Obama adds congressman to camp
Another California congressman endorsed Barack Obama this morning -- and urged Hillary Clinton to consider stepping aside.
“Senator Barack Obama has captured the imagination of Americans in a way we’ve not seen for decades," Representative Pete Stark said in a statement. "He’s inspired millions of young people to register to vote and join the ranks of our Democratic Party, he’s consistently opposed the war, he advocates universal health care, and he delivers a message that transcends party politics at the same time.
"I have the greatest respect for Senator Clinton and for her many years of service, but I believe the time has come to unify our party," Stark added. "The outcome we need in November is a Democratic President. To achieve that, we must turn our focus squarely on Senator McCain and his quest to continue another four years of the failed Bush agenda."
Obama is extending his lead among superdelegates and is now within, depending on whose count you use, less than 130 overall delegates from clinching the Democratic nomination.

I'm soo happy to hear this...It's time for Hillary to give it up! Barack is the best canidate...PERIOD!!!!
The best "canidate"? You mean candidate....
At least Hillary supporters can spell and we want V-I-C-T-O-R-Y for Hillary!
INTERNETN RULE #312341:
Once you start you start making a big deal over a harmless typo, you have officially loss.
both of you are delusional because neither clinton nor obama will beat McCain. What America is seeing with clinton is yet another classic example of a clinton putting themself before anything else. She is too arrogant to realize that she has lost.
Ronni - what do you even know about obama? What do any of us know? He is weak on defense and terrorism and has a spotty history of decision making.
I suppose it's nice to dream . . however, liberals will wake up to a nice reality when McCain wins.
well Joe... I want steak and lobster for dinner every night. But we all have to be realistic don't we?
and KRS1, first of all, no conservative (my guess you're also white) should be using the name of one of the greatest rappers of all time. You think he supports McCain? Pick another name... Your broad statements are just that... broad. They mean nothing, Obama is weak on this and that, but you follow that up with nothing. You're like every other conservative I know. Have you been awake for the past 8 years? What has McCain done to show he's even half way intelligent? Sunni/Shia... who cares the difference right? Another 100 yrs in Iraq? why not?! I applaud him for his service and everything he's done for this country. But being a POW doesn't make him an authority on defense. It doesn't make him an authority on anything other than human survival skills. So please explain why you think he's better in that specific area?
WHEN HE WINS A NICE ROCKING CHAIR BACK HOME
KRS
Typical rhetoric from the right side, Obama has been very clear on his plans in debates, his book, even speeches. I am afraid that his views play to more than the 10 second sound bite most of Washington gives and the network news covers.
I am afraid a vote for McCain is a vote to continue Mr Bushs failed policies!
I supported McCain in 2000 when he was the maverick before he sold out to the Christian right
Yes, Liberals will wake up to reality when, and if, McCain is every elected. McCain is a liberal after all.
You don't really think McCain actually believes half the things he is campaining on do you.....bwah ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!
Considering that the real KRS-ONE has made tracks blaming Bush and Reagan Republicans for 9/11, I don't think that he will be voting for John McCain.
It continues to baffle me how anyone can support a candidate who has no foreign policy experience, a poor track record of voting at all, lies to the public, hates his own country and had a race hater as his spiritual mentor.
Now who is delusional, KRS1? Have you seen the stats on the number of Republicans voting in the primaries? (and I'm talking about the time BEFORE McCain was the apparent winner.) Democrats and these "liberals" you speak of are coming out in record high numbers to vote. It is highly unlikely that a Republican will win the whole thing. A great deal will depend on who McCain chooses as a running mate. Let's face it, even his supporters aren't naive enough to not consider his age and health.
Obama will win the whole thing...unless a deep, dark secret is discovered and revealed about him before Novemeber.
Lord knows the American people would never elect someone with little or no foreign policy experience, whose major claim to fame was their ability to get crowds of people to "hope" for a different path for America. Except, wait, that's exactly what Ronald Reagan was.
Conservatives fear Obama - really fear Obama - because they know that he has the ability to generate a new coalition of Americans that will replace the now decades-old, stale and mostly corrupt generation of Conservative leaders (if you actually think that a lot of the Republican leadership really is Conservative in the Reagan definition of the term) with young, dynamic, left-of-center populists who could control Congress for decades.
We might not know much about Obama at this point beyond what he's told the American people repeatedly - but what did we know about Bush before he took office and promptly threw the country into a dumpster? What did we know about Cheney before he started his massive campaign of war profiteering?
If the options are between a relative unknown and a McCain presidency that will only continue the rape and pillage of this country - then I'll take the unknown for $1,000, Alex.
JUST BECAUSE HE SPEAKS REAL PRETTY, DOESN'T MEAN HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING.
Enough about this nonsense with Mcnasty's service, crap. Is he the only one to have served this country and gotten hurt in the process??. This guy is just as stupid as Bush is period. Anyone who can't have enough sense to stand far from a Bush 8 years of failed policies to me, is a bigger moron. Oh, i am a republican, if you care to know.
JP- We do know a lot about Hussein Obama. Please feel free to look at his voting record as a state senator. It will tell you all you need to know. Ever heard the saying "You are judged by the comopany you keep"?. Hussein has been linked to multiple felons and people of questionable character. For a man to associate with those types of people makes me nervous. The blind loyalty the young and foolish have for him scares me. His policies are expensive and not fully thought through. I work hard for my money and want to keep it. I should not be required to provide welfare to a majority of free loaders. I want the government out of my house, head and wallet
...to One & All, slow down & look @ the trees in the forest, to much noise...
the last standing will also fall, 4years later, nothing will change,& the noise will once again begin!
Every person who tells me that my candidate does not deserve the courtesy of a full hearing has lost my respect. What are people afraid of? Why are Obahma people in so much of a hurry to end this. Hillary Clinton has won 17 million votes. Why don't those people deserve to be listened too. Senator Obahma won lots of Caucuses. I voted in a caucus. It was a joke. 24 people in my working class town voted out of 800..I don't think the people spoke. But whether you think caucuses are REAL democracy or not. Do not belittle Hillary supporters!
Wow Obama Poster" you must want us to think by the repeated us of Hussein that the real Obama is what? Tell us why you keep using his middle name? Why your not trying to do some childish fear mongering are you?
Your repeated, tired act of insinuation is the real problem with America. To many fools like yourself who constantly waive that flag, scream about the "free loaders" and yet never give those free loaders a chance to make a better life for themselves here. You are the typical moron who "don't like them there funny sound named people." Typical un-american patriot
