Hillary Clinton is finally getting some good news on the superdelegate front.

The Associated Press is reporting that North Carolina Governor Mike Easley will endorse her on Tuesday, a week before the primary in the Tar Heel state.

Easley, a popular two-term governor and former attorney general, had supported former North Carolina senator John Edwards before he dropped out of the nomination race. Easley's support could at least help Clinton reduce the size of her expected loss.

Obama, who is leading in most North Carolina polls by double digits, has the support of more of the state's superdelegates and also has the backing of the two Democrats seeking to succeed Easley. He cannot seek a third term because of term limits.
