is NOT the best thing for the USA and the World (we already KNOW that "pure" or excessive Communism/Socialism is NOT the way to go, but it SEEMS like the World is crying out for a liberal/moderate MIX of what is, by general consensus, GOOD from BOTH sides of the political spectrum).
Thanks!
Bill Clinton loves campaigning, so much so that when he was president his presidency was sometimes called an endless campaign. He never really stopped campaigning. His adminstration was a continuous and a continuing campaign. So that may partly explain why the Clinton don't want to get off stage. The other reason is that they are just sore losers who are hell bent on ruining the winner's chances. You know if aint me, it aint gona be him either. If I lose we must all lose.
Also now they are telling the superdelegates not to endorse either candidate when the endorsement from superdelegates before IOWA was what kept Hilary in the race. Without the first 254 or so superdelegates premature endorsements for her she would not have appeared that much of a substantive candidate. If she welcomed their endorsements even before the primaries were started why doesn't she welcome endorsement now that the primaries are almost over. This is even a better time for the superdelegate to endorse either candidate than before the primaries. The superdelegates should just do the right thing and let them continue campaigning because that is their raison d'etre.
What Idiots its about electrol not Delgates
Read Obama book dreams of my father Chapter 14 where he talks about his nice contervercial Pastor, then tell me he is being Honest.
Stay in the race Hilliary or Mcain will get our family votes of Die Hard Dems!!!
Senator Clinton is robbing the majority of the american people, the democrat leaders and Senator Obama from the opportunitty that this country needs for redireccion.
The Clinton's agenda is the revolting kamikase mentality, that only benefits the republicans. This thought process is irrational, distorted, selfish and evil.
Mrs. Clinton erratic behavior is becoming more obvious as she remains in the race.
In this times of uncertainty we need someone with ability to exercise a sound stable mind.
Hillary should get out of the way and get real. She also needs to realize where her real power lies--in the Senate. The longer she drags this out the more likely she could lose the plum that she already has. Let her take a lesson from Ted Kennedy. It's clear that neither Obama or Clinton have left room for each other as a running mate--and that's as it should be.
Hillary, thy name is "opportunistic duplicity."
I went to a one room school house as a kid. I remember the light streaming through the window when I first read "Dick and Jane."
I respond to "Hardworkingtaxpayertiredofhandouts."
I'm sorry that you're so bitter. I suspect that you have worked hard all your life and now fear that someone unqualified will stand in line for benefits from the government, someone less worthy than you.
We all have our fears. I was afraid when I went to the outhouse in first grade. I think these cows were, for the most part, milking cows with sharp horns; but they were always leaning through the barbed wire trying to eat school house grass.
Hardworkingtaxpayertiredofhandouts, please don't be afraid.
Wow, the divisiveness and cynicism displayed here is amazing! Folks who are so personally invested in "their" candidate that they would boycott the election or vote the other party really need to find new hobbies to vent their frustrations. As for the original, JFK or Lieberman Democrats, times change folks. The world you old-schoolers have bequeathed us sucks so talk of returning to the grand old party days, on either side of the aisle, can cease and desist! You know, if the Messiah himself were to return to lead us to salvation the egotistical bloviaters that cram the web-waves would fall over themselves pointing out imperfections and mistakes; lack of judgment and a failed policy of forgiveness. You people are looking for saviors within a system where none exist and will never be satisfied because you are so damn perfect nobody can ever measure up to your standards of work ethic and morality. Good luck with that. I will vote Obama because I want to believe. Salvation rests on the faith we will have in one another not the expectations of perfection we heap on one man or woman running for POTUS.
Obama is our Savior. Barak and Reverend Wright are Right, God D*** america. Now is the time to rally around Barak and Michelle and make them proud! No more so called elections where typical white people vote! And news flash america, Barak is right, your typical white american is a racist! Obama will apologize to our Muslim brothers for arrogant american policies of hate and slavery. Only Obama can forgive an evil nation founded on slavery. REPARATIONS NOW!
Hillary is all about Hillary. She whines about media treatment of her-cause she's a gal-but didn't say ONE WORD about the way the horrible way the media treated a Gold Star mother, of the war Hillary supported. Cindy Sheehan -who simply asked what noble cause her son died for.
Hillary told we military families who wanted an end to the war, that she needed to speak with some families in favor of the war before she could make a formal statement (2005) I saw first hand just what /who Hillary was looking out for then. Whatever was politically viable for HER, to hell with the rest. I'm no liberal, but I'll never vote for her or McCain.
I used to LOVE her and defend her in the 90's...but she doesn't love my country the way it should be or our military. Certainly NOT commander-in-chief material and we women can do much better. for a candidate.
Besides she said she "trusted Bush" Yea, well she trusted Bill to be faithful...we don't need another president who trusts the wrong people. She's too naive to be president. That's Hillary's 'experience'
With regard to the experience issue
1) Obama. Obama has twice the experience (in D.C. and in Springfield, IL) as the last president we elected from Illinois, and that president is generally seen as our greatest president. He, incidentally, succeeded a President (Buchanan) of cast experience, who is generally seen as the worst president in American history.
2) Clinton. Much of her 36 years of "experience" was as an associate, then as a partner, at the Rose law firm in Little Rock. As for 1993-2001, her chief substantive contribution was the health care task force, which she quite screwed up.
The Clintons totally believe that the presidency belongs to them. They never imagined that God can use this man (Obama) to show up in the American scene to help America and to rescue America from people like the Clintons. We better vote overwhelmingly for Obama and show ourselves that we can't be tricked any longer.
Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and all good-thinking democrats need to stop this primary campaign and vote for this Mr. Obama. All America's middle class and workers better run to Obama's camp and make this man President for our sake's. This is serious. Dear fellow white folks--we better not be fooled. God will use this man to help us and America.
You may decide to let yourself be deceived by the Pastor issue or not, but we better not make a dangerous mistake this time. I may not agree with one or two things Mr. Obama stands for, but God seems to be leaning on using this man to help America at such a time as this—a time of serious turmoil in America’s economy, political system, and international relations/cooperation. One of the worst mistakes America can make in all of America’s history is to miss electing Obama President at this CRITICAL PERIOD of America. This man is not black, he’s not white, he’s not green or yellow or whatever. HE IS A GODLY AND HUMBLY SENSITIVE AMERICAN whom God will work with to bless America again. Don’t be surprise that the fuel prices at the pump will soar DOWN to unbelievable price per gallon again, and OPEC will have little or nothing to do with it, and Obama himself may not have anything to do with it except that he is occupying the office. God is God when He gets the right person in place. Hillary is not the one now. Obama has to also think doubly twice before choosing Hillary as VP. She might be a source of problems!!! God is setting up America to be healed through this man. I continue to see it this way.
Ohio and hundreds of thousands of voters in Texas have been duped into voting for Mrs. Clinton. Mrs. Clinton duped them with the lies and innuendos on NAFTA and the 3:00 a.m. ad. But see–God exposed Clinton on NAFTA lies against Obama. She definitely worked to institute NAFTA and the
Canadian government also stated that someone from her campaign contacted Canada’s leadership on her non-seriousness of her campaign rhetoric on Ohio NAFTA campaign. Well she gained the votes and won. I strongly call on Ohio and Texas voters to chastise Clinton and to demand their votes back!!! This exposure on NAFTA will let you know about what she means when she talks about the 3:00 a.m. phone call. Hillary will not answer that call. If she does, she won’t know what to do or she will most probably make the wrong decision, trying to do things just by herself without consultation or she will be worrying and bugged down with “guilts” about what she has done to people in negative campaigning. Obama will make very good decisions, and he will make sure to get together with the right people to help him explore necessary alternatives and contingencies.
Wake up America and stop being maneuvered by people like Hillary. As someone wrote in the internet concerning Hillary’s stunt on NAFTA, “When people talk about Hillary’s experience, it is this type of stunt they are referring to…i.e., political experience. She’s good at the Dark Arts, but that’s about it as far as her experience goes.”
Mr. Barack Obama is actually stronger in national security, economy, healthcare, and some of the other issues than either Hillary or McCain. America is at a stage in her life that she needs overhaul. The agent of that overhaul is Obama for such a time as this. His middle name does not matter and there is nothing wrong with it. He did not give himself the name. He loves everyone, including Israel. In fact, he might be the strongest supporter and defender of Israel ever. What people do not know is that Obama attends one of the strictest Christian denominations that commit very seriously to serving Jesus Christ. Church of Christ is STRICT! A weak Christian cannot attend such a denomination. It is seriously Pentecostal. The former Pastor certainly got carried away as many Ministers do and made some regretful comments. But that doesn’t mean that man does not love America. The ex-marine just got carried away. It is also becoming very clear that Hillary can do or say anything to win while Obama, on the other hand, being a strong Christian, simply does not want to attack Hillary negatively, although he and everyone else knows how to do it. Right now, Hillary is striving to mess up the chances of the democratic party in the general election and to stop this important move toward truly refreshing and resurrecting prosperous America again. Somebody needs to help and stop the mess. I love the Clintons, but what they are doing now is not in the nation’s interest. It might even be termed unpatriotic within some reason.
NOW Catch this: America cannot be resurrected into vitality and prosperity until significant number of her citizens become energized by the inspiration, wakening, and motivating spirit that God has embedded in Obama for the benefit of America AT THIS TIME. When people are aroused and awake again, then they can work hard and participate together toward believing and making everything work toward strengthening the economy, family, political system, national security, and building healthy and trusting relationships within America and between America and the rest of the world. That’s NATIONAL SECURITY! THAT’S ECONOMIC STRENGTH! THAT’S PEOPLE TRUSTING AND BELIEVING IN AMERICA AGAIN! I am a Professor of Business Administration and Strategic Management for a long time. Obama is what America needs at this time. Again, I may not agree with one or two of his stands, but cost-benefit analysis clearly places him far on the top right now and for America. World leaders will actually respect him much more than others due to his humble spirit but also quiet inner strength! In fact, terrorists will think much-more than twice before they try to attack any American interests with Obama as President. They already have it in their heads that this man cannot play with them. I presume that Obama may be more humble than Reagan, but he has a tough demeanor similar to Reagan that outside world will fear and respect!
He will humble himself to negotiate with anyone and at any level, but those opponents will know (for sure) that they are not dealing with a push-over or someone they can ride even for a second. He will not make many mistakes and he relatively will not waste resources as many American Presidents have done over the years in dealing with foreign governments. He will appropriate resources wisely and monitor their use and who uses them, especially in relation to foreign aid and foreign wars. Many nations trick the United States into sending the dollars; but the dollars have usually been used to accomplish very little. Most dollars are wasted in highly corrupt foreign leaders who claim to be assisting their nations. Such leaders will find it difficult to try to play Obama. The following ad will fit the Mr. Obama:
“….. Shouldn’t the President be the one, the only one that is capable of uniting people and solve problems without letting any problem turn into crises? The inspiration, my ability to relate to people instead of using intimidation or fight-posture, and my ability to manage or analyze contingencies and draw necessary conclusions and judgments define domestic and national security for America. Such qualification leads to getting problems solved without heading into crises that will bruise and drain America and wound our economy and every other thing! That’s REAL security! That’s the REAL experience you need! That’s Barack Obama! We don’t have to use force when we don’t have to use force! If experience leads to consistently bad judgments, then what is that experience? You be the judge! How can someone who does not mind tricking Ohio into voting for her with lies on NAFTA be your President? How can Hillary Clinton be the President of this great nation if her experience is on flip-flops, innuendos, and accusing Obama wrongly for what she herself is doing? She is both Ms and Mrs. Hood Wink Wink and double-talk! Make Hillary pay for Ohio and Texas! Run away from HILLARY! Leave her alone! She is TOO DESPERATE to be the President of this United States of America. Her mind won’t be steady at 3:00 a.m., for she will be worrying about all the negative campaigns. I will make the right judgment at 3:00 a.m., all a.ms., and all p.ms. given the circumstances of the call! People’s lives are at stake; therefore, no one can jump into quick and un-chewed decision without consulting the Presidential cabinet or even the congress or even the American people. Run away from misjudgment. [EVEN the ‘3 a.m. Ad’ Girl Wants Obama to Answer Call. Girl featured in Hillary Clinton’s ad actually supports Obama. ABC News - Sun Mar 9, 12:35 PM ET] Make me your President and let us deliver Change We Can Believe In. YES WE CAN!”
Dear America, let us open our eyes and see how God is fighting for this man, Mr. Obama, who is a fairly serious Christian running to become our President. The cheep and deceiving Hillary’s campaign didn’t know that they were using a girl in a campaign who is actually campaigning for Obama right now. That’s how God fights for people who are humble and means well like Obama. That’s how God will fight for America when the right person becomes her Commander In Chief. Just read the ABC News excerpt:
—-[”They were parodying this ad, kind of poking fun at it,” Knowles said. “My brother was like, ‘Is that Casey?’ And we just erupted. Sure enough, it’s me.” The file footage was originally shot for a railroad company advertisement. The Clinton campaign bought it from Getty Images. Knowles, a senior at Bonney Lake High School who turns 18 next month, has been campaigning for Obama. She attended his rally at Seattle’s KeyArena on Feb. 8. Her mother, Pam, told The News Tribune of Tacoma that Casey cried and trembled after shaking the candidate’s hand. The next day, she was a Democratic precinct captain for the state’s caucuses. If she plays her cards right, she could go to the national convention. Not to mention that she could be in another ad. After her identity became known, Obama’s campaign contacted her. “I mentioned that we should make a counter ad, me and Obama, against Hillary,” she said. “They thought that was really funny. They actually might take me up on it.”
Now you make the judgment. This is Obama’s time for America. Vote for Obama to vote for America’a security, peace, economic prosperity, and political prosperity again!!!!!!!!!! Don’t let any politician dupe your vote.
Dear fellow Americans and all white people: please do not make this mistake and then keep crying years later. I am independent and this is the first time I will be voting a democrat for President. Bad leadership takes away jobs and stifles cities and states. Let us wisely vote for this man Barack Obama. God will use him to resurrect and bless America in-deed through the empowering of middle class, etc. Read the following response by an Indian lady or gentleman from Canada:
"I am an Indian, living in Canada and I am fascinated by this election as an outsider I would like to make the following comments to my friends in America. This is indeed a once in a lifetime opportunity for the US middle class and it looks like they will miss it! Most economist say that the Indian and Chinese economies will equal or surpass the US by 2050 (only 40 years away). I never believed this considering the vast corruption and lack of infrastructure in those countries. But watching how this election has progressed I can see it happening and it is truly fascinating to see a nation capable of making a change in destiny choose a wrong path.
