Rendell: Ten-point spread 'game-changing'
PHILADELPHIA -- As Hillary Clinton and her supporters await the Pennsylvania primary results at a downtown hotel, Governor Ed Rendell is reiterating the campaign's talking points: a win here is a win, big states matter, and it's no big deal if the nomination fight reaches the convention floor.
Rendell, Clinton's most prominent surrogate here, called a six- or seven-point win for Clinton "pretty significant," but said a 10-point spread, given Barack Obama's heavy spending in the state, would be "game-changing." Rendell has suggested in the past that Clinton would win Pennsylvania easily.
He also invoked his past chairmanship of the Democratic National Committee, saying no Democratic candidate can win in November without winning three of the four key states -- Florida, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. "She will, if she wins, have carried all of those states," he said to reporters in the room where Clinton will speak later tonight.
Of course, Obama's campaign would argue that she didn't win anything in Michigan or Florida, because neither of those votes meant a thing. But Rendell asserted that superdelegates should take the results in those four states into account, as well as the results of head-to-head polls against John McCain.
"If you're a superdelegate, you've got to figure out, what's our chances of winning?"

Obama outspends her, because he 0ut-fundraises her. Hello? Her campaign is 1o million in debt, his is 40 mill in the black. Why? Because people are putting their money behind Obama.
I am amazed at how many men in Montana cannot handle female power and their women will not threaten the men with their support of Clinton.
What can be done in Montana?
If Rendell truly believes the nonsense he's spouting how in the world does he account for the fact that after six weeks of intensive campaigning her greater than 20% lead dwindled to less than 10%?
Despite all the work done by Rendell, Nutter, and the rest of the Clinton campaign it looks to me like Obama is the better campaigner, with the better campaign team, and I can't think of a better example of Hillary's lack of leadership skills.
No, she's NOT going to be ready on day one. She's already demonstrated that, repeatedly.
Considering Obama was more than 20 points down only weeks ago, I think this is a strong show for Barack!
He cant close the deal..If he didnt have 92 percent of the black vote he would not be there, what a shame that there is racism going on with the blacks.....double standard again...She won even with him out spending her 4 to 1.....He cant win ...if Iowa and the other state knew what they now know about Obama...this wouldnt even be close...shame on the media for hideing who this guy is for so long...they kissed his ass and now we all know he cant win the big one...better vote for Hillary or another 4 more years of Bush policies
Congratulations to Hillary on her victory! From Pennsylvania to Pennsylvania Avenue! Go Madame President!
The spread is 8.6% (not 10%) with 98.91% reporting:
