Democrats on tap for N.C. debate

Posted by Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor April 3, 2008 02:11 PM

The Democratic presidential candidates will likely debate in North Carolina just before that state's primary.

Hillary Clinton just accepted an invitation for the forum on April 27, which will be the first of the Democratic campaign on CBS and the 22nd overall. North Carolina votes on May 6.

Barack Obama, who had previously accepted an invitation from CBS to debate in North Carolina on April 19, has not yet accepted the new date.

The two are already scheduled to debate April 16 in Philadelphia, the week before the Pennsylvania primary.

Everyone saying Barack Obama is not experience enough to run this Country. But face it, which president so far is AS INTELLIGENT AS Mr. Obama. Non so far in my eyes. Look at our present President is he more intelligent than Barack Obama? Yet he serves 8yrs in the White House, and look what the country is going through, because of all the money spent on War.

Before you throw Clinton under the bus do some serious research on Obama because once he gets the nomination you cannot call DNC and say "sorry, we have changed our mind about him" You may want to do that if he gets the nomination and the Republicans and the media start releasing some hidden things about him ..
Its amazing how some people are falling for this Change motto. Obama isn't changing anything. He is doing what others have done- saying one thing and then doing another. He talks against Nafta then tells the Canadians not to worry -its just campaign talk. When he is confronted with it he lies until there is evidence, then he give another speech to cover it up. He tells you he worked for slumlord Rezko for "5 hours"- another lie, there is a long association between them and hundreds of thousands of dollars in deals and influence. He says he didnt hear racist Pastor Wrights cursing of American and the n when he is confronted with the evidence he gives another speech to actually defend that church. He takes money from gas and oil companies and then says he will not be controlled by lobbyists. He is for the "people voting" but then tries to stop the Florida vote because he lost here after camapaigning on T.V. He says he is for Health care and the poor yet his wife works for the Univ of Chicago hospital that charges minorities without insurance 5 times more than whites with it. Michelle says she came from a poor background, yet her upper middle calss brick home shows what a farce that is. Obama was handed legislation in illinois and he claimed it as his own after others had worked hard on it- he steam rolled others there and then spit in their face. He says he was "against the war but has voted numerous times to keep on funding it and he even voted aginst troop withdrawals. Wake up people. The list goes on and on. Who knows what the Republicans will dig up on him when they are backed to the wall.
Go Tar Heel's
Obama missed his calling. He would make an excellent replacement for Rev. Wright. Wake up America before its too late!

Jerome:

Pretty good post. Don't think the weakness of Obama's resume can be overstated or repeated enough. His Illinois State Senate "accomplishments" were engineered by his "godfather" mentor Emil Jones Jr. in order to create a padded resume which would make possible Jones' stated goal: "I'm gonna make me a U.S. Senator", which he subsequently did, with a little character assassination of Obama's opponent. And Obama's short stint in the U.S. Senate has been devoted almost exclusively to running for the nomination. He's done no work in the Committee he chairs. So much for experience.

Obama is just another machine pol. He's trying to reinvent himself with oratory
and populist pronouncements by appealing to the undeniable need for change. But he's gotten in a position to do that by devious and dishonest means. His success is the fruit of the poisonous tree. On what realistic basis can we expect "change"?

Two good posts. The Republicans will wring Obama through the wringer then hang him out to dry. He started out with not much in his speechs but hope which the young people love; however what do they know. They are just starting to understand the good and bad of politics. Once he was taken to task by Hillary Clinton for words and not issues and how to solve them he began to talk the issues and had not one original idea. He took everything Hillary had been saying for years and turned it a bit to make it look like it is his idea. Nonsence!! Hillary will bring change, real change. Men have been running the world forever and whaere have we gotten. Still warring. As a woman she will bring terrific change as her perpective will ber different. To say her experience as first lady is not relevent is ignorant. She was in the White House for 8 years, and first lady of Arkansas for 8 years. She is intelligent and was involved in numerous conversations with her husband on the inner workings. They speak to each other as friends and requals. Neither McCain nor Obama can claim that experience and closeness to the highesdt office of the land. .

One more thing Obamas wife. Wake up people do we want a first lady who introduced race immediately after the Iowa caucuses by saying the black people wpould wake up and vote for Obama. She did not say the people wpould wake up. Also she had never been proud to be an american except when her husband was winning caucuses. She attends same church that spews hate. Nowe she is married to an Accessory?? I have faith in the American people they will see through this oration of hope and see hope is fine but we need someone to do the things we hope for. That is Hillary Clinton.
