SEDONA, Ariz. -- Anticipating that he will emerge from Tuesday's primaries having clinched the Republican nomination, John McCain is taking his Straight Talk Express back to the place that made it all possible.
The following week, McCain will take a "thank-you tour" of New Hampshire, where he won his first primary, according to adviser Steve Duprey, a former chairman of the state Republican party. It is an early indication that McCain's upcoming itinerary will be determined more by general-election opportunities -- his aides see New Hampshire as a state he can win in November -- than the primary calendar.
