INDIANAPOLIS -- Stevie Wonder, a staple of the Obama post-speech set list, said that Barack Obama’s campaign "represents what we as artists" pursue, although his inspiration seemed to derive largely from the sing-songy quality of the candidate's name.

Before being rushed off stage by rain at a closing rally here, Wonder turned the syllables of "Barack Obama" as melismatic notes up and down the chromatic scale, urging the crowd of 21,000 to join him, and put new lyrics to the Obama rally favorite "Signed, Sealed, Delivered."

"This election has set my heart on fire," Wonder sang. "Barack will be president, it ain't no lie."

There was little music in Obama's subsequent criticism of Hillary Clinton’s proposal for a summertime suspension of the gas tax and her new promise to confront OPEC, the consortium of oil-producing nations -- something Obama said Clinton had failed to do while her husband was in the White House, and while she was in the Senate.

"Now you're going to take it to OPEC?" Obama taunted his rival. "That's not being straight with the American people, that's not what we need."

  1. Hilliary Clinton = lie after lie after lie, fraudulant claims to experience, empty promises; ONLY big states are important, smaller states are not important and they don't count, caucus states are not important, don't matter and are undemocratic (her words and those of her campaign managers and aides), slander, dirty trash-and-burn tactics, kitchen sinks, falsle information, pandering to voters on the summer gas tax, won't listen to the professional and expert economists.....she is ABOVE ALL and ABOVE everyone, ONLY SHE KNOWS everything about the economy. She is so very knowledgeable that she has proven she cannot handle her campaign donations, spends foolishly, and wastes her donors' contributions. By the time she got to New Hampshire she was BROKE and has continued to waste whatever her donors contribute. She OWES about $8 Million to middle-class vendors and businesses that provided services to her and her campaign---dating back to Iowa. These are the very people she says is will fight for every day!! She lavishly uses their services and then refuses to pay up, leaving them hanging! This is the PROOF of just how much she really cares about the middle-class sector of our United States. Oh, she also owes Mark Penn about $4 Million and his company over $10 Million, not to mention the $5 Million she and Bill (JOINT ACCT) "loaned" her campaign. Yes, indeed, Hilliary knows more about economics than the experts!! What a poor excuse of a candidate!

Indiana and North Carolina, please help us put the divisive politics of yesteryear into the trash bin. Help us rid ourselves of the lying, fraudulant Clintonion Machine. Senator Obama has already proven himself to be a great leader and uniter---look at his near-flawless campaign, look at how he wisely uses his campaign donations, look at the huge numbers of voters at the primaries and the caucuses; look at how he has inspired, motivated, and energized the voters. Fellow Americans; these accomplishments prove Senator Obama will be an outstanding President; a President who truely believes in "A GOVERNMENT BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE, AND OF THE PEOPLE"!!

Hilliary believes in "A government for the lobbyists and big business, by the lobbyists and big business, of lobbyists and big business with her at the helm!

Remember her words, "Rich people, God bless us" ! What:?? The rest of us are not worthy of God's blessings??

This kind of cutesey news-speak is patronizing and ignorant. Artists attempt to pursue honesty, freedom and truth. The fact that Obama represents these ideals has nothing to do with his name.
