Poll supports Obama's case to party
The latest Gallup poll is like manna from heaven for Barack Obama it so neatly backs up two key arguments he and his supporters are making -- that he is the stronger candidate for the fall, and that the marathon nomination fight is hurting the party.
In the poll, 59 percent of Democrats said that Obama would have the better chance as the Democratic nominee in November, compared to 30 percent for Hillary Clinton. Among Republicans, 64 percent said their presumptive nominee, John McCain, would have a better chance to win against Clinton, while only 22 percent said Obama would be the weaker Democrat.
"Clearly at this point, the party rank-and-file thinks Obama would present a stronger challenge to McCain in the fall than Clinton would," the pollsters said in a release. "Those attitudes could certainly change over the remainder of the campaign, but it is notable that Obama maintains a wide lead in these perceptions shortly after the Jeremiah Wright controversy knocked his campaign off stride."
The poll, released today, also found that 56 percent of Democrats believe that the drawn-out nomination battle is doing "more harm than good," while 35 percent believe it is doing "more good than harm." A growing drumbeat of Obama backers, most notably Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont, have urged Clinton to consider dropping out for the party's good.
The survey, conducted March 24-27, has an overall margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points and a margin of error among Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents of plus or minus 5 percentage points.

She needs to GET OUT. She isn't paying vendors in Ohio. She owes one over $25,000.00. This is a person who stating "I WILL FIGHT FOR YOU" But she owes
middle class people working for her campaign money all over the state of OHIO
How stupid can the American people be?? I am furious over this. She doesn't pay her own bills but is EXPERIENCED on the ECONOMY. She is trying to get all those blue collar workers to vote for her. PEOPLE IN PENNSYLVANIA BETTER RETHINK WHO THEY ARE VOTING FOR. SHE CERTAINLY HAS FORGOTTEN THOSE VENDORS IN OHIO. THEY HAVE HAD NO RESPONSE FROM CLINTON
She USED THEM AND THEN LEFT THEM HIGH AND DRY
Obama is our Savior. Barak and Reverend Wright are Right, God D*** america. Now is the time to rally around Barak and Michelle and make them proud! No more so called elections where typical white people vote! And news flash america, Barak is right, your typical white american is a racist! Obama will apologize to our Muslim brothers for arrogant american policies of hate and slavery. Only Obama can forgive an evil nation founded on slavery. REPARATIONS NOW!
Ladies and Gentlemen it is without question that Barack Obama will be the Democratic party nominee. He won more votes, more pledged delegates, more states. You cannot simply move the goaI posts any longer just ask Bobby Bowden or Nancy Pelosi. I for one appreciate the tempering Senator Obama has received from Billary’s “kitchen sink, Tonya Harding” strategies. Senator Obama will be stronger for having risen above her divisiveness and our candidate will thus be prepared for the Karl Roves and their fear be afraid be very afraid techniques. The Democrats lost the House of Representatives, the Senate and of course the White House. Do we really want more of those results for our country?
John McCain a.k.a. Senator “McWar” cannot create more make believe boogeymen; the American people are now on to that b.s..
I fought in Iraq in the All Americans 82nd Airborne and join the now legions of my comrades opposed to the war which has cost 4000+ of my comrades in arms their lives and maimed another 25,000+. How much does a trillion and counting cost each American family? I ask any citizen who doubts the price of this war to visit the nearest Veterans hospital to them. The one I visit for therapy has a plaque on it that states The price of freedom is clearly evident here. The price for Iraq is way too high for a war which we should not be in. No WMD, No ties to Al Qaeda Etc. Etc. I pray that our country is really prepared to show courage and turn the page away from the dismal George W. cowboy with no guts or sense years and put our great nation on a better path.
Vote Barack Obama America!
Overall I think it is a negative thing for the Democratic party that this primary is continuing. Clinton and Obama are doing the Republican party's job for them by bringing up the dirt on each other. On the other hand getting the dirt out now is much less damaging than it would be closer to the election. Take the Reverend Wright story. I think it's a big deal over nothing but some people think it's huge. By November the new media is going to be tired of running that story (well everyone but FOX).
I cannot see any realistic way that Clinton will win. The Superdelagates will not end up voting for someone who did not do as well in the primary, especially when Clinton is widely believed to be the one less likely to win the general election. The only way Clinton will win is if she can uncover some serious bad news on Obama. The Reverend Wright thing is not nearly good enough to substantially effect the results, she needs something that actually involves Obama, not one of his friends or associates.
It's nice when the polls support common sense.
A great many democrats have been sucked into the Obama cult of personality, and, with virtually every media outlet claiming that Obama's speech on race was historic and satisfying in terms of addressing the outstanding problems of his association with Jeremiah Wright (without going into detail about Obama's close association with Reverend James T. Meeks and Salem Baptist and other black leaders of Wright's ilk), it's not particularly surprising that a majority of Democrats have come to this conclusion. After all, Obama is winning the election. Democrats needed a reason to justify their vote and the corporate media handed it to them. It's all hunky dory now.
As for Republicans, their responses are for the most part a combination of subconscious fear of being perceived as racist by interviewers (many respondents, especially those who perceive interviewers as having reason to suspect them of racialized politics, are deceptive with interviewers in polls when race is a factor), a deep-seated hatred of Clinton that has them convinced that there is no way Clinton can be a strong candidate (they don't know anybody who would vote for Clinton, so how could most Americans?), and a press so completely in Obama's camp that they are convinced that McCain won't be covered fairly in the general election if Obama is the candidate.
Given everything we can plainly see about the circumstances surrounding this poll, the results are predictable. More accurate are polls asking Clinton supporters whether they will support Obama or McCain in the event Clinton doesn't get the nomination. The finding that one-third of Clinton supporters will support McCain given such an outcome is a much clearer indication of the consequences of an Obama candidacy. Numbers to this question put to the Obama side have risen of late because Obama supporters, frustrated by Clinton's reluctance to quit in the middle of the fight, have turned on her (when the question was first asked, only a small proportion of Obama supporters would switch parties given the opposite scenario).
If the polls ever switch in Clinton's favor, it will happen despite the overwhelming force of the corporate media's surreal push for an Obama's candidacy. For the sake of America, I hope this happens, but it's unlikely. Moreover, with Obama contributing so much money to the campaigns of superdelegates, who, more than 80 percent of the time support the candidate who contributes the most money to their campaign, it looks bleak for Clinton. I have little reason to hope that reason will prevail in this year's primary struggle. It looks like John McCain will be our next president.
If all the media, the so-called experts, and everyone's favorite messaiah talked about was that the sky was falling, arbitrary polling data would indicate that people believed the sky was falling. Why not just let the process run its course? The only way to have avoided this ridiculously 'American' tendancy of believiing what you read or hear despite what you truly believe, i.e fairness, equity and representation would have been to hold national primiaries across the country on a single day. Thereby avoiding all the manipulative press and self-serving campaigning. The process is designed to allow each American to choose based on what they beilieve, and to have those beliefs corrupted by "pundits", corporate media, political operatives (with agendas, hidden and otherwise) is blatantly abuzive.
The results are the survey are certainly in line with my intuition. Barack Obama seems like the rare candidate who is both willing to stake out strong positions AND offer convincing reasons for why he should be supported.
speaking of manna, does anyone think these three candidates will have the intelligence to tackle drug law reform? It is long overdue, and as Rep. Barney Frank recently said the politicians are way behind the public on this. It is painfully obvious that our laws currently do more harm than good, so why are these people so afraid to talk about things that really matter and change that can have positive effect?
We want American manufacturing and we want energy indepence while employing green technologies right? Hemp is the backbone necessary for developing these things, that is why Popular Mechanics said it was the "Next Billion Dollar Crop" back in 1938 (just months after politicians had quietly enacted legislation to ban it.) We are talking trillions of dollars now, and this is above and beyond what we will be saving in terms of police and the prison industrial complex now that we will no longer be locking people up for using a substance renowned by various religions and cultures throughout the world. With our current system, our children pay the price for our fear and ignorance; I cannot imagine a politician in the world who would want to be seen that way, but I still cannot find a different way to see the current situation. When will these people wake up?
What seems to escape all the pollsters and pundits is the fact that many Clinton supporters have already been so put off my Obama and his backers that they will not vote for him -regardless if Clinton drops out of the race tomorrow or three months from now. I have voted a straight Democratic ticket for the past 40 years but the only question left in my mind is whether I will vote for Democrats other than Obama or simply stay home on Election Day. I will never vote for a man I consider to be deceptive, manipulative, arrogant, inexperienced and generally unqualified to lead this country. And I don't think that I am alone. I think millions of others-especially women-will be turning their backs on the Democratic party both in November and for the foreseeable future. So enjoy your new young consitituents, Nancy Pelosi, for as long as they last.
if one believes all these polls then earth will turn quare.
does it not carry any weight who performs the polls.
if obama is so bright and unbeatable then he should let the game play to the end and see the concrete results. his side has been doing their best to block the voters from florida and michigan and at the same time saying we should find a way to seat their delegates. IN ONE BREATH OBAMA SAYS HE WILL ABIDE BY THE DECISION OF THE DNC AND AT THE SAME TIME HE OPPOSES ANY PROPOSAL TO SEAT THESE DELEGATES. THAT IS NO MORE CHEAP DOUBLE TALK AND DISHONESTY.
HILLARY IS NOT POLITICALLYDEAD YET SO DO NOT START WRITING HER POLITICAL OBITUARY
Clinton wanted to give it her best shot, but now the writing is on the wall. It's time for her to put her ego aside.
She should run as an independent. Lets see then if Obama will win in November. Democrats turned against famous Joe Liberman and we all know how that movie ended. I will not vote for Obama if it was matter of life and death. Furthermore, I am sick and tired of his cult like supporters. Hillary gets my vote, no Hillary my family goes for Nader.
If Hiliary pulls out after the Pennsylvania primary, would the other states still hold their primaries? If yes, how many delegates does she expect to clock UP. Michigan and Florida already decided what they wanted to do by moving their primaries. So just leave that alone and move on.
Wonderful! !! These are great polls! Of course I realize they are not 100% reliable, but these sure do look like a very good thing for Senator Obama!! He is not only the stronger candidate, he is by far the BETTER candidate to serve as the leader of this great country!!
He will be a great President and Commander-in- Chief! We are looking at the future President of the United States of America!! A President who truly believes in "A GOVERNMENT FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, AND OF THE PEOPLE"!
Sooner or later Hillary and her camp will have to realize that we really prefer new blood and new ideas in the White House. Hillary's political views are antiquated and do not belong in this new century.
As an aside: Will someone please tell Bill Clinton that Hillary is NOT a 60 year old GIRL? She is approaching , if not already in, the elderly category. Also, Chelsea is not a child, she is a 28 year old adult.
Obama is the weakest candidate against republicans.Open your eyes please. This is why they want to run against him.Hillary is the way more stronger candidate.Just add 2+2.
I think that if there is a clear nominee by June, and it should be Barack Obama, the party will unite behind him and we will win the presidency.
The Gallup Poll is flawed. Everyone who understands polls is noticing that the poll has Hillary doing well midweek and Obama doing well weekends. Please look at pollster.com for a thorough explanation. Rassmussen's tracking poll calls the race a dead heat. And last but not least Survey USA, currently the most respected pollster, has a new poll for Kentucky with Clinton leading Obama 2-1. A very ominous situation for Obama is that Clinton is leading him nationally among white women by 27 points. So much for your headline.
Because Obama's credibility is hemmoraging and he expects everybody to play nice with him while he throws cheap shots and blames one person for everything he does wrong, divisive politics of fear. No Democrat will say anything bad about him because they are forced to play by his rules, no Republican will say anything bad about him because he is a fish in a barrel. Just wait... Because his wife will never be proud of her country unless people vote for her husband. Barack Hussein Obama SCAPEGOATING a fellow Democrat worse than any Republican ever. Obama will go down in history as the one guy that could lose an unlosable election due to his personal greed or ulterior motives. EQUAL RIGHTS ARE NOT SPACIAL RIGHTS.
"Manna from heaven "_ this quotation is from alQuran. I believe Barak Obama would be the next President of American,Ameica of the people,by the people and for the people.
I can tell you of a better President, "JESUS CHRIST". He will be the supreme President of all time!!!! . He will be THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!!!!.
The one and only who will sit upon the throne of David!!
Another poll without explaing who was polled, 5 percantage points is a pretty wide margin of error. The margin of error should be no more than 3 percentage points.
I can't understand why obama and supporters don't want the remaining states to have there say. It ays something that Obama didn't want the Michigan abd Florida votes counted so go figure why should the remaing states not count.....Obama doesn't care about the electorate. He is concerned with winning.... I think people will come to realize , just like we did with bush, the smooth talking lies and stories that are being told. I think the powers that be think Obama will be the most easily manipulated and therefore will make the best puppet. Obama will win because he has the backing of the wealthy elite.
As this moot primary process continues, savvy contributors (for both Obama and Clinton) realize that we are being asked to buy popcorn even though the credits are rolling. The reality is this movie, (to continue the analogy) is over. The problem is that each unnecessarily contested primary now means millions of dollars in possibly irreplaceable campaign expenditures. Each fratricidal attack means thousands more disaffected donors who won’t open their checkbook in the general election. And, not just for the presidential nominee, but for all the legislative races that are necessary for the Democratic Party to retain and expand its majority in both houses of Congress. “Hillary it’s 3 a.m. Are you there? The campaign is over, please pick up.”
I don't buy these polls, and what makes anyone think the Republicans will report that they consider Obama completely incapable of winning a general election at this time? If he's the democratic nominee, we will surely have the Republicans for 4 more years---is that really what we want?
A dose of reality which will be ignored by Clinton.
Polls are fleeting glimpses of opinion and have proven to be less reliable in this unusual election, but these numbers are hard to deny on any basis. The trends are also important to watch. I'm an independent, but I know a great many, thoughtful Republicans who are now Obama supporters. My previously apolitical kids (23,21,18) are all Obama supporters. As ugly as this process has become, there is something fundamentally different going on this year. Normal polling will probably not accurately characterize it, but of late even classical polling shows the trend.
The longer the Democrats can command media coverage on Americans' real issues while John McCain confuses Sunnis and Shiites, the better off the Democrats will be. Openly discussing the important issues is good democracy. Going early to the mattresses for your single candidate (of either party) is shortsighted for selecting a longterm leader. Although a majority of Democrats believe the drawn out primary is doing more harm than good, we need the voice of a leader -- in my view, Obama -- to convince us that open discussion is good. He has done that recently and we should all listen.
I was once a Clinton fan. However, I now see what others who wereclose to the Clintons have said. They mostly care about themselves first. If they really cared about the ideals of the Democratic party, they would at least be prepared to bow out and support Obama after the Penn. Primary. Her credibility will be exposed even more when she goes up against McCain. The Republicans are salivating about going up against Hillery. They have so much ammo to discredit her that it will be a white wash for them. Oh yea and not to forget how many of us will become disinterested in the election if Hillary is the nominee. It will be a cake walk for the so so McCain and another lame four years for the Republicans. Al Gore and Obama as a VP would have worked also.
The Gallup poll is telling mainstream media what they have known all along, that Obama is the uniter and the candidate to carry the banner for the Big Tent party.
Now if only Democratic leaders (and pundits) had the gumption to acknowledge what has been obvious for the past month and half: Obama has won.
Hitlery would be equally unreasonable if she was ever able to claw her way to the White House. The result would be a war that would make Iraq look like a play ground. She is so polarizing while she is trying to play nice in the elections. It begs to question what global anger her lies, arrogance and poor judgment would cause.
"The latest Gallup poll is like manna from heaven for Barack Obama it so neatly backs up two key arguments he and his supporters are making -- that he is the stronger candidate for the fall, and that the marathon nomination fight is hurting the party."
Horrible sentence structure!
Hillary's decision to coat tail with an unsavory predator for power is precisely that character flaw that chills any aware insightful person. Sometimes race issue is necessary because of the profundity. Obama is uniquely talented in the fact his being is genetically wired as the reconciliation of the opposites. That is exactly the attunement necessary to defuse the polarity of the planet. It's black and white. What could be simpler?
Of course they support it! The media has sold out to Obama and has negatively impacted Clinton. It is negative 24/7. But we are still half of the Democrat Party. One that Obama, Obama endorsers, Obama supporters, the DNC and MEDIA, have either forgotten or is unconcerned with our right to our voice and our vote. What goes unspoken is that Obama does not have good odds in winning a General Election after the Wright controversy and he has many contoversial issues coming up right behind it. But this is basically ignored. Why? And if he does win this nomination and have any chance at a General Election, he certainly CAN NOT win without Clinton supporters. Noone has the right to force another candidate out of the race until the race is over. And it is not. The DNC needs to remember that there is another half of this party. She is the more qualified candidate and a candidate that represents ALL Americans. It is a shame that the media is in the tank. And to those that have not voted, please vote for Senator Clinton.
Hillary Clinton should stay in the race. I don't care what your polls say. I believe she is the only one that can beat McCain. Obama backers are not real. They do not posess the wisdom and values of mature America. They are not the tried and true who have worked hard, sacrificed, and fought in wars to keep the American spirit alive. This whole campaign of Obama's is a real joke. It has been a party and picnic for Obama and his backers. No real caring for what will happen to our country when the third team of George Bushes are in power another 8 years.
Hillary Clinton has worked hard for this country for over 30 years and she deserves to get the party's nomination not a newcomer like Obama who hasn't done anything but divide the Democratic party. He is supported by the Republican money just to split the party and the country. The Republicans are having a hayday with this split of our party.
Senator Amy Klobucher speaks to the national ideology that has made the US a shining beacon to the world. With Bush, this light has dimmed. Unlike Obama's suporters, Gov. Rendell of Pennsylvania, in pushing Hillary's campaign, has been speaking out against the UNITED States of America and for a DISUNITED States, divided by race, gender, age, class, etc, because that is all that Hillary will be able to produce. She will disunite us all. What solutions will be possible then? Eight more years of paralysis and the death watch for our beloved nation, with the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton dynasties. Wake up, superdelegate patriots, and help Senator Klobucher turn the page for US all. The UNITED States forever!
Unless the real political and religious agenda of Barrack Obama is fully explained, how can the much discredited pollsters say that the long-drawn-out primary campaign for Democratic presidential nomination has done more harm to the Democrats' chances of winning the general election? In distancing himself from Rev. Jeremiah Wright who has shaped his theological and political thinking for 20 years, how can we be sure that this is not just a temporizing posturing of Obama to gain some advantage as he has done with his economic guru on the issue NAFTA. We are friends of America overseas. We are mainly concerned that the great nation will not allow Black Power to be swept into power, largely because of their enchatment with some sweat new voice for change which is disguished under the influence of Black Liberation Theology. If this turns out to be the case, more real harm will be done to the nation, than the prolonged debate about patriotism, and what not.
Hillary....Will you please go away. You're a nightmare.
Where is Mark Penn to tell us that we should look at the polls and use it to decide who the nominee should be. I'm guessing he hopes we don't bring it up and ask him to tell Hilary to drop out now that the polls show she's behind.
He should know better that the polls don't matter much, at the same time realize that Hilary has no chance of catching up in tyhe delegate race and the superdeligate will not overturn the lead based on polls!

Almost every poll can be rigged to support Obama by just letting the Obamabots know there is a poll. They will sit on the site for an hour. Now let me tell you what I personally think! This has been the worst primary season I have ever seen . My Husband and I managed to get caught up in the very undemocratis caucus process. Everything has been downhill from there. It was filled with bullies from the Obama campaign and they have been doing the "bully" thing ever since, everywhere. With more money than sense, they are buying off the media and many of the blogs and look at the money they are donating to SDs. I thought the last two elections were rigged, but not as blatantly as this one. The DNC elites are acting like a bunch of drunken sailors and assuring McCranky a win, and I know hundreds of Hillary Dems that will help him. The DNC think they can turn this around but that just is not going to happen. Obama would destroy this country just like he has again divided the races. He is full of hate and evil!!!!!!
We need a solution Now to this Race and for The Democratic Party there is an answer!
Yesterday Hillary again was pressing for the Michigan and Florida Delegates to be seated. The Party must state a final decision, which has to be that Rules can't be Changed now that were Agreed to, then the Party must tale into account the reduced number of Delegates and the number needed for the final nomination Candidate to cross the line - we then may be able to start to prepare for November and The Election!
Democrats NEED Clinton to stay in the race. OBAMA IS UNELECTABLE IN GENERAL ELECTION. Obamas campaign pastor is not going away anytime soon Rev Wright says you don't have to wait for the afterlife for the mansion on the hilltop, hes right! to shut him up Trinity United Church of Christ is building Rev. Wright a $1 mil house on a lot that was purchased for $345,000. According to his federal income tax return Obama gave the Trinity United church $22,500 in contributions. CBS Chicago has strangely not released video they have of Obama at Trinity United Church of Christ Service with Pastor Wright. According to a Chicago Tribune article, at the Service Obama spoke to the cheering congregation and the choir sang, “Hallelujah Barack”. After the service Wright and Obama sat together, laughing , talking and signing books. if ANY other candidate had this controversy swirling the footage would have found it’s way to the national and cable news networks by now! Obama who marched with Farrakhan”Obama AND OPRAHS Pastor Slurs Italians in Latest Magazine (CNSNews.com) Wright continues his Obama supported attacks on non-blacks now slurring Italians in issue of Trumpet Newsmag. Wright states, Jesus enemies had their opinion, Italians looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans, and Jesus death on a cross was a public lynching Italian style! This government runs everything from the White House to the schoolhouse, from the Capitol to the KKKlan of white supremacy who is clearly in charge. Every issue published Wright's rant against white people in which he covers a world that is controlled by white supremacy, a country that’s on its way to hell in a hand basket because of lying politicians, in a culture that still thinks 'white is right! He said young African-American Christians are more concerned about 'bling bling' than about freeing their minds and still Obama says I could no more disown him than I could disown the black community. Trumpet Newsmagazine started 80s, Wright is CEO and Wright's daughter, Jeri Wright, is the publisher. Requests for comments Obama camp of course not answered. Trumpet Nov/Dec edition, featured Louis Farrakhan, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement "Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter" award. Farrakhan has called Judaism a "gutter religion" and said Jews are "bloodsuckers. Many of the biased cable news pundits try to make viewers believe Obama's speech limited damage of Wright controversy, but the general election will show voters strongly disagree, especially non-black voters. Obama refuses to explain to the public why he would have someone as such a close spiritual advisor and mentor and why he would expose two young daughters to such hatefulness against fellow Americans. The problem Wright's comments are not theological views, but political statements. This is a serious issue for Obama in general election. As with each new utterance on the topic of Reverend Wright, Barack Obama confirms his own moral obliviousness and he seems to have disdain for those who are troubled by his own unwillingness to break with Wright, even worse Obama still insists Wright is a brilliant man, So brilliant, apparently, that he has uncovered the plot by white America to kill African Americans, so insightful to perceive the 9/11 attacks caused by American terrorism and his discerning observation Israel is a “dirty” word, and still in Obama’s eyes, Wright is brilliant. This, we are told by biased cable news pundits like CNN Obamaphiles, is not supposed to affect voters’ view of Obama’s judgment. Perhaps voters are embarrassed to tell pollsters they are privately offended. General election Republicans as well as independents and democrats are irked by this moral obtuseness even though media like CNN or Hardball cover it up with bogus Clinton attacks.
After the race speech , "A more perfect union" by Barack, I was even more convinced proving my point all along that he is the best candidate to be the next President of the great USA!
People touted his lack of experience, but what Obama did was a great way to show how well he is equipped to handle crises. The speech following the attacks over his Pastor! and all that kitchen sink dirt from the former First Lady, Hillary Clinton!Obama showed remarkable courage under fire and handled himself well. He took responsibility to address what people are always so afraid to handle in public - race issue in America. Look at how well that resonated with most people. You would really just be a die hard not to have had some of the experiences he talked about and described, without hate or any presumptive ideas, just like it is, is what he spelled out! Being understanding, yet clear on his stance.
Good Luck! Go Obama!!
I just want to know one thing...where the heck are Hillary Clinton's tax returns? How lonnng does it take to release them anyway? WHY in the owrl does she need all these months to release them. Can we have some info on that pls??
Obama will not severe ties with the Rev. Wright because he will lose his African American base, I do not understand why people say they cannot figure out why he doesn't. He plays it both ways. Hypocrite.
He is also guilty of outright lies. Saying his mother and father met at an M.L. King rally, wrong. Taking more credit for passing some legislation than he deserves, etc.
The media ignores this or does not focus on this because, and I cannot understand this, they are biased against Hillary and favor Obama. Just listen to Chris Mathews. Embarassing--feelings going up his legs. Ugh!
I agree with Obama. Clinton has every right to stay in the race. However, beating up on the Democratic nominee, and aligning herself with McCain are definitely not the way to go. It's really a shame that the Clnton machine is so self centered that, in the face of only a 5% chance of winning, while on life support run by a generator, it continues to undermine the inevitable nominee. The Clintons owe the Democratic party and its voters loyalty. We are not getting that.
Hillary should stay in the race as long as she likes, however, she should take a cue from Huckabee and not attack the nominee! She should not make divisive claims that she will trainwreck the convention. She should stop lying to the American people that she was cheated in Michigan and Florida. Enough already, Hillary! Show some class and dignity, please!
Guys, regarding Reverend Wright...I understand the anger and tension those comments caused....I really do......but although the speech didn't have this sole focus of addressing the comments and his relationship with him, he really could not do this.....The 2 most hateful comments in the 30 seconds clip Fox News provided were quotes OF OTHERS, that he CLEARLY CITED in his speech and was RENOUNCING. If Obama has to RENOUNCE everything Wright said in those clips he will then be AGREEING with the statements that Wright was DENOUNCING.
Please go on Youtube and view the full speeches. I promise you will see something different.

Barack not leaving that church a few years ago was a poor POLITICAL decision, but not a poor MORAL decision.
Yes, he knew the preacher at times was a critic of United States domestic and foreign policy. He knew very well that like these clips showed the preachers statements could be taken out of context to make him a black man seem racist and fit stereotypes some have of blacks racial views. It showed a lot of courage to stay in that church. Reverend Wright is the most respected preacher in the United Church of Christ a 99% white denomination. Doesn't it seem strange that we have not heard from a single white person who had known Wright or attended his sermons in 36 years saying he was racist, offended, or they felt discriminated against.
Most of the churches he is asked to speak at AARE WHITE. He is respected by many white preachers.
one thing the blogs demonstrate is that we are people who really want to fight with each other. argument addiction.
i am very sorry that so many of our soldiers were hurt or died in iraq but how about the reality that than this war has also killed more than a half million of the people who were living there before we started liberating them.
that's insanity. so when we tally our dead and wounded, do we care about theirs?
that is sad too.
As flawed as the Republican Party is, you have to hand it to them. They put forward their strongest prospects for November, and they did it fast. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton is crudely going to work scorching the earth beneath her party. The tactic is obvious. If she can weaken Obama this year, she can run an "I told you so, now nominate me this year" campaign in 2012.
Clinton owes money in Ohio? That's NOTHING! I just read she STILL OWES NH for a School Rental of $2,000! Is THIS how a Clinton Administration would act? Not good.
